Very interesting idea. One could easily create a world with this if done right :o Just needs a little work around and better structure abilities (like two+ story construction)

Id love to see a forest done like this :3

Pretty interesting idea - hope they have a outdoor tileset + sky in the newly announced sequel to legend of grimrock.
Here's a look at the mod in action:

Everyone's a critic, right?
Gonna download it and try it out. I'll let you know what I think.

Yeah, the problem is that the pattern of the stars repeats itself and there isn't any random rotation. So it looks like a painted ceiling if you move around in an area with a lot of open space. You can check the thread on the official Grimrock modding forums for some ideas how to make a better mod yourself.

Dunno how many people have actually downloaded and tried this out, but it looks a whole lot better in the screenshots than it does in the game. Because as soon as you move in the game, it becomes VERY obvious that it's a flat texture directly above your head, instead of a starry sky.

Cool xd

A new wallset for exterior walls is definately needed for this but this is a good proof of concept. I hope you continue this because I would love to be able to make outside areas.

If there was a way to make the sky parallax that would make it look much better.

A great idea that appears to have been implemented well. I would love to see more exterior locations used in other mods to add some variety to the dungeons; specifcally towns.

Reminds of of Alternate Reality on the Atari ST

This is brilliant.

Don't suppose you'd be willing to join a little collaboration group, working to bring the Eye of the Beholder Series to Legend of Grimrock?

with new wall with a sign like alchimist or blacksmith this could be a very good idea

Lime Dealer 4. okt. 2012 kl. 12:57
the sky looks not bad, but they should add in exterior designs and suff.
Fou 2. okt. 2012 kl. 10:28
nice, i was wondering if there would be some way to make a simple skybox and shop.

I do, but I thought that subscribing to a file only gives you a dat file and not the individual files. Nevermind then.
Neikun 30. sep. 2012 kl. 15:00
You don't keep your custom images inside the dungeon assets folder?
Geistertanz  [ophavsmand] 30. sep. 2012 kl. 14:56
I changed some of the assets from the official pack, so I can't publish the changed wall tiles outside of a dat file. But I posted a description on how to create your own village wall sets on the Grimrock modding forums.

You should host your dungeon files somewhere and post a link to it, too.
