Pestilence (Fallen Orolos) missing free action.

✅ Discord Link Here ↗[discord.com]

Update: Apr 28 @ 10:18am

First off, removing all the changes Proxy already copy/pasted:
📌 Pestilence (Fallen Orolos) attacks 1 > 2
📌 Shrieker (Plangent Orolos) gained Concussive
📌 Withering Breath (Vorodai's Leviathan) gained Corrosive
📌 Hymn of Decay initial morale damage 1 > 2 (same as it is p/turn)
📌 Dimensional Reverberations (Plangent Orolos) dimensional echoes 1 > 2
📌 Data Hack (Emulated Mind) duration 5 > 10
📌 Several other misc. fixes

So what's new?

Abyssal Rage. I was hoping Proxy would do something. This ability sucks. Now very marginally less so.

Next, Shoch'itris Lairs. Why? Because: 48 HP punchbag that does nothing but sit idly eating up resources for 7 turns and drags the game down. Super annoying to play against (when AI loves to spam them well into the late game). So now they should be somewhat easier to clear once they start Breeding. But the real boon to counterbalance that is: Deformities no longer suffer morale loss (too easy to shake them at 6 morale before, leading to loss of dmg).

Remember, unlike summons (Cyber drones & Nightmare clones), Deformities have an upkeep. And it does add up once they start propagating.

Lastly, Vorodai's Leviathan was still in need of a bit of help. Withering Breath no longer consumes an action *and* Essence Syphoned now lasts 3 turns (I did reduce the armor back to 1 as it was before DLC patch 1.1). Bear in mind Essence Syphoned stacks (it always did, but Leviathan could practically never kill more than 1 target before). I could ramble on as to why Leviathan is the weakest Titan (limited mobility coupled with melee range), but hopefully that requires no explanation. With any luck now (i.e. Unholy Haste and/or Atramentous Aura), Leviathan might finally be the meatshield it always dreamed of.

For perspective, *every* other Titan has additional free actions that do damage or buff them in some way. Also, Abkluths' Frost Breath is comparable to Leviathan's Withering Breath in form and function (cone attack) and is a free action on a 1 turn cooldown (Withering Breath is on a 3 turn cooldown).

Thinking out loud... Holy Inferno might also need to be freed (especially now that Singularity Blade had its ranged fixed/nerfed from 6 to 3). Maybe next patch!

Remember too, Leviathan is the only Titan (besides Cherubim) to lack Massive Splash, so harder to deal with infantry.

(⁂) I'm guessing devs overlooked how OP Leaden Rain would make Icarus Satellite (double attacks, 2 > 4). I hopefully addressed that (but kept Crippling).

And finally removed Dozer Blade from Atlas Tank as it served no purpose (not even aesthetically) as devs did nothing with it all these months.

PS: And removed all audio changes. It's 4 MB and I wanna keep things light. Guess the missing voicelines are intended. And the kitchen-knife-on-pans kinetic SFX is whatever.

Update: Jan 22 @ 9:07am

Reverted Armor of Faith to 83% dmg reduction (cover, evasion, invulnerable).

Update: Jan 21 @ 9:01am

(†) I said no nerfs, I know. But this one's more like a slight rework. Armor of Faith, having no cost while being usable every 2 turns, just didn't feel right. Not just because you could make any unit practically unkillable, but because you could throw it into the fray to soak in all the incoming overwatch (especially abusable VS the AI). Having a cost (like every other HUD ability) just feels right. As a tradeoff, it's got a cooldown of 2 from the get-go now and cost is reduced by the T8 upgrade instead. Lastly, it now "only" reduces dmg by 67%. Units are still almost unkillable, though (just not undamagable).

On the other hand, Words of the Prophet was prohibitively expensive to use on a whim. Now it's a bit more affordable early on. (And if its entire purpose was converting Reavers to found a 2nd city before T3, then so be it. Reavers' Found City already got nerfed when used by non-Chieftess players.)

Data Hack should need no explanation. It was hardly worth the cost.

PS: Armor of Faith cost was originally removed and Words of the Prophet had its cost doubled in beta (0.10.3).

Missed a little fix to Hymn of Decay not hitting for 2 morale on first hit (oversight).

Update: Dec 20, 2024 @ 9:57am

Changed Withering Breath (Vorodai's Leviathan) from Horrifying to Corrosive. Might be slightly more thematic. This is what I originally meant to do but didn't wanna "sideline" Ioks. However, it's fine. Leviathan is a T9 Titan.

Update: Dec 11, 2024 @ 10:10am

Updated to 1.0.17 to avoid a potential crash.

Removed adjacent Black Hole weapon profile fix as devs already addressed the half accuracy oversight.

Removed Seed of Extinction as devs now gave it Ignores Cover too. However, patch also broke it, so: fixed it not excluding allies on adjacent tiles.

Update: Dec 8, 2024 @ 2:22am

Removed changes to Massive Splash, Gladial Emanator, Industrial Density, Seed of Extinction (but kept Ignores Cover), etc. as Proxy already echoed those. Also reverted changes to The Outsider for similar reasons (but kept the 40 cost).

Gauss Cannon (Atlas) dmg buff was also reverted, didn't feel right being "better" than Goliath Cannon. Instead, Atlas got cheaper (Cherubim/Crodeus tier).

Essence Syphoned buff was reverted as it is a stacking buff (if hardly will that ever happen).

Added a couple more fixes (notably Atramentous Aura and Combat Drugs movement buff not applying, and Black Hole lacking an adjacent weapon damage profile at 50% accuracy).

Dark Caress (Surthodai's) now stacks, making it more interesting/worthwhile.

Other potential issues (if that):

I really don't like Antimatter Grenade hitting like a truck and nuking everything to extinction, for example. I also don't feel Cyber infantry like Kriteria Annihilators and Elohim Maelstrom (units with insane damage potential and range, thank Time Shift) should have a whooping 8 armor (talk about "glass cannon"). They could easily do well with 6, up from Aranean Stalkers and Malakim Destroyers at 4. But it is what it is.

Cyclone and Phoenix Interceptor. Tried different minor tweaks, but it changes the unit role too much and/or breaks other pre-established rules (e.g. bumping Cyclone Autocannon to 8 accuracy when all other tanks have 6, and instantly Cyclone becomes too good). Or making Anti-Air -33% VS ground which forcibly requires also buffing Anti-Ground for consistency.

Problem is: I don't wanna do nerfs or over-buff stuff.

And Atlas Tank getting Dozer Blade is a head-scratcher. I rather let Proxy address that.

Update: Dec 1, 2024 @ 9:16pm

Removed The Outsider as a unique Dreameater unit. While fun, I rather keep things close to vanilla. Instead, The Outsider now costs half as much. For reference, Tribunal is the only leader with abilities that cost 80 (everyone else is 40). Problem is, The Outsider burns through the influence needed to keep Whispers of the Voice going. A more inexpensive summon felt warranted. As a small bonus, the Dreameater starts with +3 levels now (similar to Fervid Insights for Deformities).

Bleed's 20% dimensional echoes bonus was also reverted. Doesn't feel right for advanced resources. Will have to find another solution to the Bleed Cultivation conundrum. (An afterthought: it actually may not be so bad if one tile can generate 2.6 echoes for the cost of 4 algae, as opposed to 3 for 6.)

The change to Words of the Prophet from 50% HP to broken units just feels thematically more appropriate. Half-dead enemies aren't exactly... rewarding.

Icarus Satellite needed something extra. It was a worse Bombardment (8 dmg but 2 attacks and no influence cost, albeit 5 cooldown).

Atlas is still being looked at (why does it have a useless Dozer Blade?).

(##) Shamhurish Assistance was neither showing anywhere nor working as stated: instead of reducing Cyber units research costs, it reduces all Cyber tech costs (basically like Balanced Progress). Like Balanced Progress, it now shows as a player trait (as in, Comms screen).

Update: Nov 30, 2024 @ 11:11am

Before patch 1.0.14, Black Hole, Tactical Nuclear Missile and Seed of Extinction were identical as far as dmg, attacks and armor pen go (i.e. 4 dmg, 3 attacks, 4 armor pen). Seed was just 50% accuracy. Black Hole and Tactical Nuclear Missile got changed to account for changes to Splash. I merely attempted to do something similar for Seed by bringing its dmg and armor pen to tier 8 (for reference, Black Hole was brought to tier 11 and Nuke to 10).

There's a rhyme and reason to this. Generally speaking, most weapons have their dmg and armor pen tiers match each other. So changing one should change the other (as it happened with Black Hole and Nuke).

For reference:
🎲 1 dmg (tier 1)
🎲 1.5 dmg (tier 2)
🎲 2 dmg (tier 3)
🎲 3 dmg (tier 4 )
🎲 4 dmg (tier 5 )
🎲 6 dmg (tier 6)
🎲 8 dmg (tier 7)
🎲 12 dmg (tier 8)
🎲 16 dmg (tier 9)
🎲 24 dmg (tier 10)
🎲 32 dmg (tier 11)

Armor pen generally matches dmg tier: from 0 armor pen (tier 1) to 10 armor pen (tier 11).

(##) KENAZ and ZEPHON Interference (affecting Cyber production) were supposed to show on corresponding buildings, but didn't. The workaround was to show trait on city, which then applied it to buildings.
