section 1 : the basics
rule # 1 of Fallout Shelter : make manual back ups of your save files so you do NOT lose your game if your game crashes & they get erased. They are located in %localappdata%. If you need help , go watch the tutorial video's on youTube.

note: many players think radscorpy's are over powered, when they are NOT if you plan ahead. If a player just rushes forwards willy nilly, yarp, Radscorps' are going to make that players vault get rekt.

2nd note: Thank you to EVRYONE on the reddits (etc) who allready put this info up. It helped me survive when i was learning the ropes. This is just me, rewritting in my own words, and from my own experience, that info.
-----------------------------

Radscorpion tips / how to reduce radscorpion spawn strength / plan ahead so radscorpion 's don't make your vault get rekt
(wrote it diferent ways, incase any other players actually use the search option) ːsteamhappyː
-----------------------------

Important tip for high damage weapons for use in Vault Defense :
If you do NOT have enough good weapons to go around (20+ dmg, but you can settle for 17-19 dmg if you have no 20+), then do not equip your best weapons to a single dweller.

Instead, leave those weapons in your vaults stash, and a soon as an attack happens, give those 'best' weapons to the dwellers in the room at the event. This is the fastest way to get the most firepower to the area.

Don't forget to put them back in the vault after, and give those dwellers a lower dmg weapon again.
-----------------------------

if the radscorpion spawns in a FULLY UPGRADED & a 3 WIDE MERGED ROOM; then it has ALOT of hit points (even more if the vault has a high rating with lots of high level dwellers).
A strategy known as 'Endurance Training' (see the reddits for info) is the BEST way to level your dwellers from level 1 to 50 so they have the MOST hit points ; doing this for dwellers in these rooms is a must if you want an easy time killing these radscorion 's.
-----------------------------

if a radscorpy spawns in that same vault, but in a 2 wide (or 3 wide) merged room, that has NOT been upgraded, ALOT LESS hit points. Same with 3 wide , no upgrades, but 2 wide is weaker & single room spawns are the weakest.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909463421 this is a NON-optimized vault layout, but i was rushing and planned to remodel later. But it shows many 2 wide, and 3 wide rooms, that have NOT been upgraded. Radscorpion 's that spawn in thse rooms, then travel to a populated room are easier to kill.
-----------------------------

it's not rocket science, but alot of players seem to ignore this.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=907986850 these 2 dwellers had no trouble killing a radscorpy (the female is lvl 1 with a 10 dmg gun & this researcher is horrible) because it spawned in a low level room then traveled to this room.

If the radscorpy had spawned in this room 1st (it has been upgraded, but it is only a single Non merged room), i still would have made them run away.
-----------------------------

ps: tips : fully upgraded rooms (especially merged rooms), should allways have 6 very well armed (20+ dmg weapons, 17-18 if you dont have 20+) dwellers in them. Endurance Training for hit points is a 'must have'.
Never leave these upgraded merged rooms empty. If you do ; then your asking for a hard time when 'strong' radscorpy's spawn

PPS: yell (message me) if u need more tips &/or screeenshots.
Or if you want to correct me, or add your own important tip to this guide.

I doesn't really matter since they go where ever the fuck they want. I have maxed out vault and one of those fucks popped up in my reactor where every one was maxed and still lived

@ kababsoup : it used to be that the strength of an internal vault event depended on the size & level of the room that it happened in. So when a radscorpian changes rooms its new total hp is based on the new room it is now fighting in. So having more small lvl 1 rooms can be helpfull to spread out on every floor as a lure to fight radscorpians in, especially if your vault dwellers aren't uber yet.

Just to clarify, is the radscorpion's HP decided on first spawn or does it fluctuate as it teleports between rooms of different sizes and tiers? The fact that they full heal between rooms is really total BS. I can't believe that is an intended feature.. that must be a bug! (a big radioactive one...)

Fair enough to move not the dwellers, but the weapon it self. But still my ass burns on fire, because if mole rats can be hold in one room, so you can call back up there, so it's easyer and faster to kill them, before they will spread evenly around some rooms, BUT this mfking radscorpion in this mfking vault can't stay at one place, even if he spawns in room with dwellers. This is the only issue I have. :<

@ Penflare : thanks.
The radscorpy's HitPoints is based on the size & upgrade level of the room it is in, so yes; they also heal all damage when they move to a new room.

Very good information. The other issue is how fast they move from one room to another. They will start out in one room, then move to the next before I get a chance to assign the more powerful weapon. Do the hit points change as they move from room to room?

@ Miss Lowma <3 : not at all. What i said is dwellers in fully upgraded rooms that are 3 wide should have those 20+ wpns. But having dwellers with 17-19 rare wpns works well enough with some stimpacks.
