Also considering half-way throug hthe OYW the MMP-80 rolled out and was able to pierce the luna titanium.

eh, that's true. Just because something is canon fodder for something else, doesn't make it worthless... Just look at the M4 Sherman, and Tiger Tanks.

Also the Gundam was made of an alloy that the standard issue Zaku rifle wasn't built to fight against.Considering even the EFF had to base their MS tech off the Zaku it goes to show the Zaku is strong enough to be imitated and improved upon

Then I suppose it's just circumstance that the community shares my opinion.

Also, might want to go with a different mobile suit. Zaku's became cannon fodder the minute the first Gundam hit the field.
