Someone didn't read up on vampires.

As said in the lore of the game, the two diseases and the two vampire breeds are entirely separate, so having an Oblivion's disease progressing into Skyrim's vampires? Well, not my preference, but good to see people adjusting things to their liking, just not going to use this one myself.

Except in reality it's just "hemophilia," and it means blood doesn't clot if, say, you were to get a cut or something.
The reason this is here is because the disease was called "Porphyric Hemophilia" in Oblivion and Morrowind.
On another subject, I like this mod because "Sanguinare Vampiris" sounds a little too clichéd and not that subtle.

Porphyric Hemophilia is a mental disorder i believe, and it makes its victims "drink blood" but its not like todays depiction its more like they bathed in blood and drank it when they felt like it. THeres a woman from guess where Romania who had the condition.

Sorry, but this just plain isn't lore friendly. Perphyric Hemophilia leads to a much more harsh version of Vampirism, where one would burn in sunlight, but I'm sure you know this. The strain of vampirism in Skyrim is very different, and caused by a different disease.

v Forgot to add, I just like the sound of Porphyric Hemophilia more than Sanguinare Vampiris.

That's true. I suppose I could start trying to modify what it does to make it match previous titles, to keep the name.

I hate to be that guy, but as cool as it would be to have Porphyric Hemophilia in Skyrim, the Undoer is very much correct. They are similar diseases, but are not the same. This happens in the the real work a lot. Even in the opposite. (IE, Strep Throat and The Flesh Eating Disease come form an incredibly similar strain).

It's a strange thing, Sanguinare Vampiris has different effects to Porphyric Hemophilia and thus is considered a different disease by scholars and the likes, but to the common man they're still Vampires because they still are weakened by sunlight, and fire, have cold skin and drink human blood.

No worries, it is rather pointless. Almost as pointless as changing the name the disease had for the last two games.

that is kinda rude, and some people will find this useful stop being an idiot

Not to be rude, but that seems exeedingly pointless.
