Introduction
I did a search and was not able to find anything on Steam that identified the weapons in the game by visualization so as I was missing a weapon for the achievements (which I really wasn't the achievements are apparently just buggy) I decided to create a quick guide in case it will help a fellow player.

The goal of this guide is to assist you in visually identifying each weapon so you will know it when you see it in game. To achieve this object I will include the silhouette of each weapon, which is useful to know when you are presented with the ability to swap weapons on the HUD. In addition I will include an image of the weapon as seen when on the ground so that you can readily identify each weapon.

It is not my objective to cover magazine size, damage, effectiveness, etc. If I discover any other interesting tidbit I will be sure to pass it on. Let's get started...

08A-110 Service Pistol
The Service Pistol is one of the two weapons you start the game with. The Service Pistol is also the only weapon you cannot drop or exchange out. It has unlimited ammo so it is great for shooting out explosive barrels when you are not under fire and want to conserve ammo. Once you obtain the player perk that overloads the pistol it becomes basically a one hit-one kill weapon.

This is the Service Pistols silhouette, which I have included for completeness. Since you never encounter a pistol on the ground I do not have an image to include for that.

A80-R Assault Rifle
The second weapon you start the game with is the A80-R Assault Rifle. I normally use the sights when I am figthing and this weapon seems to kill enemy troops more accurately than the Vorus Ion Rifle, but that may just be my perception. As you journey deeper and deeper into the alien facility and ship, ammo for this weapons decreases as there are less dead Marines to scavenge from.

Vorus Ion Rifle
The first alien weapon you encounter is the Vorus Ion Rifle, which seems to do less damage than the A80-R Assault Rifle, but it does have the advantage of not needing to be reloaded. However, it will overheat with continuous fire. Burst fire works well for me regardless of the weapon.

Vorus Blaster
This weapon just doesn't do anything for me personally. I tried it a few times but just not a weapon I enjoyed. The secondary fire can clear a few enemy units out of the way at a fair distance so that can be useful at times.

Combat Shotgun
The shotgun is mostly effective for up close and personal fighting. However, the melee ability is fairly effective for up close encounters already, and melee kills count toward an achievement, so I tend to ignore the shotgun. Your play style may increase the importance of the shotgun.

EL05-2C Minigun
The minigun is usually a disposable weapon in Alien Rage - Unlimited. That is to say most times you will find a minigun, pick it up, deplete the ammo and then drop it. When you pickup the minigun you do not drop one of your existing primary weapons, and attempting to switch to another weapon while carrying the minigun will cause you to drop it. The minigun takes a second or two to start firing so using burst fire can be a painful task, but is doable if you are trying to conserve ammo and prolong the usefulness of the minigun.

Submachine Gun
The submachine gun is only available on a couple levels (campaigns) and it does not kill as effectively as the Assault Rifle, in my opinion, so I tend not to use it. Still, here is how it appears in the game.

Sniper Rifle
The Sniper Rifle ammo is scare, and it is difficult and unwieldy to use shooting from the hip, in my opinion. This weapon is mostly useful in a few specific sitations. You will know them because the game places the weapon there for you to access right were it is most useful. There are couple points where you are being sniped and they fire at you relentlessly. I take them out with a headshot using the sights of the Assault Rifle myself, rather than the sniper rifle as targetting is difficult when you are zoomed in.

Rocket Launcher
Rocket Launcher has limited use due to lack of ammo resupply opportunities, but it can come in handy on occassion.

Vorus Plasma Arc
The Vorus Plasma Arc is introduced late in the game. It is not a bad weapon, but by the point you get to use it you probably already have developed a favorite weapon. You can fire this weapon in three ways: burst fire, constant stream of plasma or secondary mode.

Conclusion
Pretty simple guide, but if it saved you some time in your pursuit of the weapon specific achievements then the guide was a success. Thanks for taking the time to read through the guide. Any feedback or suggestion is welcome!

I've not played the game since back in 2018, so I am not aware of anything new (if there is). I'm not one to replay a game I have finished as I have too many still not played. I appreciate the suggestion though.
