Additions
  • Two new taunt sounds.
  • Props in the way of Sanic will be violently thrown out of the way.
    • This behaviour can be controlled with the convar npc_sanic_smash_props.
  • Resources will be automatically downloaded by clients.
    • This behaviour can be controlled with the convar npc_sanic_force_download.
  • Seconds between Sanic's attacks can be controlled with the convar npc_sanic_attack_interval (default is 0.2).
  • On maps without navigation information, Sanic will offer to learn the map.
    • Allowing Sanic to do this will fix any situations where Sanic doesn't move.
    • See the thread entitled "Sanic isn't moving! What can I do?" for more details.
  • Invulnerable players will be knocked around by attacks.

Changes
  • Sanic is now admin-only.
  • Major performance enhancements. I was able to support 100 Sanics comfortably.
  • Increased default value of npc_sanic_expensive_scan_interval from 0.1 to 1.
  • All hiding places on the map are now used, rather than only those nearby.
  • Further lowered default value for npc_sanic_attack_force from 1500 to 800.
  • Being killed by Sanic now causes your ragdoll to be thrown.
  • All sounds quieted down a touch. Except for the music, of course.
  • Sanic is now located in the "Nextbot" category on the NPCs tab.
  • Improved handling for cases where Sanic would get stuck. This should no longer be an issue.
  • Split cvar npc_sanic_path_recompute_interval into npc_sanic_chase_repath_interval and npc_sanic_hiding_repath_interval.

Fixes
  • Sanic will no longer drop a ragdoll if you manage to kill him.
  • Sanic now obeys ai_ignoreplayers.
  • Chase music is now properly affected by timescale.
  • Blood is no longer emitted when Sanic is shot.
  • Various bugfixes from errors.garrysmod.com.

  • Removed unused convar npc_sanic_hiding_search_radius.
  • Removed unused convar npc_sanic_stuck_jump_interval.
