Sleeved Scaled Armor (Mashup)

Omschrijving
I've noticed it's still hard to find sleeves and pant legs for some of the vanilla armors, so this mod aims to try to fix that.

What it is: A mashup of meshes, made in nifskope, with very limited experience. Essentially, there are two meshes, merged together, 4 arms, 4 legs, etc., with the textures strategically erased, so you see only some of them. There are going to be spots that overlap and/or look sloppy. This is because, if they were cut any further, there would be (more) gaping holes in the armor.

What it isn't: Perfect, and it's not going to be. To do it right would require using blender, or something like it, to actually remove parts of one mesh and fit them to another. This is simply beyond my skill, so please don't ask. This represents the best I can do with what little knowledge I have.

The mod includes scaled armor with mage robe sleeves and pant legs, for males. The female model is less cooperative, so it ended up with miner's clothes instead. They are called Sleeved Scaled Armor.

There is also a version with leather sleeves and pant legs, from the Thieves Guild armor. This one, for the same reason stated above, is only available in the male model . It is called Heavy Scaled Armor.

Both are standalone, and should not interfere at all with the normal scaled armor, found in game.

I have removed that overgrown guitar pick pauldron from the male armor, both because I could and because I hate it. HATE! Unfortunately, the female mesh is one piece, and I was not able to remove it.

Both are craftable and upgradable at the forge/workbench, respectively. The cloth sleeves add 1 lb and 1 point of armor. The leather sleeves add 3 lbs and 2 pts of armor. Not much, but you aren't running around in the snow, with no sleeves now.

If you want leather armor with sleeves and pants, fosterxbl (nexus) has done far better than I ever could, (the right way.)

See Cuir Bouilli here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58871/?

There should be a replacer version, in addition to the normal .esp.

I have had to pack the archive by hand, as creation kit kept missing things. If you discover a missing mesh or texture, please let me know, and I will try to include it. Overlapping edges and rough spots, as mentioned above, are something we're stuck with, at least for now.

Cleaned with TES5edit 3.1.3

Thanks to Bethesda, Nifskope, GIMP, for the tools, and to Bryan Wee for his youtube tutorial on mashups.

Dread, I'm afraid I don't have Skyrim LE or its creation kit installed anymore. You might like the bandit's iron armor in Brigandage, by FranklinZunge, on nexus.

Here is a smaller replacer, with a similar iron mesh.

These are my fav iron mods, as I'm not a fan of the usual half chainmail sleeves.

Thanks a lot, I've been wanting a mod like this for a long time now. Could you possibly mash up together Iron Armor and Miners Outfit please ? That'd be great.

No worries. Did you find what you needed?

No, because it will be different, depending on how many mods, dlcs, etc. you may have. Best to use console help

help "sleeved scaled"

or

help "heavy scaled"

to find the codes, then use those codes for the player.additem command.
