The Forest : Crafting

Crafting is a useful and effective feature where new items can be crafted by combining crafting materials. To craft an item, place the item's necessary components in the middle of the inventory by right-clicking each item individually. When done with the right items, a gear will appear below the items in the inventory. Right-clicking this gear will create the desired item, which can be put into the inventory by right-clicking it again.

Armor

Kill a lizard and skin it. Then click on the lizard skin in your inventory to equip or use it. A yellow bar appears next to the red bar. This indicates how much armor you currently have.

NB:

Lizard & stealth armor take 20%damage, bone armor takes 40%

1 Lizard Skin + 15 Leaves

Arrows

Arrows are good for hunting, and can be used with a craftable bow. Feathers can be found either by killing birds or by randomly picking them up anywhere in the forest. Fire arrows can also be crafted Inventory holds a maximum of 30.
Tip and Hint: Quickest way of getting feathers is by using small stones to kill birds, allowing you to kill them from a distance and without the bird noticing.

5 Arrows:
1 Stick + 5 Feathers

Bone Arrow:
1 Stick + 5 Feathers + 5 Bones

Bombs

Bombs are very powerful and effective when it comes to killing mutants, it can slide a few feet and then makes a small explosion.The coins are found near the plane, in suitcases and marked on the map.The circuit board is found near the plane and marked on the map. Booze is found in the plane as well as in suitcases and marked on the map.
Tip and Hint: Use Tree Sap to make sticky Bombs.

1 Booze + 5 Coins + 1 Circuit Board + 1 Wrist Watch

Bone Armor

Bone Armor is recomended when it comes to surviving in the Forest. Lizard & stealth armor take 20% damage, bone armor takes 40%.

Bone Armor:
6 Bones + 3 Cloth

Bow

Used to launch arrows, good for hunting. Cloth can be found in suitcases, and rope can be found in caves and where marked on the map. A fully charged arrow shoot takes 2 seconds bending.

Bow:
1 Stick + 1 Cloth + 1 Rope

Club

Slow, but good in damage.

Club:
1 Stick + 1 Skull

Energy Mix

Effective way of gaining back your stamina and energy when exhausted.
Energy Mix:
1 Chicory + 1 Coneflower
Energy Mix+
1 Chicory + 1 Coneflower + 1 Aloe

Fire Torch

FireTorch can be used as a weapon or to light the way. Sticks can be found anywere in the forest, cloth can be found in suitcases and on the beach.

Fire Torch:
1 Stick + 1 Cloth
Fire Torch +
1 Stick + 1 Cloth + Booze

FlintLock

FlintLock consists out of 8 parts. Explode caches to collect them.
NB: Requires flintlock ammo.

HeadBomb

You can get a head by choping it of the mutants or cannibal`s body.
HeadBomb:
1 Head + 1 Bomb

Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine can be made from plants, used to give instant heal. You can find Marigold on the ground almost everywhere and Aloe on the ground around very large trees, or by farming.

Herbal Med:
1 Marigold + 1 Aloe
Herbal Med +
1 Marigold + 1 Aloe + 1 Coneflower

Molotov

Molotov can be thrown at natives, the molotov is a one hit kill and can kill multiple enemies with one throw. It will explode as soon as it comes in contact with the ground or natives. Molotovs can be used to fuel fires. Both required items can be found in suitcases and marked on the map.

Molotov:
1 Cloth + 1 Booze

Paint

Red Paint can be used to confuse mutants or cannibals getting them to believe that you are some sort of chief giving you the respect and bowing to you, it works when you apply the paint on you,it gets washed off when its raining or when you swim .You can also use Paint with the stick, rock and axe.

Blue Paint:
2 Blueberries / Blackberries + 1 Tree Sap
Orange Paint:
2 Marigold + 1 Tree Sap

Quiver

Quiver allows you to carry more arrows. Adds 20 to passive arrow carry capacity.

Quiver:
3 Rabbit Skins + 1 Rope

Rabbit Fur Boots

Rabbit Fur Boots can be worn on feet to gain some protection from cold and slightly increased stealth.

Rabbit Fur Boots:
3 Rabbit Skins + 2 Rope

Rabbit Pouch

Rabbit Pouch allows you to carry berries. Approach bushes whilst holding the rabbit pouch to collect blueberries, snowberries and twinberries.

Repair Tool

Repair Tool replaces adding tree sap to repair structures. Hammer at structures to repair them.

Repair Tool :
2 Stick + 1 Rock + 2 Cloth + 10 Tree Sap

Rock Bag

Rock Bag increases rock carry capacity by 5.

Rock Bag:
3 Rope + 1 Cloth + 3 Rabbit Skins

Rope

Rope is used in the construction of the bow, the raft and the House Boat. It will also be required for some traps. They are currently found hanging in caves and in native camps.

Rope:
7 Cloth

Snow Shoes

Snow Shoes prevent foot sinking and slow down while walking in snow.

Snow Shoes :
5 Stick + 2 Rope

Stick Bag

Stick Bag increases stick carry capacity by 10.

Stick Bag:
2 Rope + 3 Cloth + 1 Rabbit Skins

Sticky Bomb

Sticky Bomb:
1 Bomb + 1 Tree Sap

Stone Axe

Stone Axe can be used as a weapon and for cutting down trees. Both the rock and the stick can be found anywhere in the forest.

1 Stick + 1 Rock + 1 Rope

Water Skin

The waterskin can be used to store polluted (lake, pond) or clean (water collector) water.

Are any of the crafting recipes available ingame? If not, this is something the devs should look into. It is neither fun nor immersive for new players to have to put their game on hold after less than five minutes of their first ever playthrough just to have to hunt down the relevant info from a wiki or guide.

You now require the new item electrical tape, as well, to craft the bomb now. Recipe is the same, just plus electrical tape.
