    • Added extra mission for Brassican Route: The Fifth Kind of Wizard. Enables use of Wizards' Tower while following Brassica Prime.

Beta 1.9.0 (Asgarnia)

Asgarnia is the primary focus of this patch, with reworked missions for the nations that can form it, a new set for Taverley, and a vast unified Asgarnian tree.

Meanwhile, Gunnar's Runecrafting Crusades have seen considerable changes and Varlamore has been brought up-to-date with new additions.

Map Changes
  • New provinces for Cam Torum and Neypotzli in Varlamore

National Flavour
  • General
    • New nation: Fist of Guthix - Can be created by a Guthixian Asgarnia
    • New nation: Neypotzli - Boss nation found in Varlamore
    • Localised national ideas for all nations in Asgarnia and the Troll Country
  • Al Kharid
    • Magic Training Arena province modifiers now persist through capture by other nations
  • Ardougne/Baxtoria/Kandarin
    • Added Fishing Platform and Sea Slug events
  • Avizaal
    • Reworked as Cam Torum with new national ideas.
    • New flavour event when Runecrafting institution spawns, allowing the capital province to produce runes.
  • Asgarnia
    • Now carries forward generic Asgarnian missions
    • Now carries forward unique missions of Burthorpe, Crailey, Dark Wizards, Donblas, Taverley or Varze if formed by them.
    • Buffed national ideas to be more in line with other formables
    • Massive new mission tree. Has 29 missions, plus extra depending on religious choice:
      • Saradomin: 17 missions. Generally the historical path, lots of White Knight/Temple Knight stuff.
      • Zamorak: 12 missions. Take down Entrana, explore the Underground Pass and free the werewolves from the vampyres.
      • Guthix: 17 missions. Form the Void Knights, secure supplies of goutweed, proselytise in the Feldip Hills and reseal the Temple of Lost Ancients.
      • Brassica Prime: 9 missions. Discover the lost city of Zanaris - which will pay top gp for cabbages. (Start as Crailey if you want to convert to Brassica Prime)
      • Generic (any other religion): 8 missions.
    • New flavour events
  • Burthorpe
    • Tweaked missions to better-fit around generic Asgarnian missions, added new mission for free Troll Country province
  • Crailey, Donblas, Dark Wizards
    • Rearranged missions to allow use of generic Asgarnian missions

    • Expanded mission tree from 4 to 27 missions, but no longer uses generic Fremennik missions

    • Unique casus belli vs. nations producing runes (until the Age of Adventurers)

Religion
  • Localised names of heretic rebels
  • Ralos/Ranul - Aspects boosting development no longer can be used on provinces of more than 10 development of that type. Aspect costs adjusted.
  • Saradomin - 9 new random events

Miscellaneous
  • Updated to EU4 version 1.37
  • Added Varlamore login screen as a loading screen
  • New Runecrafting Crusades bookmark (mostly for internal testing purposes, 1930 bookmark is the only properly-supported one)
  • Defined some AI personality likelihoods. This should make some nations like Donblas and Gunnar more aggressive, but Asgarnia and Misthalin less so.
  • Added code to prevent some formables like Grand Ourania appearing prematurely by rebels

Beta 1.8.0 (Canifis)

Werewolves now have the opportunity to grow from a minor pack serving under Morytania, to establishing contact with their lost maritime cousins, the Aquos, to finding allies to break themselves free of Vampyric rule.

However, the vampyres of Morytania won't want to let their subjects slip from their grasp, as they reconquer parts of the region they abandoned for centuries in search of new tithes.

Elsewhere in the world, Varlamore has been completely overhauled, the Kharidian coast has been reworked, the tree distribution of the world has been greatly improved, there are new trade goods, monuments and more.

Key Changes
  • Varlamore completely reworked - Buffed development of many provinces elsewhere in the world to compensate, and moved Lost Grove further north to make room.
  • Reworked Kharidian coast to be closer to OSRS
  • Texture and tree maps improved
  • New missions for Ashihama, Canem/Canifis, Morytania, Varlamore
  • New nations: Aldarin, Araxytes, Nightmare, Stranglewood. Also under specific circumstances, Tasabek, Tlati, Zanaris
  • New government reforms: Necromantic Dictatorship (Republic unique to Heroraisers, Shadowmancers, or Port Phasmatys by event), Werewolf Council (Werewolf-culture republic), Ectofuntus Barrier (republican military doctrine, Port Phasmatys by event only)
  • Vampyre Kingdom now has access to Blood Power mechanic, which can be earned via tributaries, spent for unique Vyrewatch Sentinel units among other things, and having too little will cause the Excessive Tithe disaster.
  • New trade goods: Terracotta, Refined Products
  • 10 new monuments (requires Leviathan expansion)
  • Mod updated for EU4 version 1.36
  • Three new loading screens

Beta 1.7.0 patch notes (Jaldraocht)

The seemingly impossible dream of reforming the Zarosian Empire has become a little more likely as Jaldraocht can now take steps to rebuild Senntisten, and from there, try to make the Empire anew. It won't be easy, however...

Map
  • Moved Venenatis and renamed some Forinthry provinces in accordance with changes to OSRS' Wilderness bosses

Government
  • Boss nations' opinion penalties with other nations are now tied to the government form, rather than the country.

National Flavour
  • New startup screen text for Jaldraocht, Kharidians, Menaphos and generic Kharidian Desert nations
  • Localised national ideas for Berserkers, Callisto, Lithkren, Kharidian Empire, Merfolk, Scorpia, Venenatis
  • New generic Kharidian mission tree for all Kharidian-culture countries without a tree of their own; contains 15 missions
  • New Nation: Senntisten. Formable by non-Wushanko-culture Zarosians who have the Saranthium area controlled, and either 200 development, or playing as Jaldraocht with sufficient mission tree progress.
    • This nation is designed as a mid-way between starting Zarosian nations and the Zarosian Empire. Resurgentia is the Wushanko-culture equivalent.
    • If you free Azzanadra, he can lead your nation with the unique Reformed Zarosian Theocracy government form.
    • Has 22 missions, shared with the Zarosian Empire
  • Canem
    • Added new decision to found the village of Canifis, also renaming the nation to Canifis
  • Jaldraocht
    • National idea Last Zarosians now provides Republican Tradition, so it's actually useful for their government form
    • New mission tree with 15 missions, leading you towards forming Senntisten
  • Kharidian Empire
    • Now requires 50 Kharidian provinces and specific cities to form, rather than the entire Kharidian region.
  • Kharidians/Al Kharid
    • Added images for all existing Kharidian/Al Kharid missions
    • Depopulation of the Plateau event now gives you an option to have fewer penalties, but change the province's culture to Hill Giant - so long as you haven't already given it to the Saradominists.
    • New flavour event for the corruption of the Duel Arena
    • 5 additional missions for Al Kharid.
  • King Black Dragon
    • Now follows Godless (Evasive School) instead of Zaros, reflecting his neutrality in the wake of the Zaros-Zamorak split in the fear it would destroy the dragons and dragon riders.
  • Menaphos
    • Added images for all existing Menaphite missions
    • Added 6 additional missions. The tree is by no means complete yet. Menaphos will have its time in the sun eventually!
  • Misthalin
    • Rearranged mission tree somewhat, and added In Aid of the Myreque mission. Unlocks the unique Burgh de Rott Rambler mercenaries, which are cheaper and take less land attrition.
  • Nardah
    • Now is Saradominist on the 169 5th age bookmark, to reflect the events just before the Spirits of the Elid quest
    • Added Spirits of the Elid events
  • Scabarites
    • Added 7 more missions, for a total of 14.
    • Added icons for missions
  • Zarosian Empire
    • Formation no longer changes primary culture, and no longer renames Viggora's Folly to Viggora's Fortress (he was a traitor to Zaros, after all)
    • Traditions now grants +1 diplomat instead of +2 diplomatic reputation.
    • 21 new missions! Also carries over Senntisten missions, for a total mission tree of 43 missions!
  • Zemouregal
    • Missions slightly adjusted to account for moving of Venenatis

Beta 1.6.2 Patch Notes (Neitiznot)

Turns out a whole lot of extra bugs haven't been fixed yet, so here's another bugfixing pass - along with an expansion for religions in the Nonintervention group!

National Flavour
  • Localised national ideas for Burgh de Rott, Gunnar, Saranthium, Troll Stronghold, Unterwulf, Zarosian Empire
  • Arposandra - Anima Manipulation national idea now just -10% build cost with no penalties.
  • Jatizso - Added 2 extra missions
  • Neitiznot - Added 2 extra missions
  • Zarosian Empire - Now only needs Lassar rather than the whole of Asgarnia to be formed.

Religions
  • Nonintervention Group (Guthix, Godless, V, Northern Pantheon)
    • Guthixians and V now have religious schools just like the Godless.
    • Guthixians can invite scholars from other Guthixian schools; Godless can invite scholars from other Godless schools. V can invite from V, Guthix or Godless. Northern Pantheon lacks schools of its own, but can invite from some Guthixian, Godless and V schools (but not all).
    • Guthix - Corrected instances of Balance still being labelled as "Karma". New icons for Balance implemented.
    • Godless - Now has access to a reskinned version of Sikhism's Guru mechanic. Every 50 years (until the Quests institution) a new Adaptation will be developed. To balance this, Godless schools have been nerfed somewhat.
    • Added startup text for the Godless, Guthixian and Northern Pantheon religions.
  • Wushanko Group - Added descriptions for aspects of faith

Governments
  • Druidic State/Druidic Order - Now offers Balance decay instead of a flat Balance increase

Institutions
  • Architecture spawning changed from requiring a Workshop to requiring three buildings in a province, something that is far easier to achieve in 4A 1950.

Map
  • Kandarin province Donjon d'évasion renamed to Zanash in accordance with lore
  • Gunnar now appears on the map in certain years on the historical start.
