SEGA Bass Fishing Achievement Guide

So basically I'm doing this because its not on here yet.
I do not claim ownership of this guide. Credit to Metalteeth0 on XboxAchievements. If they want me to remove this, I will.

A Gift Lure

You got a new lure in ARCADE MODE.


Just keep catching fish while palying ARCADE MODE ad eventually you'll get this achievement.

Arcade Winner

You cleared ARCADE MODE.


Basically just go through all 4 Areas in an ARCADE game. This achievement will unlock after beating the final Area.

Unbelievable Size

You caught a bass that weighs more than 20 Ibs.


Just catch a fish that weights 20 Ibs. or more. I caught mine in the Palace Area in ARCADE MODE.

Ranker Killer

You caugth over 30 Huge basses in ORIGINAL MODE.


This will come to you eventually if you keep playing ORIGINAL MODE. Just try and catcch the large, yellowish colored fish. It is clear which are the big ones. They are over 10 Ibs. Be careful, the huge bass are much harder to catch than smaller ones. Reel it in slowly, trying not to let the tension meter go in the red.

Amateur Winner

You won the Amateur Tournament.


The Amateur Tournament is your first tournament in ORIGINAL MODE. It consists of 5 stages. You can catch and keep an unlimited number of bass. There is no weight limit to the bass you keep. As with all tournaments, you have 3 sessions of 4 game hours to catch the fish per stage. Just try and catch the big and huge bass, but if a smaller one bites, catch it as well.

Challenge Winner

You won the Challenge Tournament.


The Challenge Tournament is the second tournament in ORIGINAL MODE. It only consists of 2 stages. You can catch and keep an unlimited number of bass. There is a weight limit of 3 Ibs. for the bass you keep. As with all touraments, you have 3 sessions of 4 game hours to catch the fish per stage. Just try and catch the big and huge bass, but if a smaller one bites, catch it as well. It may be above the weight limit.

Professional Winner

You won the Professional Tournament.


The Professional Tournament is the third tournament in ORIGINAL MODE. It consists of 5 stages. You can catch and keep only your best 5 bass. there is a weight limit of 3 Ibs. for the bass you keep. As with all touraments, you have 3 sessions of 4 game hours to catch the fish per stage. Just try and catch the big and huge bass, but if a smaller one bites, you can just let it go if you think it won't be your top 5 bass.

Your opponents next catch anything above 35 Ibs. in the tournament, so if you can get above 35 Ibs. you should be good.

Perfect Angler

You won all the stages in the Professional Tournament.


THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE!

You have to win all 5 stages in the Professional Tournament. On the summary page where it shows all your fish and your weight total at the end of the stage, if you didn't win, quickly force close the game and try again.

Masters Classic Winner

You won the Masters Classic Tournament.


The Masters Classic Tournament is the final tournament in ORIGINAL MODE. It only consists of 2 stages. You can catch and keep your best 7 bass. There is a weight limit of 4 Ibs. for the bass you keep. As all tournaments, you have 3 sessions of 4 game hours to catch the fish per stage. Just try and catch the big and huge bass. If a smaller one bites, you can just let it go if you think it won't be in your top 7 bass.

Your opponents never go above 51 Ibs. in the tournament. So if you can go above 51 Ibs. you should be good.

Top Water King

You caught over 50 basses in ORIGINAL MODE by using Top Water lures.


Just use the pencil bait or popper and catch bass. To use the pencil bait, reel in slowly while flicking the rod left and right to make the lure look like a bug in the water.

Lure Collector

You got the 14th and final Lure by placing 1st in all 5 Stages of the Professional Tournament.


THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE!
You start with a few lures, and over the course of playing through ORIGINAL MODE, you gain the other 13 lures. If you are able to get to the Professional Tournament, you will have 13 lures. Make sure to win all 5 stages in the Professional Tournament to get the Sonic lure. the achievement unlocks when you visit your tackle box after the Professional Tournament. It can be found under Data.

I Love Fishing

You caught a total of 500 basses.


This achievement is a grind. After a run of ORIGINAL MODE and ARCADE MODE, you should be around 200 to 300 bass. To hit 500, play any mode, all count to your totals. PRACTICE MODE even counts so it'd be the best to play, as there is no timer, no loading screens after the first one, and the fish constantly restock. Using the reeds, morning, in the rain, You can average about a fish every minute.

It will unlock right when you catch the 500th fish.

Fun Fact

These achievement icons are way out of place. If you looked at the PS3 or Xbox version of this game you'd see the Achievements/Trophies icons are put in different places than these ones. For example, the Achievement "A Gift Lure", the Achievement with the Sonic lure as the icon is actually the Achievement "Lure Collector" on Xbox and PS3.

This thing's been up for fuckin 6 years and you're the first person to tell me there ain't no road map, young me's an idiot. Just use Pencil Bait and Popper a lot the achievement will pop.

For the Ranker Killer achievement, the best way I found out through experience is starting Stage 4 in the Amateur Tournament at Lake Crystaldew is going to Falls Area under cloudy or rainy conditions and going all the way to the right of the area to catch Huge bass. They average around 17lb or even more but be careful because the casting distance is far for when you try to catch these bass or the game might not start the time day with cloudy or rainy conditions requiring you to restart if you want to get the achievement as early as possible.

shallow crank. and spin worm i used the most whilst doing this in their varied colors. i 100'd this game also don't forget to do that top lure achievement stuff tho while going thru the game!
