100% Achievement Guide

This guide will help you obtain all the achievements that are in this game. With the exception of "I'm Blue", this guide will NOT tell you how to solve the puzzles but it will give you an idea of what you need to do and what you need to have. Many of the achievements can't be missed but I'll include them anyway.

One important note: Make sure you save your game in a unused slot before you enter the tower because once you go underground, there is no turning back. The achievements listed here are in order of “Can't miss” to “Easy to miss”, not the areas where they can be found.

First Phase

(Enter the Professor's Crystal Lab)
Can't miss

All you have to do to earn this achievement is to enter the Crystal Lab. The puzzle is outside the lab. Find the handle to turn the puzzle horizontal, maneuver the lead brick to upper right corner of the puzzle, turn the puzzle back to vertical, and push the lead brick into the wood box.

Shipwrecked

(Survive the boat ride)
Can't miss

As far as I know, you can't die when you take the boat to a different part of the island. Solve the skull puzzle to obtain the key, then you simply plug the key into the boat, wind it a couple of times, and enjoy the ride.

...and don't forget to water the plants!

(Revive the plants in the Gardens)
Can't miss

Find the scroll in the Alchemy Lab that shows you the ingredients to use in making the plants in the garden healthy. Use the red crystal to start a fire under the pot and pour in the ingredients. Everything you need is right there. When it's done, pump the mixture into the vase and take it to the garden. Pour the mixture into the receptacle pictured below and open the valve.

Friend or Foe?

(Meet Gamana for the first time)
Can't miss

Gamana will appear after you solve the gate puzzle and take the battery from the pressure pad in the cave. In order to do that, you must solve the puzzle that will open the stone door, that's the easy part. All of the clues are there in the cave. Once that's done, you need to go to the telescope and insert the red crystal to burn up that banner that hangs above the pathway to the Main Square. This will reveal the pattern that you'll need to solve the puzzle that opens the gate. Remember that everything is upside down for the gate. Once the gate is open, you need to place and item of equal weight on the pressure pad. That's where the bucket comes into play. The scale is below the telescope.

White is the New Orange

(Create a purified energy crystal)
Can't miss

This machine is in the mines. Find the key with the crystal teeth (it's in a observatory), align them properly, insert your orange torch, and solve the puzzle three times. When done properly, you'll get a white torch and the achievement.

Too Lazy to Climb

(Get access to the tower in the Main Square)
Can't miss

Find the three three keys to bring the tower to ground level. One key is the Observatory (in a locked box), one is encased in a clear crystal, and the other is in the bottom floor of the Crystal Lab. As soon as the tower is on ground level, the achievement should pop up.

Good Audience

(Listen to the story of the Seekers)
Hard to Miss

Towards the end of the game, Gamana will tell you the story about the Seekers. All you have to do is stay put and listen. It takes about 5 minutes so be patient.

Deeper Underground

(Going deeper underground)
Can't miss

After you open the vault, take the piece you acquired and go back to the place where the left tunnel and right tunnel converge. Put the piece in place and the platform you're standing on will descend to the next level. A doorway will appear and all you have to do is descend the stairs.

Hard to miss

Technically, this is an achievement that you could miss but it's not likely. If you want to get this achievement quickly, when you receive the notebook, press “P” 19 times.

Taste Them All

(Taste all the berry juices)
Possible to miss

When you revive the plants in the Garden, there are two berry bushes growing there (Red and Yellow). Also, there is a cabinet with a symbol that resembles a doughnut with a piece cut out of it. When you find the battery for the door, there are four more berry bushes inside the cabinet. All you have to do is take some berries from one of the bushes to the juicing machine in the same area, put the glass goblet below, squeeze the berry into the goblet and enjoy the drink. You have to do this six time, one for each berry.

The Follower

(Follow the Professor's guidance)
Possible to miss

Save before you do this. This is the last puzzle. If you place the green crystal on the cart, you will obtain this achievement.

The Sacrifice

(Follow Gamana's Guidance)
Possible to miss

Save before you do this. This is the last puzzle. If you place the red crystal on the cart, you will obtain this achievement.

William Says

(Solve the melody repeat puzzle on your first try)
Easy to miss

In my opinion, this is the hardest achievement in the game. Get a pencil and some paper and get ready because this puzzle goes fairly quick. Repeat the pattern three times without making a mistake, much like the electronic game, SIMON. I'd save before you try it.

All Things in Place

(Return the professor's most precious item to its place)
Very easy to miss

This achievement is easy to do but easy to miss as well. This is one of the last puzzles in the game. Take the left over vase from the music puzzle outside the door to the Garden and place it on the small area under the lamp in the Library.

Find What is Hidden I

(Find a secret near the Watchtower)
Very easy to miss

Go to the place where all of the batteries are that control the doors and take them all out. Hold the Blue torch by clicking on it in your inventory. Then go to the Watchtower and look for the symbol that you saw at the beginning of the game.

Find What is Hidden II

(Find a secret near the Mines)
Very easy to miss

Go to the place where all of the batteries are that control the doors and take them all out. Hold the Blue torch by clicking on it in your inventory. Then go to the mines (the side with the wooden door) and look for the symbol that you saw at the beginning of the game. The wooden door needs to be open when you do this.

Find What is Hidden III

(Find a secret on the Underwater Corridor)
Very easy to miss

When you get to the Underwater Corridor do not press the button that opens the door between sections A and B, instead, turn the valves in the right direction and transport yourself to room B (Make sure you are holding the Blue Torch) The symbol will be on one the gates in that room.

I'm Blue

(Open the lower part of the Crystal Lab without using blue light)
Extremely easy to miss

You WILL miss in your first playthrough unless you cheat and look up the answer before you start, but where is the fun in that? However, It's easy to do when you know the answer. As soon as you enter the lab for the first time, find this keypad and push these keys in this order.

Final Thoughts

This is my first in depth guide and I hope this helps you obtain the achievements that you may have missed. I thought about uploading videos that shows the player how to solve and acquire some of the achievements but I didn't want to give away to much information, so I decided on hints, not solutions. For me, the fun lies in being able to solve the puzzles by myself but sometimes I just need a hint.

Just wanted to add that "William says" is a piece of cake once you master your in-game notebook.
1. Just take a notebook picture(press "P") every time a new light shows and you got your own picture tutorial in your notebook.
2. Press N and flip back to the first page.
3. Follow what you've captured by switching between the notebook and pressing the buttons.
No memorization needed!

Just to add to the conversation. For the I'm blue achievement, there are 25x24x23x22x21 = 6375600 options... So, guessing the code is almost out the window.

I'd say the Good Audience achievement is impossible to miss on your first playthrough. After that, you can load a previously saved game right that comes right after it. I've done it before. I wasn't always in the mod to listen to Gamana's story.

Well, if it ever was true, it's not anymore as of today. I tried multiple things: removing the yellow crystal from the telescope, moving the telescope away, doing both, ... no luck, the achievement did not trigger. I got it only when I did not put the crystal at all in the telescope.

I can't test it either. I always wondered if it were possible.

According to the devs the I'm Blue achievement can be gotten without knowing the answer in advance by going to the telescope and turning off the light before entering the code. Unfortunately, I can't test that as I had already gotten the achievement by save-scumming but theoretically, according to them it should work.

@A11ister: For "I'm Blue" without being given the answer outside of the game you'd need to guess which of the 53,130 combinations is correct or play again/load a prior save after you figure out the answer. I wouldn't consider either or those to be cheating and playing again/loading a prior save is the only way to get both "The Folower" and "The Sacrifice".
