"My entry for VectaDesu 15 and presenting now Akemi Homura from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. Please note the fact that as source scan served a official art, but which isn't regular art of Madoka. The original was made by the mangaka Suzuri. This guy has kind of a weird style, compared to his awesome weapons designs, sometimes the characters are kinda simple and lack any main appeal. The difference from the usual Madoka art should be also noticable due the washed out colors and different face and body contruction.
Anyways that also a part of the challenge for vector artists, right? First, I made the outlines to regular & straight instead the sketchy style also they are now continous on every spot. Missing part of the hair/head was redrawn by myself. Here I want say a big thanks to my great friend Isshi to his help with this. Also to match the complexity of the weapon, I used gradients, gaussian blurs and light/shadow effects to give her the real deal of appeal what our Akemi-chan definitely deserves. Certain parts also have different coloring, but those where only cosmetical changes. Hope it's likeable!"
