Titans Game List

Description
Current Version: 1.0

Titans Game List brings back the Advanced Setup game list from ESO interface used in AoM: Titans.

Improvements:
  • Extended Game List - Exact map, ping, and rating are now visible in the game list.
  • Game Detail Section - No longer consumes half of the lobby. Concise, simple.
  • You can now see exactly who is in the Game Room, before even joining.
  • Default sorting option is now "Oldest games on top"

How does Titans Game List work?
  • This mod replaces the uigamelist.xml file located in the ..\data folder of AoM:EX installation directory.
  • It redefines various UI elements, their alignment, and visibility.
  • I have left comments annotating various sections and elements, for those of you who would like to further modify/fork this mod.

------------------------------
Known Issues:
  • Day/Night cycle information is not visible from the Lobby. You can only see it once you join a game. I dont believe this is an issue as people do not select games based on the day/night cycle info. Its an aesthetic parameter.

As always- any comments, suggestions, or questions are welcome.

@RR
Now I see what you meant - I didn't look closely enough. I'll look into it and see if there's a workaround.

I already did do that before (I'm not that great in scripting but I figured this would probably the way to do it). It happens that the item is indeed the first one on the list, however it doesn't sort the game list by game type but still by oldest first. Instead, you have to click on the 'new' 4th item in the list to sort it by game type.

@RR:
Go to
..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age of Mythology\mods\Titans Game List\data
Open file called uigamelist.xml - you can use regular text editor, however I'd recommend using Notepad++ since it makes reading the file easier (syntax highlighting).

On the very beginning of the file starting with line 7 you'll find a section titled <!-- STEAM LIST FILTER: --> .
Right underneath you'll find a list of items enclosed with <listitem> tags.
Simply cut the line: <listitem>$$23984$$Sort: Game Type</listitem>
and paste it in front of the first item in the list.

That will make the game sort by game type by default.

Hey I like this a lot!
I think GoldenAxe already asked this in a way, but would it be possible to change the default sorting from Oldest First to Game Type? Currently trying to modify the UI myself, but without any luck...

@RambiZ:
This is not a mod problem. There is a game/workshop issue that affects certain installations, causing them to disable mods. There have been several reports of this in the forums. I'm sorry, but I do not have a definitive solution for you at this time. You can try unsubscribing, deleting the mod, and subscribing again.

@Meowric:
The mod works correctly. Problem is on your end. Make sure that the mod is active and that u dont have any other UI mods that conflict. Try disabling & enabling the mod again and clicking "reload assets".
If that doesnt help, investigate if the mod is indeed in your /mods directory. Some people used to have all kinds of weird issues related to the workshop.
