Status Update
We've been Greenlit!!!!
Release date: December 2017

Genesis is a survival horror game set in space. In the game, you play as Andrea Winter, Captain of the Colony Ship "Genesis".

We here at LucasGame and Red Sweater Studios are here with some very exciting news. This December, we will be releasing a new space-based survival horror game: Genesis. Have you played the Steam demo yet? (If you have, go to letter B. If you haven't, go to letter A.)

Download the free demo HERE
(Go to letter B.)

The premise of Genesis (if you didn't feel like reading all of Andrea's big schpiel about the mission, or just don't like reading in general) is that Earth's surface has been mostly destroyed and is now uninhabitable. Therefore, the Aurora Corporation (which had been stationed in space for a while before the surface destruction) sent out thousands of scouting ships to investigate potentially habitable planets. One of these, the Aurora Corporation Ship (ACS) Echo, sent a partial transmission back to Earth, contacting a satellite only used to confirm an exoplanet candidate as habitable. Therefore, the Aurora Corporation made a decision to send the ACS Genesis, a colony ship with thousands of people in cryogenic sleep, out to investigate. You play as Andrea Winter, Captain of the ACS Genesis, as the crew slowly finds out that the transmission that the Echo sent out... was one of distress.

Genesis is currently built by a two man team, Luke Japaridze of LucasGame Studios and David Kubala of Red Sweater Studios. Luke is a seasoned Unity Developer who has been making games since 2013, he is also the developer of Corona MotorSport, a racing title currently on Steam Early Access. Dave is currently a VR developer and 3d Designer at BuenoBox Architecture and has exceptional command of 3d modeling. Together, we are both more than capable of bringing Genesis to life and onto Steam in December.

This will be updated as our campaign progresses.
How long have you been working on Genesis?
We have been working on the game since March and we cannot wait to release it come December.

Hi TwoPoundTorch,
Thanks for the feedback and wishes of luck :)
We realize that the trailer is a bit rough, but it was meant as a tech demo/prototype to showcase our vision for the game, I can assure you the quality of the animation and graphics will be far superior than what has been shown here. We also know that there are several space-themed games on Steam, but we believe ours is unique in terms of the storyline and shares no similarity with the 'Alien' franchise.

Good luck & all since you actually seem to be a dev & not a shovelware merchant / 12 year old subbmitting their 'hello world' project to greenlight. Two points, it's presented almost identically to afforementent crapware & second, alien isolation exists.

Hey Robert,

I'm sad to see it go too. But we look forward to further developing this and creating this game to be released on steam.

As Greenlight is now closed, I take this opportunity to wish you well in the further development of this game and as soon as it is released, I will buy it. Signing off: Robert Blane.

Game Development Championship Jun 5, 2017 @ 1:33am
The attitude you have and which is clearly visible in the descriptions provided in your description is good. Gives you character and makes you seem like something else than a faceless game developer.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at .

Good luck with the development!
