Cowboy Bebop - Spike Spiegel Build [DLC Required]
De vooners
This build is based off of Spike Spiegel, the main protagonist of Cowboy Bebop. The main weapon of the build will be the Baby Deagle, Spike's signature weapon. As of my current testing, this build has worked on Death Wish, though I have yet to test it on One Down. Do tell me if I can change the build to improve it in any way.

About the build.
Requirements
  • Infamous Level 5
  • Butcher's BBQ Pack DLC OR the Gage Assault Pack for the Dragon's Breath rounds/GL40.
  • Point Break DLC for the Baby Deagle.
  • You gittin gud.

Pros of this build:
  • Has 60% dodge and 30% crits
  • Has skills to be effective against Cloakers and Tazers
  • High mobility
  • Has Swan Song
  • Can stun enemies and deal with shields using the Dragon Breath rounds.

♥♥♥♥ of this build:
  • Low health and armor, making you vulnerable to snipers.
  • Your life depends heavily on the holy lord and savior RNGesus.
  • Semi-low fire rate
  • Although not completely ineffective against dozers, they are still a problem.
Build Variant #1
Mastermind:

In Medic, I've picked up:
  • Combat Medic basic just to move up a tier.
  • Quick Fix aced, as we can deploy our First Aid Kits a lot faster.
  • Uppers aced, which allows us to carry a total of 14 FAKs and helps the team as allies who get downed near them will restore health instead of going down.

In Sharpshooter, I've picked up:
  • Sharpshooter basic just for some stability.

Enforcer:

In Shotgunner, I've picked up:
  • Underdog basic, just for some increased damage.

In Tank, I've picked up:
  • Resilience aced, because seriously ♥♥♥♥ flashbangs.
  • Transporter basic, did I mention that this game has bags?

In Ammo Specialist, I've picked up:
  • Scavenger basic, to pick up loose ammo. This skill is completely optional.

Technician:

Just took Stable Shot basic for some accuracy.

Ghost:

In Artful Dodger, I've picked up:
  • Duck and Cover aced, since this is a dodge build. This will allow us to maximise our dodge.
  • Parkour basic, to allow for more movement speed.
  • Inner Pockets basic, to get more concealment so that we can dodge.
  • Shockproof aced, to deal with tazers.
  • Sneaky B*stard basic, for dodge.

In Silent Killer, I've picked up:
  • Second Wind basic, just a filler skill.
  • Optical Illusions basic, another filler skill.
  • Low Blow basic, for crits.

Fugitive:

In Gunslinger, I've picked up:
  • Equilibrium aced, for accuracy and draw speed.
  • Gun Nut aced, for rate of fire and increased mag capacity.
  • One Handed Talent aced, for increased damage.
  • Desperado aced, mainly for the reload speed, but the accuracy is also helpful.
  • Trigger Happy aced, for more damage.

In Revenant, I've picked up:
  • Nine Lives aced, as a filler skill for Swan Song but also to give us one extra down.
  • Swan Song aced, so that if we get down, we can at least get to cover and clear a room.

In Brawler, I've picked up:
  • Martial Arts basic, as a filler skill but also to take less damage when a cop tries to melee us.
  • Bloodthirst basic, which allows us to do 1600% more melee damage, as long as we get at least 16 kills without using a melee. This skill is great for when you need to reload and there's a cop in front of you.
  • Pumping Iron basic, so that we can do more melee damage. Don't bother trying to melee specials, you should be shooting them.
  • Counterstrike aced, Spike is a master martial artist and we're trying to recreate that. Also helps us deal with the problem of Cloakers.

Here's the build in PD2 skills for you lazy people.[pd2skills.com]
Build Variant #2
This variant of the build moves some points from Fugitive to be able to get Bullseye basic and Inspire aced. I'd like to thank TotallyNotGale for making this variant of the build and sending it to me.

Weapons
Primary

Our primary weapon of choice will be the Mosconi. Although Spike hasn't used this gun before, I will explain why I chose it later.

The mods:
  • Dragon's Breath Rounds
  • Road Warrior Barrel
  • Gangsta Special Stock

With this, the Mosconi suddenly becomes a concealable shotgun that can stop enemies in their tracks. Use it to stop a cloaker charging at you. Use it to deal with shields. Use it to deal large amounts of damage to a group of enemies. It's your utility weapon.

Another option is the GL40.

The mods:
  • Concealment Boost
  • Pirate Barrel
  • Sawed-off Stock

The GL40 is a compact grenade launcher that can allow us to easily deal with shields and groups of enemies, as well as help remove the faceplates off of Bulldozers. If you plan to use this, make sure to bring Incendiary Grenades/Molotovs as your throwable so that you can use fire to stun cops.

Secondary

Our secondary, of course, will be the Baby Deagle. This is Spike's signature weapon, and is the bread and butter of this build.

The mods:
  • Stability Boost
  • Spike Kit
  • Spike Grip

If you want, you can put the Flash Hider onto this gun. I didn't because I wanted the gun to resemble Spike's gun as closely as possible. Use this gun to pick off enemies and deal with dozers. Switch to the Mosconi when you run out of ammo or need to deal with shields.
The other essentials
Armor
Of course, your armor will be the Two Piece Suit, to allow for maxiumum dodge and movement.

Equipment
You'll bring First Aid Kits. Drop these around the map for you and your crew to heal themselves. If you place them in the correct places, your team might not even need Inspire as the FAKs will heal them, though it is still VERY advisable to have someone with Inspire on your team.

Perk Deck
Of course, this will be Rogue. Dodge is king on higher difficulties, and Spike also doesn't bring much in terms of armor when he fights. Just pure dodge.

You can also use other perk decks, such as Ex-Presidents, Grinder or Sicario, to name a few. Hell, even Anarchist might work if you play it safe and stick to cover. (Which you should be doing anyway.)

Throwable
HEF Grenades, as since we already have fire damage we could use explosives. Spike is also seen using grenades in that fight scene at the church with Vicious.

Of course you can use any throwable you like.

Melee
I'm using the Empty Palm Kata, just because Spike is a well-versed martial artist.

Of course, you can use any melee weapon, as long as your detection stays 5 or below. If you plan on using the Buzzer/Electrical Brass Knuckles, you can skip getting Counterstrike aced as these melees can stop the Cloakers in their tracks.
Playstyle
Considering this is a dodge setup, you have high mobility. Do remember that just because you can dodge does NOT mean that you can run around the map shooting enemies carefree. That might work on the lower difficulties, but you'll be punished for doing that on the higher difficulties. Dodge is not an excuse to be lazy and not take cover, but rather an alternative to armor builds. You sacrifice having greater health and armor to get more mobilty. You are still VERY squishy, and if dodge doesn't proc, well let's just say you're going to carry that weight.

Remember: STICK TO COVER. Cover is the BEST armor in this game, so stick to it like glue. Move from cover to cover, and only make a leap in the open after you've peeked and killed all of the cops in the area.

Also, don't forget to lay down your First Aid Kits around the map for you and your crew to pickup. Place them in areas where you and your teammates are holding out, and around objectives like hacking computers or defending drills so that your teammates don't get down trying to play the objective.

Well, that's all I have to say in this build. Have fun, and see you, space cowboy.

@Spike Spiegel Sorry dude, not to sure about the masks to be honest since none of them really say cowboy bebop. There used to be a mod which changed the suit to Spike's suit, but sadly it hasn't been updated.
