Map
- Constantinople now starts with Ramparts as well as the Level 4 Fort and the Theodosian Walls (which have been reduced to 50% instead of 60%)

Portuguese Mission Tree
- "Colonise West Africa" now grants vision on the West African Coast region and the Cape Coast will be annexed by Portugal
- "Settle in Central Africa" no longer requires a colony to finish it and now grants Benguela to Portugal
- "The Cape of Good Hope" now no longer requires Light Ship fraction of your navy or total percentage of Naval Force limit filled
- "The Cape of Good Hope" also now grants vision on South Africa and a colony in Inhambane
- "Settle Indonesia" now can finish if you have a province in Malaya, Indonesia or the Molucca's regions

Prussia Changes
- Prussia can now be formed if you are Hussite

Religion
- The Centre's Reformation of Protestant and Reformed have had regional and cultural modifiers added to them to make them more likely spawn in certain areas

Revolutions
- The “L’Etat c’est moi” and “Political Absolutism” government reforms can progress revolutions

- A significant portion of the Anatolian coast is now Greek Orthodox
- This is to reflect the majority Greek Orthodox people's of the Anatolian coasts still living there
- Some coasts have not been altered due to historically larger Turkish and Muslim populations in those areas (such as Sugla)
- Byzantium now has a core on the Anatolian side of the Bosporus and Dardanelles
