Development is still active (and the game looks way different now!), but this greenlight concept page is not. We've been pretty silent lately, but if you want to keep track of our development once we do start showing it off again, you can follow the Artificial Selection twitter . Thanks for your support!

I was hoping no one would figure it out, but yes, that would progressively make the enemies easier. But if you use that strategy, it makes the game harder overall, since you have to pick out which ones are bad and try to get them to shoot you, without dying from the smart ones later.

What would happen if I let the stupid AI hit me, and did my best against the hard AI. Would that progressively make it easier?

this is a very interesting concept and i would be glad to participate in your... experiments. send me a message whenever you get something ready!
CosmicKiwi  [author] Jan 25, 2013 @ 3:20pm
Thanks for your interest guys. I've finished the first phase of experiments and found that the enemies did not "evolve" correctly, specifically that their evolving code was too fragile and that most small mutations made them useless. I'm rewriting the enemy code now using a different system, and it should be done in a few days. I'll contact you when they're ready for battle. :D

Sounds like an interesting concept! I would participate in the experiment and answer your questions.

I love the concept. Hope no haters show up here. I would love to participate in the "experiment". Send me a message if you would.

tl;dr on the description: A game that mimics biological evolution to adapt to your strategies.

If you want to participate in the experiment, just leave a comment saying so.
