Endless Sky Ships and Parts Catalogue
By Drazhya
Started out as a pokedex of ships and parts that I filled out as I discovered them in-game, but I've since added everything I could find in the code. For ships it lists requirements (whether it requires a jump drive to reach, a mission completion and/or pillaging), name, class, faction, purchase cost, hull cost (cost without outfits), cargo, crew, bunks, fuel, empty mass, outfit capacity, weapon capacity, engine capacity, gun ports, turret mounts, hull points, shield points, fighter/drone capacity and cargo space per hull cost. Similarly detailed information on outfits, including weapons (tabs for different kinds of things are below the spreadsheet). Spoilers, of course, including for nightly builds that aren't on steam yet. It is a google doc, here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OEnPyEgWoayoWzlPgCr16jM4WBV8098UxCo3G18tCH8/edit?usp=sharing

Updates? Why upload this?
First question: will likely update fairly soon after things are added, as this is one of my favorite games and I've been monitoring it's progress lately.

For the second question, there have been other spreadsheets like this, but nothing that I've found entirely satisfactory for my purposes, and I decided if I was gonna fill it out anyway, I'd share.
Thoughts on ships
The highest (base) bunks ships are the Korath Raider at 250, Bactrian at 245, Kimek Spire at 197 Carrier at 184. None of these are late-game ships, and nothing else comes close. Worldships have more, but they're only vaguely obtainable at the moment. Bactrians have the most bunk potential of these four; with Coalition small engines and solar collector, all cargo converted to outfits and all outfits converted to bunks it can hold 465 dudes. With a Jump Drive, 461.

The Korath Raider is generally a disappointment. Korath have all this tier 2 tech, and their Raider almost competes with the Bactrian in some ways, but... no, not really.

For a combat freighter, the Tek Far 78 Osk is my favorite. 9 Boxwings plus base cargo capacity is 763 cargo space. Alternatively, I've got a Far Osk 27 build that has a meteor missile launcher and 45 cargo each, for an effective 448 cargo on the mothership. The Deep River is generally better though, with 1140 cargo.

Tek Far 109 is disappointing. I don't actually use drones or fighters in combat, but I like the idea of them. The Tek Far 109 is Kor Sestor and gets 9 drones and 7 fighters, but is almost as squishy as a Carrier!

The Remnant Starling has a built-in cloaking device; something that is otherwise extremely rare.

That Starling is one of my favorites. Cloaking and inherent shield/hull repair and plenty of agility make it a great ship to run around and do missions and explore. nice mention.
