Reason being is because of many reasons
-Because we upload the mod on a regular basis
-we can get really easy feedback on balances and bug fixes
-users do not have to sign up for discord and dont have to use it, or can just leave it if they do not wish to be a part of the discord community
-by building a discord community, we can see if the community still wants to have the mod updated
-we also host our own servers with the mod for people to play on as a way for people to test the mod without having to download it.
-once the mod if complete and both members of the community and developers have lost interest, we will upload the mod to ModDB. Until then, its only available through discord
Some people are waiting for it to be a finished mod and be uploaded to a site that isnt discord. Which is fair enough. I will say however you will be waiting a really long time, as we are far from completing the mod
