Starting the End Game
Heads Up:
The end game is a huge grind for an extremely short bonus scene.
The quests become very repetitive and there is way less story. The true ending is short (about a paragraph long) and might not be worth it if you're not that interested.

There is about five to eight more hours of gameplay to complete the True Ending depending on how fast you are. It is mostly spent clicking on the shears and trees.

If you do not want to spend that long harvesting fruit, there is another guide here on steam that shows screenshots of the True Ending so you can spoil yourself if you would like :)

============

If you're going for 100% completion, this guide aims to ease the grind by making it a little faster.

Once you complete the Normal Ending and save your game, return to the main screen and load the game file labeled with "Ending." This will start the objectives you need to reach the True Ending.
Finish Your Pre-Ending Objectives

If you have any outstanding quests from the Pre-Ending section of the game, finish those FIRST!
Finishing them will unlock all the End-Game objectives you need to complete.

Especially complete the Pickling and Average Fruit objectives early on, as those will become increasingly difficult the more you level up.

Save the mincemeat you make. Do not sell it for the "Eternal Mincemeat" objective until you have completed all Mincemeat quests.
Pickling and Average Fruit Challenge

Your first task should be to finish the "Pickle 100 of Each Type of Fruit" objective:
100 Pickled Kidneys, 100 Pickled Hearts, 100 Pickled Stomachs, 100 Pickled Livers & 100 Pickled Colons

The reason to do this first is that it requires "grabbing" Average level fruit before it becomes Great or Excellent. The more you level up your trees, the smaller time window you will have to "grab" the Average fruits before they ripen. It's best to do this quest early while your trees produce slower.

You only need about 5~6 Lizards to get the pickling jars up to a decent speed.
Save buying any more for the "Zoo" objective until later.

Each plant only needs a certain amount of water to generate Average fruit:
  • Kidney: 28 Water
  • Heart: 85 Water
  • Stomach: 95 ~ 99 Water
  • Liver: 16 Water
  • Colon: 120* Water
(*the Colon plant tends to grow in stages, so some fruit may mature faster than others)

Add the correct amount of water, and then avoid watering the tree until you've pickled all the Average fruit.

Your next quest is to repeat the same technique to complete Average Fruit Challenge.
200 Average Kidneys, 200 Average Hearts, 200 Average Stomachs, 200 Average Livers & 200 Average Colons.

With those out of the way you won't need any more Average fruit for any other quests, so you can focus on leveling up.

NOTE: If you have already max-leveled everything and own 30 of every animal, be sure to follow the watering chart and add the water manually. Also, release all your butterflies. The butterflies speed up the ripening process and make this objective harder.
Leveling and Great Fruit Challenge

Next we want to increase the levels of everything in the Greenhouse, while collecting Great Fruit.

Spend your money to buy about 10~15 Homunculi.
If you don't have money for this, DON'T sell your Mincemeat. Just keep going with the guide and buy Homunculus when you can.

The Homunuculi's experience gain ability stacks. That is to say, if you have around 10 of the little guys standing in front of one plant, a normal Experience gain of 5 exp will jump up to around 50!
While you're grinding, aim to collect Great and Excellent fruit so that the experience bonus is higher. Average fruit have very low exp returns and should be avoided.

When your Trees are around Level 80 pause the level grinding and focus on farming Great Fruit. At level 80, Great Fruits are easy to farm without worry of them turning into Excellent Fruits.

You will need:
200 Great Kidneys, 200 Great Hearts, 200 Great Stomachs, 200 Great Livers & 200 Great Colons.

Great Fruit Watering Chart:
  • Kidney: 40 Water
  • Heart: 115 Water
  • Stomach: 190 Water
  • Liver: 30 Water
  • Colon: 260* Water
(*the Colon plant tends to grow in stages, so some fruit may mature faster than others)

NOTE: If you have already max-leveled everything and own 30 of every animal, be sure to follow the watering chart and release all your butterflies. The butterflies speed up the ripening process and make this objective harder.
Max Level Everything

Once you've finished the Great Fruit objective, there's no reason to hold back on leveling.

Buy as many Homunculi as you can

Use the same strategy as earlier: nudge all the homunculi into one area, then level up the nearby tree/tool for huge experience point bonuses.

This will work for all tools (Pickle Jars, Meat Grinder, Watering Can) and all trees (even the Colon tree, just position the Homunculi near the Liver tree on the ground.)

At this point you should be making exclusively Excellent Fruit.

If your trees are still in the 60~70 level range, you'll need to remove 1~4 fruit from each tree while the fruit ripens into Excellent quality.

Once you reach the 80~90 range, you should only need to remove 1 fruit from the tree, and all the others will become Excellent.

Once you reach level 100, ALL fruit can become Excellent by merely continuing to water and it will no longer require any pruning.
Hidden Excellent Fruit Orders
The Hidden Excellent Fruit orders are a part of the main game, but they're easy to miss. They won't appear in your Quests section until you already have the amount of Excellent Fruit required to fill the order. If you have not already completed them, they should appear as you begin farming Excellent Fruit.

These orders give generous reward money and can be used to help gain some quick cash.

For each type of Fruit Organ, there will be a quest for: 10, 20, 30, and 50 Excellent Fruit.
You'll need 110 of each type of Excellent Fruit total to complete these orders.
Turn in your Mincemeat
Through the process of making Excellent fruit you should have plenty of Mincemeat to finish the quests for 500 and 1,200 Mincemeat pieces.

If you're still short, throw some water into the Colon and Heart trees and then use the Shears to add all the unripe fruit into the Meat Grinder machine.

Now you can sell your excess Mincemeat to make some quick cash when you need to; the Mincemeat won't be needed for any more quests.
Buying the Zoo

The Zoo Quest requires you to buy 30 of each type on animal from the shop.
This requires ¥682,200 total money.
You should be on your way there with cash from Mincemeat/Excellent Fruit orders. If you still need more cash, continue farming Excellent Fruit and completing the quests in the next sections.

Once you've bought 30 of each animal you should get a notification telling you your quest has been completed. You no longer need to keep all the extra animals.
  • If your pickling is done, release all the lizards.
  • If everything is at max level, release all the homunculi.
  • In general, release all the butterflies as they cause your ripening growth to be uneven and slow down fruit generation.
Keep the frogs, moles, and woodpeckers. Release a few woodpeckers if you find yourself clicking on them by accident, or if your game speed is running too slow.
Merchant and Excellent Fruit Challenge

Now that you've started gathering Excellent Fruit in large quantities, the Merchant Man's story line is likely to show up. His quest appears upon the completion of End-Game Objectives, or upon gathering certain amounts of Excellent Fruit.

His quests are fairly static and require only Excellent Fruits. He will ask for:
  • 20 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 30 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 50 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 80 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 120 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
Once you have finished his story line, a new tool will be added to the game that allows you to "talk" to the trees. This will be one of the later objectives you complete, so focus on farming Excellent fruit for now.

In addition, you will have 3 Excellent Fruit Challenges:
  • 100 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 200 Excellent Fruits of Each Type
  • 500 Excellent Fruits of Each Type

You can work on these at the same time as the Merchant Man's quests. Sometimes the Merchant's quests won't unlock without completing a Challenge first, so aim to work on them simultaneously.
Farming Excellent Fruits

With your Level 100 Trees, you should be getting Excellent Fruit by this amount of Max-Water Fills:
  • Kidney: 2 fills (96 Water)
  • Heart: 2 fills (200 Water)
  • Stomach: 3 fills (300 Water)
  • Liver: 2 fills (74 Water)
  • Colon: 4 fills (400 Water)
However, even with the Watering Can at max level your water won't refill fast enough to keep up with these demands.

One of the fastest ways to farm the Excellent Fruit is to make use of the Colon Tree's Sap.

When everything is at max level the Colon Tree's Sap will INSTANTLY fill every tree with Fully-Ripe, Excellent Fruit. This means what would usually take you 13 Max-Water Fills will happen instantly all at once.

Fill the Colon Tree with one Max-Water Fill and wait for all the unripe fruit to appear. If Sap shows up, click it. If not, use the shears to remove the unripe fruit and try again. Usually you will get at least 1 sap for every 2 Max-Water Fills. The further you get in the game, the more the sap will appear. Keep at it and you'll get more Excellent Fruit returns than trying to manage all 5 trees.
Greenhouse Reports

There are 11 Greenhouse Reports to turn in:
  • Report 1 - 100 Fruit
  • Report 2 - 200 Fruit
  • Report 3 - 300 Fruit
  • Report 4 - 400 Fruit
  • Report 5 - 500 Fruit
  • Report 6 - 700 Fruit
  • Report 7 - 1,000 Fruit
  • Report 8 - 1,500 Fruit
  • Report 9 - 2,000 Fruit
  • Report 10 - 3,000 Fruit
  • Final Report - 5,000 Fruit
The Greenhouse Reports should be put off until you have finished your Excellent Fruit objectives. You can clear the first few if you need the extra cash, but it's better to put them off until later as they have NO fruit quality requirements.

This means that you can farm any level of fruit to complete this objective. You can continue using the Colon Tree Sap technique, but in addition you can give every tree a Max-Water Fill and collect Average or Great fruit if needed. The goal is just to collect as much fruit as fast as possible.

The Greenhouse Reports unlock based on your Save File's Gameplay Time!
By now you should have at least ~10 hours in your save file, and you will probably have the Greenhouse Reports 1 through 7.

The other reports unlock after approximately these Total Gameplay Times:
  • Report 8 - 11 Hours
  • Report 9 - 13 Hours
  • Report 10 - 15 Hours
  • Final Report - 16 Hours, 30 Minutes
These are when they appeared for me, but it seems like the times vary slightly.
You can leave the game open and idling without any input and the quests will unlock.
Sap

Collecting 500 Sap is a big grind, but as soon as you Max Level everything and start growing massive amounts of Excellent Fruit, you should see an increase in their appearance rates.

To farm sap you want to initially grow as many fruits as possible. When the fruit FIRST spawns as a black and white outline, it has a chance to spawn as Sap instead. This means you want to prioritize fruit growth but not ripening.

If you haven't already, sell all your butterflies as they will take the water you give to the plant and push it towards ripening rather than growth.

Give every plant a dose of Max-Fill Water and then begin immediately using the Shears to eliminate any excess fruit that did not turn into Sap. This will make a lot of mincemeat, so check in to make sure the machine doesn't get over-stuffed. Continue watering and removing with the shears, with the goal being to spawn as many Sap as possible.
Talking to the Trees

Once you finish all the Merchant quests, you will be given the ability to purchase a radio that allows you to "talk" to your Organ Plants.

These radios become increasingly expensive to buy. However, once you complete all the Average/Great/Excellent Challenges, the ability to sell your excess Fruit stock in Eternal Quests becomes available. Use these Eternal Quests to save up your cash.

Radio Prices:
  • Vegilingual: ¥62,000
  • Thornlingual: ¥80,000
  • Banalingual: ¥115,000
  • Maplingual: ¥146,000
  • Vilingual: ¥183,000
Once you have a Radio, you DO NOT need to do anything with it or interact with it!

Watering and harvesting your plants counts as "interaction" and eventually through the process of harvesting the plant will pop up with a dialogue box and talk to you.

Each plant has 4-6 dialogues. These dialogues unlock based on the amount of water given and number of Fruits harvested.
The Heart, Stomach, and Colon plants go faster (more fruits per harvest).
Whereas the Kidney and Liver plants take longer due to their smaller yield.

Each tree requires about 100 Fruits to be harvested per Dialogue.
Finale

Once you have finished all the objectives, you should only have Eternal Quests in your quest log.

Go to the "Achievements" tab and you will be able to see the finished portrait.

If the portrait remains unfinished, look to see which bubble is unfilled. Most likely you have not yet unlocked one of the Garden Reports due to your in-game Save File not having enough playtime.

After the portrait completes itself, return to the main gardening screen. The Storefront door will light up allowing you to watch the True Ending!

Congratulate yourself, enjoy the credits, and maybe think about cooking some Liver for dinner.

@Witch of Lanterns - I'll go ahead and update it to say 95-99 water! It was always a bit of a fuzzy number, but that's a simple enough update that I'm happy to throw that in there. Glad the guide is still helping out! :slimetabby:

A minor nitpick, but in my experience the average stomachs require 99 water, not 95. Otherwise, this is a FANTASTIC guide.

From my game evolution, the Merchant Man only started to appear when I was done with the villager quests. Which was for me the last quest to do (if I don't take into account the "Eternals" quests).

Anyways, thanks for this Guide @MontSchmibbles !

a tip for leveling up: keep watering collon tree and picking it saplings. it grows all other organs with high quality, I think it's way faster :tinder:

The Merchant Man's quests definitely seem to be tied to the Excellent Fruit challenges! If you have any unfinished, keep working on those and his story line should eventually appear. His questline is a lot slower to show up than the main game characters.
