Also in Birthday it was clear that the past has been changed and memories became bright, but in Paradox in Dale's minds we clearly see that his birthday memories remain unchanged and painfull. Such painfull that psycological treatment is needed. I don't think that it would be the case after rebalancing the substance of these memories then I suppose that Birthday happens after Paradox.
The 1st begins in the cabin duting Case 23 and the 2nd in that marbre room beneath the Lake. Back in The Cave we see on the cave painting the scene of Dale descending at the bottom and passing corrupted souls of the guests on his way to that room. That's how his 1st trip ended.
The second trip starts during The Cave events. He obtains the golden cube and starts flickering between human & corrupted state. I think that events of Birthday & Theatre are happening exactly during that 2nd trip, because he rides upwards still flickering between human & corrupted state.
