How to change the Color of your Showcases [PATCHED]

This short guide allows you to change the color of the showcases which are being displayed on your profile to make them fit your theme more.

Introduction

This guide shows you how to change the color of the showcases which are being displayed on your profile. All you need to to change the color of the showcase is to download Enhanced Steam here[chrome.google.com]. It is an add on for your browser and is recommended for Google Chrome but you can download it for Firefox, Opera and Edge as well.

AND YES, OTHER PEOPLE CAN SEE IT!

Changing the Color

Once you have download Enhanced Steam, open Steam in your appropriate browser. Then go to your own profile and click edit profile like you would when you want to change your showcases. Scroll all the way down until you find something that looks like this which you have not seen before.



The custom theme offers a variety of different colors that you can use for your showcases. Once you chose a color, ALL your showcases will be changed to that color. You can only chose colors which are offered there and you cannot have different colors for different showcases. It will give you a preview of how the showcases will look. The top part of your profile´s color will also be changed as you can see below.



Some themes have a slightly different color for the top part of the profile and for the showcases, e.g. blue. Once, you chose a theme, click on save (save for the theme, not save at the very bottom) and it will ask you to log in again. You must do so, but do not worry, it is 100% safe.



After that, all your showcases will be displayed in the color you have chosen and will be visible to every Enhanced Steam user that visits your profile via their browser. However, it will still remain the same for users who do not have Enhanced Steam and for everyone that visits your profile on the Steam application.

Note: The Holiday Profile 2014 theme will also change the size of your showcases, so if you have aligned your background with your showcases like the artwork showcase, it will get messed up as displayed below. It is also the only theme that animates the showcases like little snow people popping up from the showcase and disappearing.

Pretty sure this interferes with animated mini profiles, which sucks since Enhanced steam is no longer a thing, and I cant reverse it (to my knowledge).

Augmented Steam is pretty much Enhanced steam but with a different ownership and name. That's all, DarkZin is correct =)

Enhanced steam is close but another came that was picked up from it renamed "Augmented Steam", why named like that i have no idea but it's the same, i know cuz i just did it, same thing and everything when following this guide, don't trust me? understandable i don't blame you, you do you, I'm just here saying this just in case anyone want to know where the new one is at
