Disclaimers
Before you proceed with reading this guide, take note of the following disclaimers:
  • Most of the writing is subjective to the authors and not to be taken literally.
  • This guide is based heavily on Thucydides payday series timeline text file found here[pastebin.com]. As such, most of the earlier sections of the guide (up until the end of PDTH) are based on his writing.
  • Because most of the outline of the original piece was followed, though not our preference, we left in the timeline pieces of DLC additions etc.
  • Feel free to correct us on anything that we may have interpreted wrongly, though if not significant we may not change the entries.
  • We have chosen not to follow the in-game Story Line feature because we believe the heists take place in chronological order based on their release. Story line breaks this rule by grouping up all heists by one contractor together.
  • Classic heists have been excluded from the Payday 2 sections because we feel that it would be unrealistic that they robbed the same place twice without any explanations.
  • Heat Street and Green Bridge are exempt to this because the Search for Kento[www.searchforkento.com] has written the heists into the Payday 2 canon.
  • However, Panic Room and The Diamond have not been written into this guide because their explanations are limited to their respective promo comics only and is otherwise not mentioned in the heist at all.
  • In the case of large updates (e.g Crimefest, Spring Break etc), updates to this guide will be posted after the events end so we can wrap our head around the story.

And I think this final one goes without saying: be prepared for spoilers.
Background and Lore
The Payday Series takes place in an exaggerated universe not unlike our own, in the United States of America. The US government and its federal and state subdivisions are noted for their extreme corruption, who seek simply to attain as much power and money as possible, the government is structured to serve the clandestine interests of several corporations whom they fund and are funded by them, where several thousand dollars can get you pretty much anything. As a result of this corruption, there is an extreme divide between the rich and the poor because of the greed of the corrupt, heightened taxes, extortion and other illicit extracurriculars take a heavy toll on the average citizen. Sometime during the summer of 2011, an otherwise unheard of career criminal, eventually becomes fed up with the state of America and decides to wage war against the government by taking from them what they love most - money. He takes up the mantle of "Bain", and using his extensive contacts in both the government and criminal underworld, launches Crime.Net, a safe haven and forum for all organized criminals. Afterwards, he scans the criminal world for a professional team to re-allocate some of the world's wealth, and thus, the Payday Gang was born.

Pre-Payday: The Heist
Sometime before August, 2011: Bain begins to reach out to the crew members. His first pick is Nathan Steele, a former Chicago mobster with some background in medicine, gun smuggling, and occasional bank robber who showed incredible intellect and manipulative skill in turning two mob families against each other and surviving the fallout. Bain contacts Steele, who is currently residing in the city of Dallas, to gather three other promising individuals and to create a team of individuals ready to do whatever it takes to steal from the rich. Steele learns of three candidates that fill the needs of the crew rather well:
  • "Wolf", the crazed former CEO of a major software development and defense firm that recently went bankrupt due to competition with the up and coming private security company GenSec.
  • "Hoxton", a bank robber with a criminal record notorious for his shrewd calmness under pressure and his legendary aim.
  • "Chains", a former Navy SEAL turned soldier of fortune who has gained a reputation as a highly efficient soldier, if not an ill-tempered one.

August 7, 2011: Steele asks Bain to reach out to the three criminals and arrange a meeting. The next day, the four would be bank robbers hook up at a bar. After sharing a few drinks and getting to know each other, Steele reveals Bain's plan to wage war against the corrupted government and get bloody rich in the process. After interviewing each other thoroughly, the four swear allegiance to each other and the cause, and the Payday Gang is born.

Using Bain to cover their tracks and keep evidence out of the hands of the law, the four men embark on the most epic spree of robberies and heists the world has ever seen. The crew design masks to protect their identities and take up their mantles: "Dallas" after the city that became his home after leaving Chicago when the mob chased him out, "Wolf" for his fierce attitude, capacity for violence, and strong survival instinct, "Hoxton" after the place he was first arrested, "Chains" after the hardened life he endured in the Navy SEALs.

The crew also select their specialties. Dallas arms himself heavily as the Assault, Chains wields more special-purpose weaponry as the Support, Hoxton uses precision weaponry and defensive equipment as the Sharpshooter, and Wolf endows himself with as many gadgets and prototypes as possible as the Technician.

Early-mid October, 2011: Bain assembles the crew.
Payday: The Heist
October 21, 2011-July 25, 2012: The first six heists put the Payday Gang on the map, their sprees spanning numerous locations throughout the United States.

1. First World Bank: To start off their spree, The Payday Gang commits to making an impression on the public - the crew hit Manhattan's prestigious First World Bank in a cash heist. The four Payday Gang members storm the front lobby and strong-arms the keycard off the manager. With a little help from an insider, their soon to be signature heist equipment - an imposing thermal drill and some bricks of thermite have been stashed for them inside a server room. The gang makes sure to wipe their tracks inside the server room and the bank by wiping the camera footage. After drilling the front security gate, the crew use the thermite to melt their way through the ceiling of the vault. Securing the cash, the Payday gang fight their way through the bank and into a connected office building by blowing a hole through the wall with C4. The crew makes their way into an alley where they escape into civilian traffic in an inconspicuous garbage truck.

2. Embassy heist, double cross, and Heat Street: The gang commit an unexpectedly easy heist at the French embassy in Manhattan, stealing a priceless set of printing plates. During their escape, the crew's driver, Matt, betrays them and locks them in the building before driving away in the van. The crew chase him through the streets on foot before finding him crashed in an industrial parking lot. The crew set the van on fire to force him out only to discover that he has handcuffed the briefcase containing the plates to his wrist. Without the tools to remove the briefcase, the crew escort Matt to the top of a hill where they are extracted by a helicopter piloted by a new associate named Alex.

3. Panic Room: The crew set up a phony drug deal with a gang in the Bronx, who have set up a panic room in a gang-owned apartment complex filled with cash and cocaine. After gaining access to the upper floors and opening the room containing the panic room. The crew saw the panic room off of the floor and blow multiple holes in the building to allow Alex, their loyal but incompetent pilot, to carry it away with a magnetic winch. The crew escape through the sewers, and Bain laments the short supply of competent pilots.

4. Green Bridge: The crew is hired by a Chinese businessman to free his son who has been convicted of grand theft auto while on vacation and is scheduled to be moved to prison on a transport convoy. The crew rig the Varrazano-Narrows Bridge with explosives, and trigger them after using a diversion to create a gap in the traffic and stop all of the vehicles. As planned, the explosion doesn't kill any civilians, but an oil tanker is damaged, creating a larger explosion and drawing more attention to the scene. The crew saw open the trucks, locate the prisoner (codenamed 'Giant') and bring him to the top of a scaffolded construction site. The crew's biplane pilot, James, uses a skyhook to carry off the prisoner in a secure chair, and the crew fight their way down the bridge and dive into the murky waters below with their handily stashed scuba gear.

5. Diamond Heist: The crew stealthily infiltrate the Garnet Group headquarters in Times Square, intending to rob its vault of $20 million in rare gems. The crew successfully deactivate all three alarm boxes, but the alarm is still set off when it is revealed that the codes the crew bought from the Garnet Group's CFO, Mr. Petrusic, were fake. The crew scrambles to find the CFO, who is dancing at a birthday party being held for Mr. Garnet's son, Ralph. Even when held at gunpoint in a helicopter piloted by Bain, the CFO refuses to relinquish the codes. Mr. Garnet is also uncooperative, caring little for the CFO's life. With millions of dollars invested in the heist, the crew have no other options, and are forced to kill the CFO to allow the heist to be a success. Bain drops the CFO through the glass dome, but positions him over the chandelier to allow him a chance for his fall to be broken. The CFO is knocked out from the fall, but appears dead on the security cameras. Mr. Garnet, seeing this, caves in and personally gives the crew the correct codes. The crew reach the vault and easily clean it out, but Hoxton, mesmerized by a huge red diamond in a pressure-sensitive room, opens the door to retrieve it. The cops are sent into overdrive to protect the giant diamond, and the crew use their glass cutter to reach the diamond. The crew force Bain to circle around seven times because of the cops' assault before they can escape.

6. Slaughterhouse: The crew commit one last heist before taking a break to recoup. Bain learns of a GenSec transport guarded by Murkywater mercenaries moving through Staten Island's slaughterhouse district. The transport is carrying sixteen gold bullions, and the crew refuse to let such a valuable payload get past them. The crew trap the convoy in place with a pair of garbage trucks, and use a front loader to push the armored car through the roof of a slaughterhouse. The crew drill it open, extract the gold, and place it in a shipping container in the back of the building. The crew block the view of police helicopters with an improvised smokescreen and hide an incendiary trap to stop police from following them during their escape. Using a remote-controlled crane to move the gold and the trap, the crew escapes through a tunnel of shipping containers, setting them on fire behind them. The crew jumps in the back of a truck and leaves the scene.

July 26, 2012:
7. No Mercy:
A shady third party has requested the crew to retrieve the blood samples of a virus from a patient on quarantine from Mercy Hospital. Something about the contract has the crew and Bain feeling uneasy about the job, but the buyer has promised a handsome reward and to Bain a personal token of appreciation. The crew make their way into the quarantine ward and find that the patients are noticeably suffering from some sort of viral infection unlike anything ever seen before. As the shutters in the quarantine zone are disabled, the alarm goes off and the crew prepares to fight off the incoming police assault. With the blood samples in hand, Bain summons the elevator for the crew to escape from the increasingly heavy resistance from the police. The brief moment of respite in the elevator is interrupted by an earth-shattering explosion on the roof of the hospital as a private military contractor begins a bombing run on the building. The elevator is sent tumbling down to the basement as the cables snap. Miraculously, the crew survive the fall and continue their escape through the morgue to the ambulance bay where they hijack their escape. Bain promises to cut ties with the client once payment is received and crosses his fingers that this job will not have any future repercussions.

Payday: The Heist (Section II)
August, 2012: Wolf has a conversation with Bain, where he reveals that he has hacked into GenSec's databases and uncovered vital information regarding their operations and interests, leading to two high-stakes heists.

August 2nd, 2012:
8. Counterfeit: The crew fly down to Miami, Florida, where two men, Mitchell and Wilson, have been printing counterfeit money for personal gain in their secret bunker. Posing as Bodhi's Pool Repair, a pool repair service, the Payday Gang infiltrates their houses during a barbeque, hack their security boxes, and storm the bunker. The crew is tantalized by the large amounts of cash, but the bunker is rigged with C4 and the pool explodes and destroys the printing press with it. The crew drills a hole in the counterfeiter’s safe intending to steal the printing plates and fill it with water before exploding it to prevent damage. The crew escapes once again through the sewers to a nearby beach. During the heist, Dallas notices numerous odd symbols and patterns in the pair's houses, and tells Bain to note them down. The gang also records a mysterious static coming the radios.

August 7th, 2012:
9. Undercover:
Bain informs the crew that Eugene Sturr, an IRS agent, will be using $25 million in taxpayer cash to perform a deal with a large corporation in downtown Washington, D.C. He is also carrying a server containing said funds and vital information. However, he is set up, and the crew's snatch-and-grab turns into a battle. Alex uses a crane to pick up the Taxman's limo, but drops it on the balcony, Bain calls himself an idiot for hiring Alex again. Wolf and Dallas interrogate Sturr, who eventually cracks and gives them the credentials needed to access the server. The crew performs the $25 million transfer and escape.

December 13, 2012: The crew pieces together the various clues they have encountered throughout their previous heists and return to First World Bank, where they trigger the opening of the Overvault and steal $70 million in Mayan gold from "Mr. Trust", a major financer of the government, crippling the police forces' numbers for a while. Bain sells the gold to Colombian drug lord Hector Morales who agrees to help finance their new operations in Washington D.C.

December 22, 2012: Crime.Net goes black - Bain and the crew go into hiding.
Post-Payday: The Heist, Pre-Payday 2
Some time between December 2012- August 2013: Hoxton is arrested by the FBI due to incriminating evidence left behind from the previous heists and sent to USP Hazelton. Dallas' younger brother, takes up the mantle of Hoxton.

Matt Roscoe, the crew’s escape driver during the Embassy Heist and their eventual traitor is also apprehended and put together in the same cell as Hoxton. He spends what time they share together beating the living daylight out of Matt.

June, 2013: The gang gets back together in Washington, D.C. Dallas, Chains, Wolf and the replacement for Hoxton - Dallas’ brother, coordinate together with Bain for a starting hit in the capital city. Their first target is the D.C. branch of First World Bank, where Dallas has procured a role posing as an insider for months. Bain puts the new Hoxton in charge while Dallas works from the inside and together with Wolf and Chains they storm the bank. Everything goes smoothly until the gang are ambushed by SWAT responding faster than they had counted on. The gang improvises and escapes through the sewer system, but their escape has been compromised by a Russian mobster and his goons, who introduces himself as Vlad - a new player on Crime.Net, and he's interested in contracting some work from the notorious Payday gang.

Bain works towards making sure the gang get off to a smooth start in D.C., pulling all the strings possible to make sure nothing goes wrong. In return for Hector’s role in relocating the crew, Bain offers the Morales cartel the assistance of the Hollywood movie producer Lucas and his muscle The Haitian, who help transport his drugs and money across the border as movie props. A promising new candidate to Crime.Net wishes to rise up the ranks in the political playing field, Bain is willing to help.. In exchange for tying up a loose end. Together with Gage, he tasks The Elephant to set up and eliminate The Lobbyist - a contact who betrayed Bain for a mysterious person simply known as Don Elias. Bain also hires Greta, an assassin to tie up other loose ends.

Meanwhile, the gang’s presence in D.C. has made waves and a case file against them is building up on the desk of Special Agent Griffin. However, unbeknowst to her, her partner Agent Riker is working under her nose with Vlad and has been undermining her case.

Payday 2 (Year 1) Part I
Some time before August, 2013: The Basics: Bain contacts Dallas - it’s time to return from hiatus. Bain reacquaints Dallas with the skills necessary for performing heists, he sends him on a mission to retrieve the MPD’s information on Crime.Net and delete it quietly, then on another to retrieve cocaine for an unknown associate.

August 13-September 12, 2013: Bain buys some property to serve as a safehouse for the crew, a laundromat in downtown D.C. aptly named Bodhi’s Dry Cleaning as a front. The crew comes out of hiding and begins a spree of major and minor heists in and around Washington, D.C. Dallas and Chains agree to switch places, Dallas becoming the Mastermind, a supportive role, and Chains becoming the Enforcer, a more direct approach. Wolf remains in his role as the Technician. In lieu of the now incarcerated Hoxton's marksmanship, Dallas' younger brother makes up for this with his speciality in stealth from his time in black ops teams.

1. Jewelry Store: The crew raid a small neighborhood jewelry store to warm up their heisting muscles, and the new Hoxton demonstrates the effectiveness of his ECM Jammers, preventing any outbound calls for help and maintaining their cover.

2. Harvest & Trustee Bank: The crew hits a series of Harvest & Trustee branch banks. Wolf begins a long, committed, and complex relationship with the thermal drill, while everyone else wishes Bain would quit yapping in their ears. Dallas also demonstrates a new technique that intimidates civilians using only weapon discharges, which makes Hoxton's job easier but disappoints Wolf, as he was looking forward to kneecapping the tellers.

Bain receives a few contracts from Vladimir Kozak, a former head of the Russian mob who has recently been released from prison and wishes to regain his position in the criminal underworld. He contracts the Payday Gang to help him remind his constituents of who’s in charge.

3. Four Stores: Vlad hires the crew to steal $15,000 from four stores he used to own, who have began working with rival Russian mobs during his absence. The crew scoff at the easy gig, and don't take the planning very seriously. They are taken aback when it turns out that Vlad did not mention the level of security these stores possessed but complete the job smoothly anyway.

4. Mallcrasher: Vlad has the crew revitalize his protection racket by roughing up Mr. Stone's SHIELD Mall. The gang destroys various glass displays and items including clothes, fine ceramics, a sports car, designer bags, gym equipment, computer accessories and vintage wines. They crack open the safes of the stores to find a nice stash of money and steal that along with a few bags of jewelry.

5. Nightclub: Vlad begins the first half of his revenge crusade against his former friend Dimitri, who snitched to the feds and landed him in jail for eight years. The crew steal cash and cocaine from the Tasteful nightclub, which Vlad formerly owned. The crew escapes, abducting the nightclub DJ as per Wolf’s idea.

6. Ukrainian Job: Vlad informs the crew that Dimitri will soon be married, and has the crew steal the expensive tiara he bought for his bride to be. The job is laughably easy - Wolf simply jumps through the window and blows up every safe he can find.

Hector Morales cashes in the favor owed by the gang for his help in relocating them to D.C. Hector sets up various heists for the crew, during which he wants his rivalling cartel - the Mendozas to be eliminated.

7. Watchdogs: Hector has the crew guard a shipment of cocaine in the back of a meat truck. The simple escort mission goes horribly wrong as the crew is ambushed by police. They are chased into a construction site where their driver flees the scene, and they fend off an assault before being extracted by an armored car. The armored car drives them to the harbor to offload the cocaine with Hector's boat driver. Unfortunately, the car had been sloppy and the police have tailed the crew. The gang holds out while waiting for their boat driver to offload their cocaine before being airlifted out by Bile.

8. Firestarter: Hector seeks to devastate the Mendoza cartel as much as possible. He has the crew steal several AKMs from their private hangar. Afterwards, he sends the crew to the FBI branch office, where they steal a server with the location of the Mendozas' private bank, along with the contents of the FBI evidence room containing various confiscated contraband which strangely enough includes a goat. The crew infiltrate the bank, disable the electric precaution, and burn over a hundred million dollars on tape as per Hector’s request. The crew finds his request for the deed to be recorded suspicious but Bain puts their paranoia to ease.

9. Rats: Hector learns that the Mendoza lieutenants are fleeing the country, and wants them dead. He has brokered a deal with a local gang - the Cobras to trade meth in exchange for information on the whereabouts of the Mendoza leadership. The Payday gang is to oversee the deal and make sure nothing goes wrong. Arriving at to pick up the cooks, the crew finds that the Mendozas are attacking the meth lab in the woods. With the cooks dead, the crew improvises cooking meth, apprehensive to show up to the deal organized by Hector empty-handed. The gang’s patience in Bain is tested as he fumbles his meth cooking instructions multiple times. Later that night, the crew meets with the Cobras to trade the meth for intel on the Mendozas before being double crossed for their payment. The crew fights back and locates where their payment was stashed and steals back their hard earned meth. The crew intercepts the Mendoza bus on a bridge, where they find they are being escorted out of the city by FBI agents and wipe them out before retrieving the cash they had on-board. Hector thanks the Payday Gang for a job well done and mysteriously goes dark from Crime.Net.

Congressman John Henry Simmons (aka The Elephant), a Republican politician reaches out to Bain, seeking to rise up the ranks in the political playing field. Bain is happy to oblige, as the man pays very handsomely for the contracts as well as looking forward to the benefits of earning a political contact.

10. Big Oil: The Elephant hires the Payday Gang to steal a prototype fusion engine developed by a Dr. Rossy. The gang steal intel on Rossy's location from the Overkill M.C. before assaulting his villa in the mountains. Bain chides himself for hiring Alex again, who drops most of the crew’s auxiliary ammo supply in inaccessible locations. With almost no information provided to them, the crew collect clues from around the mansion to identify the correct engine to send to Bain. The crew correctly identifies the cold fusion engine but keeps a non-functional replica as a keepsake.
Payday 2 (Year 1) Part II
11. Framing Frame: The Elephant hires the crew to frame his rival, Senator Burico, by planting cocaine in his mansion. The crew steal a set of paintings from various Singaporean artists from the local art gallery the senator was interested in. The crew plants cameras in them and sells them back to the senator’s contacts discreetly. While infiltrating Burico's apartment, Bain peruses Burico's files and discovers that the senator is in fact guilty of many crimes, including weapons and drug trafficking, and has been paid in gold by a rogue state for a recent weapons sale. The crew plant the cocaine, steal the senator's gold, and Bain leaks the evidence to the press to add some extra wham. The Elephant is pleased by the job well done and the lengths the crew has reached to in order to frame the rivaling senator. Perhaps more work for the senator is in their future...

September 13, 2013: A new jewelry store - Gioelli Famiglia, has recently opened up in Washington, Bain has his eyes on the store possessing a wider selection of jewels than the first hit the gang performed together. Bain hires Illja, a sniper with a seemingly endless supply of ammo to provide overwatch for the crew.

12. Diamond Store: The crew executes their hit on Gioelli Famiglia, stealing various jewels and even emptying the well-fed ATMs and safes from the surrounding area. Bain is taken aback by the new titanium safes located in these stores but think nothing of it - the crew can always brute force drill the safes.

October 31, 2013: Safehouse Nightmare: The move to the safehouse in D.C. has left Wolf uneasy. He has nightmares imagining a swarm of cloakers and headless Bulldozers setting the safehouse on fire. A chant is stuck in his head - “All work and no play makes Wolf a dull boy”. Dallas prescribes Wolf with some muscle relaxants to keep him calm.

November 14-20, 2013: Codename: Armored Transport commences. Gage sends the crew some old animal masks and guns straight from 60's action movies, and the crew take down five GenSec convoys before stealing a high-tech prototype turret on route to the Pentagon.

13. Transport Heists: The crew gets information about various convoys of Gensec’s armored transports driving through various parts of D.C. The plan is simple, stop the trucks, steal everything in them and make a getaway. Quick and easy, or so they thought. While pilfering the contents of the armored transports, the gang finds some intel that Bain may find interesting...

14. Train Heist: The crew intercepts a train headed towards the Pentagon loaded with a prototype infantry turret. SWAT arrives on the scene and the gang battles through hordes of police while carefully carrying the delicate ammunition required to feed the turret down a dangerous ravine to a boat by the river. The gang wishes Bain would not send them on heists involving explosive loot.

December 5, 2013: Gage releases his first standalone shipment of weapons to the Payday Gang, including a heavy-caliber assault rifle, a classic pistol, and an SMG. However, he fails to give the crew matching tactical vests, and as a result the gang can barely hold more than eighty rounds with any of the guns. Bain gets another associate to provide proper heist attire and Gage sticks to giving the crew guns.

December 16, 2013:
15. GO Bank: Tired of hitting up the Harvest & Trustee banks, Bain locates Roberts Bank on the outskirts of D.C for the gang to muscle in on. Armed with their new gear from Gage, the gang proceeds to navigate a series of endless civilian traffic, laser tripwires and inane phone calls. Gensec dispatches two guards to investigate after the suspicious radio silence from Roberts Bank, the crew expertly dispatches the guards. However, they are forced to leave when more trouble arise: a man calls to blackmail the gang, who reluctantly puts away a bag of cash for him and the MPD threatens to send the police to check on the bank.

December 19, 2013: James Hoxworth consults his lawyer while in prison, who informs him that there is no way for him to be released due to the insurmountable evidence against him. With the help of some other inmates, Old Hoxton creates a Christmas album and sends it to the crew, hoping Bain will find the message he left for him.
Payday 2 (Year 2) Part I
January 22, 2014: The crew officially become infamous. To hide from the law for a bit, they burn all of their on-hand cash, sell their specialized equipment, and replace their traditional masks with pairs of HUD-enabled aviators. With prior experience of usage, they become more efficient with their specialized equipment once they reclaim it.

January 30, 2014: In response to the crew's rapidly increasing firepower and capabilities, the police reintroduce the Cloaker units. The crew prepares accordingly, arming themselves with Gage's second weapon shipment--a package of light machine guns and knives. Chains loses his ♥♥♥♥.

February 27, 2014: The Cloaker units proving not enough to stop the crew, the police work together with GenSec to create a next-gen response force specifically to combat the Payday Gang - Codename: Death Wish. GenSec deploys standardized Titan safes and cameras - titanium reinforced versions of the classic security devices that cannot be destroyed. GenSec also start putting Elite cops into the field, armed with special weaponry, as well as heavily armed and armored Bulldozers.

March 20, 2014: The Elephant once again seeks the aid of the crew, this time to put his friend Bob McKendrick in the office of Mayor of Washington, D.C. In return, McKendrick and The Elephant move Old Hoxton to a lower-security prison in preparation for his eventual breakout. Bain equips the crew with new stealth gear. Although this initially elates New Hoxton, he becomes disheartened when he finds that he just doesn't have the strength to carry infinite body bags, and Dallas is sad to see that the pager guy can now hear him screaming at guards. To compensate, Dallas also receives a special present from McKendrick and Gage - the Chimano Custom.

16. Election Day: The crew arrives at a shipping depot by the docks to locate a shipping container containing the voting machines soon to be used in the upcoming mayoral election. Tagging the truck with the voting machines, Bain directs the crew to a storage depot at Goose Island to rig the machines with fraud votes for Mayor Nancy Schwartz, hoping to disqualify her from the election campaigns.

April 10, 2014: With some free time on their hands for the upcoming month, Gage gives the crew the "Courier Assignment" - the Payday Gang are to collect packages all over D.C, containing high-end weapon modifications, and return them to Gage. In return, Gage donates hefty portions of the mods to the crew. Gage also upgrades the crew's weapon optics for free.

May 8, 2014: Gage sends his fourth hardware package to the crew - a shipment of high-caliber sniper rifles. If only Old Hoxton were there to enjoy the goods. Bain also makes arrangements to make vantage points available to the crew. Due to the poorly set-up locations, the crew hardly uses them and Bain feels equally disappointed. Illja however, is happy to continue doing what he does best.

May 29, 2014:
17. Shadow Raid: Through Bain, Gage sends the crew on a mission to break into a Murkywater compound and retrieve as many valuables as possible as revenge after he is screwed out of a deal with them. Due to the sensitive nature of the PMC industry, and to avoid suspicion of his involvement, no evidence of the crew's involvement must be present - therefore, alarms and cops are out of the question. No pressure, Hox. The crew steals various valuables including, private government servers, Swedish masterpieces, cocaine, gold, unmarked bills, artifacts, assault rifles and even.. The fabled armor of the legendary samurai Oda Nobunaga.

June 3, 2014: During a dentist appointment, Dallas is introduced to a shadowy figure who only refers to himself simply as "The Dentist". Originally posted by Bain:
“All right now, this is your safehouse, this is where you spend your time off-duty. It’s not much at the moment, but give it some time, I’m working on it. And I’ll let you do some decoration yourselves soon”.
He’s heard this message far too many times, frustrated, he lights up a cigarette and inhales deeply before discarding the cigarette on a nearby stack of combustibles. Hoxton makes a call to his butler, Aldstone who has grown tired of living alone in the London estate, eagerly rushes to the States to help the crew acquire a new swanky pad. Hoxton begins writing and sending out invitations to check out the new safehouse.

Payday 2 (Year 4) Part II
October 9, 2016: Agent Henry Carter from the Department of Homeland Surveillance makes a phone call to Commissioner Garrett. Mounting concerns about the Payday gang and the MPD’s inability to prevent the crimes perpetrated by them have pushed the DHS into intervening with the Commissioner’s operation in Washington. Agent Carter informs Garrett that the DHS will also be present in all future crime scenes involving the Payday gang - deploying Task Force Z (a.k.a Zeal Team), a specialized infantry squad trained specifically to combat the Payday gang. Later that night, Garrett unveils his next addition to the MPD - the Medic units, trained in first aid to limit the amount of casualties faced by the MPD in the field when encountering the Payday gang.

Meanwhile, Hoxton’s housewarming party begins and he shows the distinguished guests and crew members to the Payday gang’s new hideout. With the help of Aldstone, Hoxton throws a hell of a housewarming party. The crew receives several housewarming presents including: a set of masks based on mafioso legends, concussion grenades, a large safe containing shiny new weapon decals and a cylinder-fed shotgun. Bain uses Wick’s contacts in The Continental to help set them up with better furnishing, in exchange for Continental Coins which the crew will receive for all future jobs.

The crew members agree upon taking up roles while in the safehouse in order to make the most of their new setup and relationship. Sydney acquires a 3D printer, which she uses to create and design masks to conceal the crew’s identities. Chains runs the armory, where he makes sure the crew’s weapons are well-maintained and organized. Houston and Rust, with their interests in tinkering with vehicles operate the garage though the two have butted heads occasionally. Bonnie and Jimmy are in charge of the entertainment systems, Bonnie uses the opportunity to bring in a gambling setup for the recreation area. Jimmy however, appears to be unconscious either due to helping himself to copious amounts of cocaine, alcohol or a combination of both. Jiro refuses to do any work, as he feels Bain has been holding out on him for the past year regarding information on Kento. Instead he sets up a cozy little corner in the recreation area to enjoy some sake and the patronage of Yakuza initiates.

Dallas, Hoxton and Clover occupy the office on the top floor, which they use for sorting through intel and surveillance. Jacket redecorates the boiler room to serve as another recreation area, somehow fitting a sofa and arcade machine into the humid little corner of the basement where he mostly messes around with old tapes. Dragan offers his services to the crew as a personal trainer, running a gym and helping to maintain and improve their fitness. Bodhi maintains a wood shop in the basement, though so far he’s only used the room and materials for making surfboards. Sokol, reminiscent of his old career and Russia, sets up a mini hockey rink for the crew to enjoy. Wolf and John set up side by side, Wolf constantly tweaking the crew’s equipment and John overlooking a shooting range. The two will occasionally help each other by maintaining the obstacle course nearby, which John thinks is useful for keeping the crew’s wits sharp.

Some time after October 9, 2016: Safehouse Raid: The crew is alerted to a large police force headed towards the new safehouse. Bain confirms that the police is convinced that the house is a possible drug den and are unaware of who really owns the place. The Butcher takes this as a personal insult and contacts Bain to take care of business. While staking out the target location in Miami, the crew is approached by a Cuban man with an impressive impersonation of the former head of the Montana Cartel (though he insists he is not an impersonator). He deduces that the crew is planning on robbing Ernesto Sosa’s mansion, asserting that the gang has some balls. He boasts about being the rightful owner and offers the crew to help them rob the place, providing them security blueprints to the mansion in exchange. Bain accepts the blueprints as they are too valuable to pass up and welcomes their new muscle - Scarface.

40. Scarface Mansion: With the schematics acquired from their newest member, Bain has planned a thorough raid on the Sosa estate, beginning by exploiting the weakly guarded front entrance to the mansion with poorly placed cameras. The crew eliminates the exterior security but however face difficulty coaxing the paranoid Ernesto Sosa to open up his quarters. The Butcher suggest they destroy his valuables, starting by burning his precious art then dropping his expensive cars in the ocean. Bile gets creative, dropping the last car onto the mansion roof, granting the crew access into the main lobby, where the crew advances into Sosa’s office and assassinates him.

The crew chases down Matt’s van and taunts him into coming out by setting the van on fire. He pleads for his life, offering the gang information on where Jiro’s son is in exchange. Freeing multiple other prisoners at the same time, amidst the heavy downpour the cops are unable to identify the target and the gang takes advantage of the chaos. Kazuo is strapped to a chair and airlifted to a safe place by their pilot, the crew escapes with their scuba gear and dives off the bridge.

Jiro is disappointed to not have learned any information at all about the whereabouts of his son. However, through the information pieced together various interrogation sessions with Kazuo and Roscoe, he learns that Kento has joined up with the Yakuza. He remains hopeful that he will be reunited with his son soon.

May 4th, 2017: Gage contacts Bain with his mind set on letting in some more muscle for the Payday gang. A former enforcer and hitman for Mexican cartels throughout South America, Gage wishes to smuggle Sangres across the border which possesses skills he thinks the crew will find useful in future jobs. Bain chuckles at the banality of the plan and wishes Gage happy Cinco de Mayo, proceeding to make arrangements for Sangres to lay low at the safehouse.

June 12th, 2017: Vlad rewards the crew a crate of explosives in the shape of Russian nesting dolls for their continuous loyalty. He promises more work will follow in the future... Meanwhile Dallas, in a fit of narcissism creates a gold plated version of his mask, feeling like he has accomplished some sort of milestone.

August 17th, 2017: It has been four years since the Payday gang's arrival in D.C and in celebration of this momentous occasion, Chains is gifted his own golden plated version of his mask and he is proud to wear it into action. A mysterious supply crate of what appears to be World War II era military equipment arrives in the safehouse. Aldstone says it's a gift from some old friends, though the gang find it strange among the items is an aged portrait of Aldstone, he couldn't possibly be that old right? Bain begins arrangements for a construction crew to pave another room in the basement, what could he possibly be up to?

August 31st, 2017: It appears the mysterious package received by Aldstone and the construction work going on in the basement were related after all. Aldstone has quietly requested his own quarters in the basement, away from prying eyes of everyone else. A cozy, well furnished room has been provided for Aldstone, filled with an impressive library collection, restored World War II artifacts and some homely British knick knacks. In exchange for this courtesy, Aldstone reveals the military crate to contain several other WWII era guns for the crew to carry on the legacy of his past. Aldstone has also obtained a sewing machine, offering to help the crew stitch up their armors and provide more should the need arise. Meanwhile, a new World War II exhibit over at the McKendrick Museum is missing a few valuable items that were supposed to be displayed at the exhibition...

October 19th, 2017: After a long period of silence from Locke, he's contacted the Payday gang to oversee a weapons negotiation he has planned with The Butcher. The deal will go down up north in the cold nethers of Alaska, Dallas has the crew prepare their windbreakers and their guns for anything that may go wrong.

October 24th, 2017:
45. Alaskan Deal:
As the train rapidly approaches its destination, Locke gives the gang a call saying he has a surprise for them - he's sold them out. The police have been tipped off about the deal going on at the docks and have arrived ahead of them. Grabbing the weapons Locke has sent with them for the deal, the gang fight their way through the ambush in the cold. With the help of the Butcher's men who were also double crossed, the gang manages to refuel the ship she has sent and leaves the scene. Bain and the gang are troubled by Locke's betrayal but vow to hunt him down like they did their last traitor.

Payday 2 (Year 5) Part II
October 26th, 2017: The recent crime spree of an art thief over the past few months has caught the eyes of Bain. The man going by the moniker "August Lindenhurst" has left a fresh trail of stolen paintings, artifacts and various historical antiques throughout D.C - the territory of the Payday gang. Despite this intrusion on their domain, Bain has picked up on August's sterling execution of his own one-man robberies. His notable reputation as a person of wealth and taste, while moonlighting as a small time art thief makes him a valuable asset to the gang. Bain locates August's hideout and sends a fellow member of high society to convince him to join up - Aldstone. With information from sources that while moving to D.C, customs had flagged August's shipment as stolen goods, Aldstone helped relinquish the shipment from the officers as a favor to convince August to join the gang. With a clean slate in the new network he has found himself in, August adopts a new alias - "Duke".

October 28th, 2017: Still perplexed by Locke's betrayal, the gang has remained under the radar since their return from Alaska. The traitor had also disappeared and left behind no trace of ever being around Crime.Net. Bain however, had kept tabs on Locke's source of funding and has a plan to seize his assets to force him out of hiding. With information that Locke has been using Murkywater's connection with the Garnet Group to fund his private operations, Bain has something planned for the near future.

October 31th, 2017: Cursed Kill Room: Wolf has even more nightmares. This time he sees himself running endlessly around their training room, forced to open safes he can't drill and fighting a never ending horde of zombie policemen led by the Necrocloaker. Seven faces look at him from the dark everytime he finishes this never ending loop. He wakes up and tells the gang about his dream, Chains tells him to stop with the 24 hour Halloween marathons.

November 22nd, 2017: For reasons yet unknown and much to the chagrin of the gang, Bain has hired a pair of new faces to join up. Previously known for their video blogging days, the pair of Ethan and Hila stick out like a sore thumb among the group of hardened criminals. Bain justifies that with their talent in public relations and engagement, they may be useful to the gang in the future. With Bain constantly reminding the team that Hila has prior experience in the military, Chains however would be the judge of how useful the pair will turn out to be in a fight.

December 14th, 2017:
46. Reservoir Dogs:
Bain contacts the gang about a favor he needs doing. The Cabot crime family out of L.A. has asked for Bain's assistance hitting a Garnet Group boutique downtown - the perfect target after Locke's betrayal, a small quiet hit on a jewelry store that would also hurt Locke. The gang makes their way to L.A. to meet with the Cabot crew to plan out the hit. However, once the heist has gone underway they notice the store is light on security personnel and customers. One of the Cabots is dispatched by a sniper and all hell breaks loose - the location was staked out by LAPD expecting the heist to go down. The gang and Bain together with the help of what's left of the Cabots attempt to salvage the heist with heavy resistance from local police forces. While hacking into the boutique's security system, Bain encounters some interference but brushes it off. Using the liquid nitrogen they brought with them, the gang freezes the vault locks and breaks them open, stealing more diamonds than they had ever seen in their lifetimes and gunning it.

However, as they close in on their escape driver, Bain's comms gets interrupted. In his final moments, the gang hears Bain distraughtly directing them to contact Locke for assistance with their getaway, asking them to trust the man who had betrayed them recently. Gunshots and battering rams are heard in the background as Bain attempts to relay his final instructions to the Payday gang to go to Brooklyn before he is cut off entirely. Locke explains his betrayal in Alaska was merely a smokescreen for his true motives - he wanted to get the gang out of D.C. for their own protection. He elaborates that Bain had come across an extremely valuable artifact and had made some enemies while trying to locate it. He promises to explain more later, directing the crew to a warehouse to meet with the remaining members of the Cabots.

The Cabots are understandably angry of the scenario that just happened with only Mr. Blonde safely escaping the scene. With Mr. Brown dead and Mr. Pink wounded on the drive to the rendezvous point and Bain gone silent from the comms, tensions are high but Locke does his best to salvage the operation. Mr. Pink arrives on the scene and the gang escorts the wounded crew member to the warehouse. The Cabots interrogate an LAPD officer while the gang retrieves the diamonds from a nearby storage facility where they had been stashed. The Cabots are unsuccessful in extracting information from the officer about the sting and bid the Payday gang good luck as their escape arrives. Locke reassures the crew that the safehouse has not been compromised and has them return there to plan their next course of action.

December 21st, 2017:
47. Brooklyn Bank:

With the whiplash of Bain's recent mysterious disappearance still fresh in their minds, the gang are unsure of how to proceed. Locke is sure Murkywater had some involvement in Bain's disappearance as he is unable to use any of his connections to the organization and that his part in colluding with the gang too may have been compromised. The tip given to them at the end of their previous operation by Bain was not much to go on but Locke, with the help of their recent newcomer Duke, had some idea of where they were headed - The Brooklyn Bank. With his new role in overseeing the heist, Locke rises to the occasion. The crew makes a dramatic entrance smashing into the front of the bank, proceeding guns blazing as the alarms call in the heat. Breaking into the bank's depository, the gang is greeted by a vault full of gold, Locke reminds them the gold is not their primary objective. Locke directs them to blow up the floor, the explosion uncovers a secret box that was hidden underneath with a medallion inside. Back at the safehouse, Duke decides to analyze this mysterious medallion for more hints that could lead them to Bain or whatever artifact he was looking for. Meanwhile, Locke sends his apologies to The Butcher for his part in seemingly betraying her and her men in Alaska.

December 24th, 2017: A weapons crate arrives at the safehouse for the gang - a Christmas present from Gage. The crate contains a compact grenade launcher, an item from Gage which he hopes will aid in what they might go up against next.
Payday 2 (Year 6) Part I
March 29th, 2018: It's been months since the gang has heard so much as a peep about Bain's status. The bug planted for them on the police commissioner's computer has been helpful but has yet to reveal any information about Bain's whereabouts. Fortunately, despite The Elephant's arrest for his connections to underground crime and charges of corruption, he hasn't given them up. The gang feels remorse for not securing The Elephant's safety but Locke insists that him being captured may bring Bain out of the shadows.

Meanwhile, it has come to light that Jacket has found a tape that Bain left for them in case he was captured or killed. In the message, he hints that their heist in Vegas may have caught some eyes on them. He apologizes for not telling them about the Watchers and what he was up to when Duke was recruited, explaining that Duke's heritage is important to this mysterious artifact he's after - Baldwin's Lament. Bain gives the crew a choice: move on and go into hiding, or finish what he started.

April 23rd, 2018:
48. Breakin' Feds:
The gang once again infiltrates FBI HQ, Locke directs them to steal an item of interest the FBI have recently confiscated from The Elephant's office in light of his recent arrest. With the break-in of the offices four years ago by the Payday gang, additional security measures and personnel have been employed. Thankfully, the ever resourceful Locke had inside personnel assist with planting some materials. The gang narrowly avoids capture as Commissioner Garrett himself is present in the building as they attempt to steal the item. They stumble upon the item Locke mentioned, aghast that they've seen this very item before - the mysterious box from the Golden Grin Casino they stole a few years ago.

April 25th, 2018: Back at the safehouse, Duke calls a meeting with the members of the Payday gang. He reveals he was actually acquainted with Bain from a prior job in the 90's, long before the formation of the Payday gang and Crime.Net. As far back as thirty years ago, Bain was already going on about Baldwin's Lament. Duke elaborates that his grandfather started the search for Baldwin's Lament long before his time and he is just merely following in his footsteps, eager to complete his grandfather's legacy. He tells the crew more about the Kataru, the organization that captured Bain and are currently communicating with the FBI. They were supposedly formed long ago by three kings, forming a pact to rule the world together with the help of a magical artifact they possessed. The gang are unsure of how to feel about this development, they however remain optimistic that with Duke's more forthcoming information about the Kataru, their luck might just keep getting better.

April 27th, 2018: With a possible lead on where they might have to hit next, the gang receives a shipment of extra weapons from Gage to assist them with their upcoming endeavor. He personally pays the gang a visit during the deal to introduce them to a new piece of equipment - a prototype microgun he's acquired. Unknown to the crew, a curious snoop was just around the corner taking pictures for his conspiracy website...

April 29th, 2018:
49. Henry's Rock:
The crew are flown out once again to yet another top secret Murkywater storage facility at Henry's Rock. Locke explains he had to pull every string he could with his remaining Murkywater contacts to get the crew into this place so they had to make the effort worthwhile. The facility is a massive storage ground for all sorts of Murkywater assets ranging from prototype weaponry, chemical research and historical artifacts. The crew hit several areas of the facility where the mystery loot is stored, which turns out to be two more boxes like the one stolen from Garrett's office.

As they attempt to fight their way out to the helipad, a Murkywater soldier watches the gang through a bulletproof command room before walking away and shutting the room's viewing panel. Behind the mercenary, the gang spots what appears to be a video feed of a man being tortured by a famiiar silhouette. Jiro appears shaken by what he has seen behind the security room, but keeps his grief to himself. Without any time to spare and heavy resistance keeping the crew pinned, Locke sends their helicopter pilot to pick them up from the helipad. After their extraction, Locke sounds despondent, as if hitting another dead end with more unbreachable boxes in their possession. He tells to group to lay low once again and wait for his next plan.

July 19th, 2018: With much time to kill as a result of the gang's downtime, Wolf has spent some time in the basement of their safehouse experimenting with ways to improve on the flamethrower given to them by the Butcher a few years ago. While doing his research, he stumbles across the Modestly Awesome company's compact flamethrower and orders a set of them to base some new designs on. He finds the product much like the namesake of its brand implies however and decides to use these for future heists instead, for the meantime at least.

August 13th, 2018: After much deliberation on the significance of the Medallion of Perseids that Bain directed the group to find in his final moments, Duke finally pieces the puzzle together. Gathering the gang in the pantry, he demonstrates the function of the medallion to open the coffers somehow, revealing that they contain some type of relic used for astronomical purposes. However, one of the coffers they've stolen is empty, in its place is a hollowed out aperture in the shape of a hexagon. While the group contemplates the reasons why Bain was after these artifacts, Tony attempts to play a song that was stuck in his head on the piano after pacing his room for a while. The melody of the piano causes the artifacts to vibrate, the group notices this but cannot figure out the cause of the phenomenon.

Locke informs the gang that the Elephant bears no ill will to them for not preventing his arrest by the FBI. The senator tips them off that he's received an invitation to an underground auction in Salem for high society types with some items that may be of interest to the Payday gang - an auction featuring items from the doomed Shacklethorn expedition. Duke explains that this expedition was a story he's heard from his grandfather many times and may in fact have some connection to the item that Bain was after. Wasting no time to get the gang invitations to the auction, Locke inducts his protege he's been training on the side into the Payday gang - the young and eager Joy. In addition to securing them invitations to the auction, Joy's extensive skills in cybersecurity and hacking also provides the group with equipment they'll be needing for the mansion heist.

Payday 2 (Year 6) Part II
August 15th, 2018:
50. Shacklethorn Auction:
With an eerie fog rolling in and rainy atmosphere of New England, the backdrop of the Shacklethorn Estate gives the gang chills. But determined to solve the mystery once and for all, the gang approaches the mansion with ice in their veins. The mansion is an impressive testament to old American architecture of the elite, and its security detail and layout to modern private security. The gang is astonished with the quantity and quality of items on display and makes notes on which to steal, but Locke reminds them to focus on the task at hand. With the equipment provided by their new recruit, the gang makes quick work of the security network and with the keycard provided through soliciting the auctioneer, the gang enters a vault holding a mysterious hexagon shaped artifact. Unlike the other relics up for auction however, something about this one seems out of place. Before leaving, Duke takes a moment of silent regard to the mummified corpse on display.

August 17th, 2018: Upon returning to the safehouse, the gang attempts the experiment with the artifacts again by laying the complete set on the table and then playing some notes on Tony's piano. To the bewilderment of the gang, the hexagonal artifact stolen from the Shacklethorn auction turns on with a digital display showing some hieroglyphs along with what seems to be the same characters that appears on the rings from the other coffers. After some deciphering, Duke establishes that the characters are alphabets of some ancient language of which the Shacklethorn artifact seems to be displaying several coordinates. The gang is not sure what to make of the current situation beyond planning their next course of action.

October 25th, 2018: A delivery arrives to the safehouse for the Payday gang. Aldstone does not know how the mystery package has arrived to the Payday gang's doorstep but it appears to be harmless. Upon opening the box, the gang finds the Hope Diamond lying inside the box together with some cupcakes. Duke surmises that someone is attempting to send the Payday gang help or a message. Either way, it becomes another valuable piece to their artifact puzzle.

October 26th, 2018: The Elephant has reached out to the crew once again, this time with a solid lead on Bain’s location. Located out in the coast off Oregon, Murkywater have repurposed the abandoned Fort Clatsop prison into a facility to house various enemies of the organization. With no time to waste, Locke puts together a plan for how the Payday gang will get its leader back where he belongs.

While all this is happening, the gang finds out that their old enemies Murkywater and the Dentist are in the process of moving large amounts of money and illicit merchandise from the US to Mexico, with the help of Overkill MC, using a secret tunnel across the border. So, they decide to divide their forces as they formulate a plan to strike at this border operation.

October 28th, 2018:
51. Hell's Island:
Locke has arranged for a civilian submarine to smuggle the crew into the prison, where they infiltrate through the sewers and into the showers. As they prepare to enter the prison, a familiar and charismatic yet sinister voice greets them over the prison’s intercom - The Dentist. The rescue has been expected and the crew is ambushed by a legion of Murkywater’s finest. After fighting off their assailants and making their way to the administration block, the crew frees Bain from his cell. The Dentist declares that the Payday gang is free to reclaim Bain, but Locke senses that something is amiss. Despite this, he eggs the gang onward through the prison to follow Bain’s path of destruction as he makes his way to the roof.

The crew come face to face with a disfigured Bain, who drops the body of the Murkywater agent they had seen at Henry’s Rock. Jiro’s suspicions are confirmed as Bain introduces the mercenary as Kento shortly before succumbing to his injuries and fainting. With no time to waste, Locke personally assists the gang in carrying Bain towards their escape helicopter as they fight their way to the helipad. Before returning Bain to his duties, Locke has some tests run on Bain to make sure he is well enough to return to criminal masterminding. However, their worst fears are realized when Locke shares with the crew that Bain might not have long to live as he has been infected with some sort of man-made virus. With the clock on Bain’s life ticking down the hours, he lets them in on the location of one final score - 1600 Penn.

52. Border Crossing/Border Crystal:
Meanwhile south of the border, a small band of the Payday Gang infiltrates Overkill MC's compound where the enterprising group of bikers have agreed to help The Dentist and Murkywater move their assets through a secret tunnel to Mexico right in their own backyard. The gang makes their way through the combined forces of the bikers and Murkies and gain access to the tunnel.

After a long ride on a tram, they get to the other side of the border, where they find the loot stored in warehouses by the Mexican border owned by the Coyopas cartel, another collaborator with the Kataru as well as Murkywater. The Payday Gang take the cartel's supply of coke, weapons and cash into a private jet they find parked in the vicinity, clear the runway and take off into the horizon. The B-Team sends over the Murkywater uniforms stashed among the loot they stole from the cartel and sends them to the main group, hoping they will be of use in the near-future.

With some down time before Locke sets their final plan in motion, the subgroup of the Payday Gang decides to put on a show of force in a possible new location they may operate from. Locke, of course has no objections to our merry band of thieves.

53. Dragon Heist:
With the raid on Hell's Island underway and the B-team taking care of some trouble south of the border, another team composed of Joy (Locke's protegé and newest addition to the gang), Bonnie, Dragan and Rust, pay a visit to Jiu Feng in San Francisco, who has some jobs for the gang and just the right artillery for it.

Jiu Feng briefs them on the Golden Dagger Triad who operate a warehouse fronting as a tea shop in the streets of Chinatown, San Francisco. The crew breaks into the warehouse behind the tea shop and draws the attention of both the triads and SFPD in their attempt to infiltrate it.

With the vault containing the dragon statue now totally locked down, the crew calls for Locke's assistance to send over a thermal drill. Having prepared for this, Locke sends in his surprise delivery - a tram crashing through the streets into police vehicles nearby to deliver the thermal drill. With the vault opened, they stash the loot from the auction in there while they start opening wooden boxes which contain the dragon statue, gold bars and some handy explosives.

Backed into a corner by the SFPD, the crew improvises and uses the explosives they found to blow a hole through the warehouse wall to make their getaway. With a prepared hole made for them behind the warehouse, the crew uses the city's sewer system to move their loot undetected. Meanwhile, the crew holds out on the streets while waiting for Twitch to extract them and make their getaway shortly after.

Payday 2 (Year 6) Part III
54. San Martin Bank Heist:
On a bright sunny day in the sleepy town of San Martin, where the people go about their business, never even so much as having a passing thought of danger, the Payday Gang watches from afar. Vlad sets their sights on The San Martin Bank, where the Coyopas cartel hold a family heirloom from the Romanov dynasty which rightfully belongs to him, or so he says. There's only one objective here for them - rob the cartel owned bank to exert their reach beyond the U.S.

The Federales are no pushover, staffed by seasoned and highly motivated police officers who never back down from a fight and armed like a truly modern police force, they prove to be quite a challenge even for the notorious Payday Gang. However, through sheer determination and cunning, the group executes their plan to crack the vault open. Vlad sends his brother-in-law to help them make an entrance by smashing through the teller windows of the bank. With a little friendly coercion, the bank's IT guy helps them work towards their goal by opening a door leading to the bank's vault room where the gang is met by an intimidatingly large vault mechanism. Locke's prepared for this eventuality - by bringing in The Beast. The gear makes short work of the vault door and soon the gang finds themselves battling through the streets to secure their loot to make a quick getaway.

October 30th, 2018: Locke has identified the virus wreaking havoc on Bain as a refined strain of a virus that the biological warfare division of Murkywater had acquired through a third party some years back. Chains recalls the events of their heist at a New York hospital many years ago. Something didn’t sit well with him back then and it appears that the consequences for that job has reared its head around. Locke assures the gang that the virus isn’t contagious but Bain doesn’t have much longer to live. Whatever Bain has planned for them, it absolutely cannot wait any longer.

Meanwhile, a series of nuclear detonations in some regions worldwide identified by Duke as the coordinates listed on the obsidian plate the gang has stolen from the Shacklethorne auction. Recalling the lead-lined metal cases labeled in Russian at Fort Clatsop, the crew feels suspicious about the buyer that Vlad had referred to during their heist on the Murkywater warehouse a while back.

55. Breakfast in Tijuana:
Vlad needs help once again - it seems his brother-in-law, Hajrudin has a knack of getting into trouble wherever he may be. After helping them with the San Martin Bank, he's been captured and is currently being housed in a police station in Tijuana awaiting trial. Through an unsecured damage wall on the perimeter, the crew makes their way into the station but are spotted before long. Stealth was never their choice anyway, this job's all about sending a message that nothing stands between the Payday Gang and what they want. The crew forces their way into the evidence room and proceed to destroy the Federales' evidence on Vlad's brother-in-law.

Locke directs the crew to use the Federales' own equipment against themselves. A useful device awaits them in the police armory - a pneumatic door breaker which will help them access the back of the station where Hajrudin is being held captive. Hajrudin guides the crew to the underground compound lot, where he boards an armored car to make a getaway. The Federales however, have secured the perimeter, cutting off all exits on foot or vehicle. Locke's got the crew covered and the only way out is up. The crew continues to fight off the Federales until a helicopter arrives with a set of hooks to lift Hajrudin's armored vehicle out of there along with the rest of the crew.

56. Buluc's Mansion: After Hajrudin's Breakout, Vlad contacts the gang again. He's glad that Hajrudin is free once again but he has a new target - the leader of the Coyopas cartel, Buluc which had a hand in the arrest of Hajrudin and wants him out of business permanently. One last task awaits the B-Team before meeting the rest of the gang, so they ready up and infiltrate the mansion.

Once inside, they go to the second floor, where Buluc's office is located, but find it closed by a strange mechanism resembling a Mayan calendar. To open it, they need to investigate a little more, so they move into the inner sanctum, deeper into the mansion. Here they find the door locked away by a keycard. Past here, they find a hidden meeting room with information about the newly installed locked door and how it works and also a big fish tank with a shark which Sokol releases by mistake.

They go up once again and open the door to find Buluc ready for them at his desk. The gang proceeds to shoot him repeatedly and quick. Hurt but not dead, Buluc falls from his mansion into the sea below. While he shouts at the gang from below, his pet shark appears out of nowhere and finishes him off. The gang, surprised at what just happened exchanges shocked glances before proceeding to get a hard drive located in a safe and escape in one of Buluc's cars, ready to meet with up their partners.

Payday 2 (Year 6) Part IV
57. Ukrainian Prisoner:
The crew meets with Jiu Feng who informs them that the triad has captured Vlad Kozak after their exploits in Chinatown to torture him for information about the gang. His recently organized heists at the San Martin Bank, the breakout of Hajrudin from the Tijuana Police Station and the assassination of the Coyopas cartel boss, Buluc in his own home have put him on the radar as a threat to the triad boss, Yufu Wang. Being a crafty fellow, Jiu Feng had kept tabs on their whereabouts to the dockyards.

Sneaking in under the cover of night, the crew finds Vlad badly beaten up in a container after being tortured and recorded to extract information about the Payday Gang. Badly wounded and on the verge of death, the Payday Gang resuscitates him and escorts him out in a skid loader operated by Locke's inside man which helps guide them across the docks. The crew also steals a hard drive with information on the triad'soperation before leaving the loading docks.

During their attempt to call for an escape, the triads have jammed their comms to Jiu Feng and they were unable to reach him. With some quick thinking from Locke, he points the crew to the shipping containers to look for some fireworks to signal Jiu Feng over. Spotting the impressive fireworks display from the opposite end of the river, Jiu Feng quickly makes his way over to rescue the Payday gang.

Before leaving, the triad boss, Yufu Wang attempts to intimidate the Payday gang, getting the opposite reaction from them. You should never mess with the Payday Gang unless you are ready for a fight.

58. Black Cat:
After a while to recuperate, Vlad feels better physically. But the triads have just made a very, very angry Ukrainian rival. Now's not the time for hit on Yufu Wang yet - Vlad wants him to feel the heat by sending the Payday gang to rob his luxury cruise ship, the Black Cat. The cruise ship is an all in one experience. Gambling, partying, fine dining and most importantly storage of illicit goods and money. Unfortunately for the triads, Vlad has set his sights on making sure they pay for what they did to him.

Locke gets the crew on board by purchasing cruise tickets for them. However, now isn't the time for R&R and the crew is aware that they have a score to settle for Vlad. Getting the assets slipped onboard for them in the storage room, the group sets out to find the access needed to get into the vault on board the cruise ship - a vault code and biometric hand print belonging to Xun Kang, the triad enforcer who tortured Vlad. Xun Kang is hiding out in a bulletproof enclosure, preventing the crew from brute-forcing their way to get to him however. Using the thermite paste provided by Locke, they instead let gravity do the work, melting the support beams of a massive chandelier above the casino and slams it into Xun Kang's hideout, shattering the bulletproof glass.

With the vault code and Xun Kang's prosthetic hand, the Payday Gang unlocks the casino vault and empties the cash, throwing it overboard to be secured by their associates. It appears however, that the triads have friends in high places as the police force sends in police helicopters to prevent the crew from leaving. Armed with the gear provided by Jiu Feng, the crew makes quick work of the police choppers and signals Locke's pilot with a flare. He soon flies over to pickup the gang and they make their getaway over the sea.

59. Mountain Master:

This last two hits to The Triad and some bad decision, had left them unstabilized and a member called "Shayu" saw this as an opportunity to take the whole cake for herself and taking Yufu Wang down.
She contacts the gang and tells them about her takeover plans, and that she will gladly pay in gold for their services, as well as make peace with them when she is on top, so The Triad would not be a problem for them anymore.

After that night, that building would not look the same anymore.
The band got in guns blazing, hacked the security of the building and called the elevator so they could go up the hatch with some equipement left in the garage before their arrival.
They opened their way through the top floor and opened the access door using the force of gravity and the elevator falling at tremendous speed. They just shot the wires and this door was no more.
Inside they found yet another door and a showcase car, wich Rust and Bonnie prepared to launch at full speed while Joy and Dragan went for the server room to get a hold of some important information Shayu mentioned, as well as get the car keys wich were in the office.
Following the car's crash, the room got opened and they got inside, to find the leader of the triad, Yufu Wang prepared for them.

With some other members on his side, armored from feet to head and armed with a flamethrower, hell raised in the building. The fight was lenghty but in the end, Yufu Wang finally fell.
He was too slow with his armor to be able to get someone with the flamethrower, so the crew got away unscratched.

After checking his body for a keycard, the crew got ahold of the stored gold, via a hatch on the apartment and then left in the helicopter they signaled just after the job was done.
Before leaving however, Joy saw a curious luxury tea set on the side, and decided to keep it to herself, so she carried it to the vehicle before leaving.

The Triad was no longer a problem, but this was not the end of the gangs spree.

The first group gets out of their way to disable the motion sensor and prepare a getaway while the second one finds the correct wagon. After expert work on both sides, the crew prepares to take their bags to the newly acquired getaway train but Bonnie gets impatient and they get noticed by a flying drone.
The crew then makes their way fast to the getaway as they do not have time to spare, they get the train moving but get stuck while fighting off an army of cops. 64. Crude Awakening:

After the events in Hostile Takeover, Alice Rainey is on the run and took control of SERA’s main oil rig. With help from Gabriel Santiago, who is put in charge of security, she expects to wait the storm out, as well as do not lose any more credibility. She stashes all her remaining money here prays for the best.
The gang, almost ready to commit the greatest heist of all, gets intel on the situation by Blaine Keegan, who asks for their help with taking them out and getting some petroleum from the station.
Wanting to see this to the end, Jiro Bonnie Clover and Sangres prepare to hit SERA again, one last time, before their career’s conclusion.
The beginning goes great and they successfully infiltrate the oil rig after arriving by boat covered by the sound of the sea and the darkness of the night. Jiro leads the way, katana in hand ready to take out anyone they might find and he does while running at full speed to the lab where he leaves the others to check for clues while he gets the petroleum sample. Clover, having studied the building plans, gets to the top to prepare the pipes to start pumping.
As soon as they get the information, these two quickly start getting their job done and perfectly complete it.
When they were preparing to get the money from Gabriel Santiago’s office, some guard who had a pretty bad time in the toilet, exits to find blood on the wall and no one else close. He quickly rises the alarm and the crew finds themselves surrounded.
After reaching Gabriel Santiago, they find him fully armored and ready to kill or be killed, so they lure him into some freshly placed oil and set him on fire. This is too much for him, and the armor gives up under the heat, making him vulnerable and getting finished off by Sangres and Bonnie.
All sweaty and out of air, they prepare to rig the whole rig to explode. Raising the pressure to the roof and getting all the money in the water in time to get it on their way out by boat, just as the whole thing explodes.
Having watched this spectacle from afar, the crew celebrates but Jiro watches the flames silently… He is getting old and he is coming to terms with the fact that this might be it for him. He did everything he could all these years for his mission, to find his son. And now that it was finally over, even though in a tragic way and with his debt to the crew paid (not that there was any debt. But he felt they did a lot for him) he finally decided he was in need of some peace. He was not going to stop right now, he still had some stuff to do in Japan. But as soon as his revenge was completelly over that would be it for him.
He took a look at the rest of the crew and even though they could not see him under the mask, he proceeded to smile for the first time since his son died, proud of what the young ones were capable of.

Payday 2 (Year 6) Part VI
November 8th 2018
65. The White House:
This is it, 1600 Penn. While the other teams finishes their businesses with Vlad, the final score awaits the Payday gang - stealing presidential pardons from the White House. Bain's final swan song for the Payday gang was to rob the White House for these documents to fill in their names in the blanks and get away with every crime they have ever committed. In light of recent events, the government has taken precaution to move the President out of the White House. In place of the Secret Service, it appears that The Dentist has maneuvered some Murkywater units to guard the White House in the President’s absence. Using the White House schematics acquired by his latest protege Joy, Locke devises a plan to get into the Presidential Emergency Operations Center where he deduces the presidential pardons must be in. Decked out in stolen uniforms of the PMC, the Payday gang covertly infiltrate the White House.

Their presence doesn’t go unnoticed for long however, and soon they find themselves fending off Murkywater forces as they navigate their way into the PEOC. After the crew cracks open the safe inside the PEOC, they steal the presidential pardons - enough to go around for every individual in the Payday gang and their associates. The Murkies catch on to what the Payday gang is up to, doing everything in their power to prevent the Payday gang from getting away.

Before they leave, Locke directs them to a wall which he instructs them to blow with some C4. Behind this wall, the crew finds a mysterious tunnel leading to an elevator shaft which takes them deep underground where they're met by a massive circular door, similar in design to the obsidian plate stolen from the Shacklethorn auction. During the ride down the elevator, the crew loses their comms with Locke and they realize now they're completely alone to open the massive door. With Duke to help guide them to resolve the puzzle however, the crew is determine to finish Bain's quest once and for all and defends him while he puts his code breaking skills to use while they fight off enigmatic shadows hellbent on stopping them from getting through the door. Thankfully, their standard weapons seem to affect the creatures but not for long before more swarm towards them.

After spending quite some time solving the puzzle and fending off the shadow creatures, the door opens to reveal several layers of stone walls guarding a huge chamber within. The crew walks towards the middle of the chamber with a diamond shaped object engraved with the same letters on the obsidian door. Inside the chamber, they hear The Dentist's disembodied voice speaking to them through the wall, yet sounding strangely otherworldly and close by. He thanks them for taking the trouble to help him open the door and requests for the gang stand down, with Bain and Locke held hostage. The Dentist quickly unlocks the obsidian door's mechanism and the gang finds themselves face to face with their enemy. With what little energy Bain has left, he asks for the gang to just blow The Dentist's head off before he can use Baldwin's Lament. The gang puts a bullet between The Dentist's eyes when the final stone wall opens and Locke wheels Bain over in a wheelchair to the center of the chamber.

With Locke carrying in tow the bricks of Mayan gold from the Overvault they stole many years ago, the crew understands their purpose when looking at the shapes on the floor. Placing the gold bars carefully into each slot, Baldwin's Lament begins lighting up the room. Bain thanks the gang for getting him this far and with his dying breath wishes them goodbye. With the whole chamber shaking in a concerning manner, Locke says it's time to leave Bain behind with Baldwin's Lament and get out of dodge. Back on the surface, Murkywater has been holding their ground awaiting for the Payday Gang to resurface. Fighting off Murkywater's forces, the crew helps Locke get away behind them to return to his chopper to extract the gang from the White House lawn.

Despite Murkywater's best efforts and through sheer determination the crew hold off the assault long enough for Locke to return for them in the helicopter. As the Payday gang flies off into the sunset after their final score, they realize now - they are free.

SOMETIME LATER IN MEXICO

On a rainy evening at an unmarked Mayan burial site, the Payday gang gathers at Bain’s final resting place. An unbroken silence perpetuates throughout the ceremony, where the crew throw in their masks into his tomb. Free to retire and move on with their lives thanks to Bain’s concluding heist, members of the Payday gang solemnly leave the area. As the final two stand at the foot of Bain’s grave, Dallas and Locke’s eyes meet, where they share an unspoken regard. Finally, the pioneer of the Payday gang recruited by Bain remains - Dallas. He contemplates upon the moniker he has given himself for the past decade, concluding this too must be put to rest.

Post-Payday 2
Some time after Bain's funeral, members of the Payday Gang and their associates have gathered to celebrate their victory and freedom from persecution on an offshore retreat purchased by Locke. The Butcher pays them a visit to take her share of their payday and gives Locke a thrashing for the betrayal in Alaska. Vlad also drops by and receives a phone call which puts the group on alert for a while. However, he reassures them that it's none of their concern and that he has severed ties with the arms ring in Seattle which he was partnered up with for some time.

Meanwhile, the crew watches a broadcast on the news about their recent exploits in the Capitol. The media has spun their engagement with Murkywater as a victory by the MPD. Claiming credit for successfully eliminating the Payday Gang, Commissioner Garrett is presented with the medal of valor by the President. The President during his speech, looks directly into the camera, aware of who's watching and gives his regards, "let's do this".

Following this party, the Payday Gang goes their separate ways as they did during Bain's funeral. Each member bids a close friend and partner farewell and hopes to eventually reunite again some day, if they're ever in need of a payday again. Not much is known about the Payday Gang following this, but rumors circulate around about their fate since they disbanded.

Extra Credits
  • The Midland Heist image wich used to be present in the guide was modified using BitRadical's awesome vector image of Sangre's Mask from his redbubble shop as a starting point. You can check the rest of his awesome work here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/bitradical/shop !

(This is no longer the case as the image just disapeared and now I am using an official image (The old one wich had the wrong characters present was also deleted from Overkill's Site so I could not get it back to re-modify it) that was uploaded by Overkill later. Anyways, I want to leave the link here )

(this is dogearmy5335, I mean't to make the previous comment on this account, my main account, but didn't realize I was still logged into it... whoops...)

revisiting this page, and reading it again, I noticed that most newly added contractors aren't on the starring list.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in here as well as this guide was my baby when I was actively helping Lemushki edit it back in the day.

To be honest, my interest in the game has more or less completely fell off after the White House ending came out and the game has shown little to attract me back. I've played a little bit here and there but never enough to pull me back in for long periods of time.

After seeing the abysmal release of Payday 3, this still hasn't changed and I don't plan on continuing to play any games in the franchise until it improves.

Thank you everyone for the support though and every new comment, like, favorite and award on this guide always makes me proud of the time I had spent in the game and writing this up.

Thanks for the comment dogearmy, as of right now I got a new job that gets me out of my home for around 12 or 13 hours a day, and my free time is little to none (also got married in february and that is taking time from my remaining free time). So until I get another job I do not think I will update it. Maybe in the future but I do not want to promise anything (as I kinda did on July 2023... That might have backfired).

As for Strider I think he is not that much into payday right now.

Would love to keep it going when I get enough time to do so. I probably would have to get more into this game's lore before doing so as I have played it much more casually than Payday 2 because these reasons I mentioned and others, but reading this type of feedback really makes me want to keep on with it :)

Any plans to update this guide for Payday 3 or make Payday 3 it's own guide?

Payday 3 doesn't really need such a guide, due to it's cutscenes and such, but I like your way of writing and would like one to be made.

@Lemushki I just send to you a friend request, so that you can write the friendly order for me.

P.S. Thanks a lot for your help with this project and using your time for me.

AND.... The guide seems to be finally over...
It is been some years and a wild ride, but it seems that this is it for the game.
This will definitelly return a time after Payday 3 launches on this forum or the other game's one.

For those of you who stuck till the end, I really apreaciate all the feedback (Public and Private) that you left and that you stayed reading this till the end.

As always, do not hesitate to leave your feedback and please, let me know if you liked what I did with Jiro in the end of Crude Awakening. It was not necesarry but I felt his story was really fitting for this kind treatment in the end.

THANK YOU all again and I will be reading you again in the future :)

Fixed a problem with the last two heists when I mentioned "Dragan" when trying to talk about "Jiro". Do not know how it happened

And now we get ready for Payday 3…
