Download Guidelines
  • How to download an item from FaceRig Workshop?
    • Go to http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=274920
    • Choose an item
    • Click the green Subscribe button
    • Close FaceRig if it was already running. The new content will be downloaded, progress should be dispayed in Steam Client.
NOTE: It may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection. If the download does not start, you may restart the Steam Client and try again.
    • Start FaceRig. The subscribed content will be available in the corresponding dropdown list.
NOTE: It may take a while to load the Workshop Item for the first time.
Upload Guidelines
  • Download the FaceRig Workshop Utility Kit (FRWUK) from Steam Client > Library > Tools

  • How to upload a new item http://youtu.be/P-4AfoSvmL8
    Additional Notes:
    • The selected Data Folder can take any name and path, and it must contain the content folders. You can upload several FaceRig items (avatars and props) with a single Steam workshop item (just like a package of FaceRig items)
    • Example: You have a Data Folder C:\My Workshop Folder\ , and you want to upload a prop and an avatar. You should place the prop and avatar folders in your Data Folder. You will then have C:\My Workshop Folder\avatarTest\ and C:\My Workshop Folder\accesories\propTest\. In the FRWUKb program you must choose C:\My Workshop Folder\ as Data Folder.
    • A Preview Picture File path will be chosen by default as [your workshop folder]\preview.jpg. You can change the path to a different file, place a preview.jpg file at the path generated, or leave the field blank.

  • How to update an existing item http://youtu.be/nM5DwNGMwtk
    Additional Notes:
    • You can also update an existing workshop item you previously added by accessing its page on Workshop
    • Every time you update an existing item with the FRWUKb you must specify a Data Folder and Preview Picture File, even if you only change the title or description. When updating, make sure your Data Folder contains all FaceRig items the workshop items holds, even if you update just one of them.

As a reminder: a steam workshop item can hold one or more FaceRig items (props and avatars)

Have fun! :D

some of them could be fixed by redownloading content after removing files from Workshop folder, however, not all of them. It's a pity, hope in future modding support will be better.

Hi Lesnoy Dyatel,

Unfortunately we can not guarantee the proper functioning of Workshop items. I recommend to contact the creator of the item you are interested in,

It would be nice after paying for it to have the avatar choices and not buy them over and over.

Hi Leon S. Kennedy, Dr Batman PhD

@Leon S. Kennedy : no, using workshop items will not disable any achivements.
@Dr Batman PhD : The documentation for creating custom content for FaceRig is being delivered with the program and can be found in: "<Steam Library Folder>\SteamApps\common\FaceRig\Bin\Tools\Docs\" . For more information you can also check "3D - Community Created Content" subforum here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/274920/discussions/6/
