Step 1: Install Source SDK 2007

Navigate to the tools section of your Steam library, and install the Source SDK 2007 tool as shown.

Step 2: Locate your steamapps folder

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods

Step 3: Extract client files to their destination:

Go to your download folder, open up FAS_202_Alpha_Full_Client.zip, then drag the "fas" folder into your sourcemods location.

Step 4: Apply the Major Instability Fix (Client.dll downgrade)

Now repeat step 3, this time with the fas folder, the dropbox link provided here
Select "yes" to all.

With the 2.0.1 client.dll downgrade I've included, a solution pioneered by the FAS2Surge community, your Firearms: Source client can maintain all-vanilla weapons while reaping the improvements and fixes that the community improvised in order to increase player stability: this means that without further patching, your client will have a reverted client.dll to make it playable, while still being compatible with commmunity "2.0.4-u" servers.

the lack of players is normal or am i just using an outdated version of the game? (i've seen that there have been talks about FA:S 2.0.4., but i cant find any download links for that, only update patches
