Iron Ruler is a deceptively simple looking transcription of strategy board gaming to the PC.

A unique synergy between 5 different unit types and 4 resources gives it depth and urgency like few other games before it ever achieved. It builds on the simplicity and addictiveness offered by an old classic called Lords of Conquest.

- The more diverse your armies, the more significantly they increase in power. f(n) = (n² + n) / 2
- Great artworks by Joseph Caesar. There are more to be found than those posted on this page.
- Customizable map. You can vary size, ressource availability, number of continents, islands, and naturally number of players (up to 5).
- Strong AI, but that still needs a bit of work, hence the unannounced release date.
- It's a pretty straight-forward game that will be priced under $5. it's just meant to be a bit of fun.

I love Lords of Conquest, that was a fun DOS game!
If you've never played it try seeking it out!

The mapping reminds me of some old school strategy RPGs like Fantasy Empires and a Norse mythology one (can't remember the name). Looks interesting.

@Primarchus It's a strategy game with a map to conquer for resources, units to produce with said resources and a unique way for them to work together. I'd rather not go into too much detail about the rules because that would require a long, confusing description, or a playable demo that I don't have available yet.

@wallace Sovereign is working out as well :)

The game looks interesting and old-school, but it is still unclear what it is. :masterworks:

Thanks everyone. MadButcher this isn't a crpg. Sovereign is, but that's a different project.
