Introduction
This guide shows you the correct setup that should be used in order to achieve good times in the rally, some sections of this guide are optional and some sections are based on opinion, and are by no means the best possible setup for the Satsuma
Engine

Best engine setup
  • Racing Radiatior
  • Racing Carburetor
  • Racing Exhaust
  • 3.700 Gear Ratios are ver popular and seem to be the best for rallying

The air fuel mixture is a tricky thing, it depends on car to car. I highly reccomend buying an air/fuel mixture gauge when changing the mixture. Make sure the engine has run for a bit before adjusting the mixture. Any where inside of the marked green area on the gauge is best.

For the exhaust, I prefer to have the car straight piped, since it makes the Satsuma louder.
But for optimal performance, a full exhaust delete including Manifold is best to reduce weight.

Running Gear

The running gear is extremely simple, Rally tires are a MUST
Interior/Exterior

Most of these modifications come down to personal choice, but some can give a performance boost

Interiour
  • A single racing seat, as a second only creates excess weight
  • Roll Cage
  • A racing harness is extremely helpful, this can save your life when in even the most severe crashes
  • Rally Wheel
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Dash mounts to monitor engine condition
  • The radio is not needed and creates excess weight
  • The rear seats are not needed and create excess weight
  • an emergency triangle to get past inspection

Exterior
  • Removing rear bumper, boot, doors and hood all help to remove excess weight
  • Vehicle skins can be downloaded, Here [my-summer-car.wikia.com] is a guide on how to install liveries

End
That raps up the guide!
Feel free to adjust and tweak your Satsuma to get the best times out of it

Some things, you can't pass inspection with rally tires so you don't need the warning triangle. Pass inspection first then swap in the upgrades.

No idea what I'm talking about here but loose as possible (down scroll) on all cylinder intake and outtake seems to give best performance.
The guide confuses me because removing the exhaust headers/manifold should REDUCE performance. Yes you lose weight but in real life you need to push the exhaust out faster.
I don't see a need for a pipe or muffler though since that just moves the gas to the back of the car. I will try experimenting but it's hard to test this exactly.

What about the rockers in the engine bay, what tight should I have them looser or tighter?

no i think all those things are fine.. i think it might be because i drive too fast?
i always drive as fast as possible with my car so that could be it.

One more thing, make sure you dont have any oil leaks, could be a lack of oil in the engine

This is a hard problem to fix, had it myself. Not entirely sure what fixed it... Try turning off the choke, making sure your car is not overheating... so install the extra gauges. Check your coolant, dont always drive on the redline. Try getting the engine tuned and fixed at Fleetar's...

I will try to dig through my reddit archive to find the post that fixed it

Interesting, I would probably do the translations after I have completed one in english

Horizon A small standard increase if you could add, then the satsuma troubleshooting table would also be in Finnish because I do not spend much time translating it once you've finished it.

Hmmmm, If I did something like that I would probably make it a sort of infographic like this : http://i.imgur.com/Xpok31V.png

But a lot less complicated of course.

It would take some effort so dont expect it to be finished any time soon
