First of all, hello and thanks for stopping in on my little guide for Demon Tower, I'm not great at it, but i know how to cheese my way to Víctory.

Demon tower Is a neat little minigame in Night In The Woods that is inspired by the Souls games and you can tell that the devs really wanted you to ragequit with it, if you are like me, you want the sweet little achivemets for beating this minigame, but is kinda hard (at least for me it was), so I hope this guide helps you.

Basics
You as the all mighty Palecat have 2 abilities:

Attack: You know ... This is how you kill things, learn the range and how often you can attack, at most you can attack 2 times in a row before running out a stamina, so don't spam your attacks and wait for the right moment to attack (like in the souls games).

Dash: This is how you avoid damage, juke enemies, lure them into tramps and absorb damage from proyectiles, like knifes and fireballs, you need master this skill, in-game it will help you a lot. Most important of all YOU CAN CHAIN DASHES as long you have dashes meters to spend.
Know your enemie
A quick tip: Clear all the green guys () before you pick the floor key, so you wont have to fight the red guys () in front the boss door, they are easy to beat but mostly annoying.

Like this

(RNG rulez)

Find the boss door first, then get they floor key, is the best strategy most times

Most enemies on Demont Tower are easy to beat, I I’ll give you a tip on how to defeat the most frustrating enemy.... *coff coff*...cape wearings teleporting a-hole... *coff coff*...

It’s best if you avoid them as much as possible, but if RNG-Jesus hates you so much you have to fight them, try to lure them to tramps or rivers of blood, they are quick and kinda cheap, but not very smart on small spaces you can absord damage or juke his/hers daggers and kill them, they die on a single hit, just dont try to fight more than 1 at once, they will screw you so hard...
Use the force... the force of the environment
You can cheese almost al thes bosses and enemies with corners and tombstones, the 6th and 7th bosses of the games are totally expoitable using the enviroment, so be creative!

The levels are kinda randomized but the boss doors are always on the north side wall and the key room are always in the same spot in your game , so if you find them, they always are in the same general area.
Patience is a virtue
Specially on later levels, you need to know when is a good moment to fight or flee, always try to have a good rute to escape in case something goes wrong... because most like it.... it will....

Know your limits and the limits of your enemies

Not everyone has good reflexes, so play smart.
Want tips for the bosses kids?
Lv1 boss: Dies on 1 hit, so... hit it hard!

Lv2 boss: Only attacks if you are right infront of him so flank attacks are the way to go

Lv 3 boss: It constantly spawns skeletons, just sit on a corner of the pentagram, most skeletons wont agro won’t aggro, eventually the boss will stop in whatever corner you choose. That’s your moment to attack.

Here is my favorite spot to camp.

Lv4 boss: Same strategy as Lv2 Beware the skeletons that spawn after it’s defeated

Lv5 Boss: 's just a big blob. Stay mobile and kill the rat blobs.
(This level has my favorite song of the game)

Lv6 Boss: Destroy the pots first to have more room to maneuver.

Move around the room avoiding the ghosts chasing you and predicting where the bird on the throne will be next, this is just about patience and experience. This boss is not hard, just annoying.

Lv7 Boss: This boss is kinda cheap, you can kite it around the whole room and risk getting corner, or kite around the area where the arrows show using your dash.Stay alert of its fireballs and blood trail.
Tip from the user TigerBlaze98
"Level 7 boss: DO NOT let the blood monster cover the space in front of the exit with it's blood trail, as it won't fade away even if the boss is defeated. So it's best if you kill the boss as quick as possible. (cuz.. more leg room! hurray!!)"

Welcome to hell

Lv8 Boss: this boss is simple if you know what are you doing, when you enter the boss room dash to the right side of the room, there you will find a river of blood pods and 2 tomb stones.
Tip from the user NiceAwesumDude: "This boss has a rather small detection radius, so if you keep your distance you can clear all enemies from the room before beginning the fight. If it's just you and the boss, the fight is rather easy if you're good at absorbing the knives" Good tip!

The tombstones are your friends. Use them as shields to force the boss to place itself between the river [ ] and the wall, when it attacks, dash over the knifes and hit it, dash over to the tombstones and repeat until the boss is defeated.
Usually I don’t clean the room before beating this guy, since the tombstone trick is good enough, but whatever strategy you prefer is up to you. .

Lv9 Boss: Sorry mario the boss is in another castle

Lv10 Boss: This is it, 1 hit and you are dead, this boss is easy just be aware of his atack animation to be ready to dash out of it. not much to say. in comparation of the lvl 6, 7 and 8 bosses this is a piece of cake
Just be aware that the boss will heal if he stands over the rivers of blood, try to beat it fast and dont lure them over the rivers of blood. (thx to Fireheart for this tip)

Congratulations! You beat Demontower. All praise the All Mighty Gregg!

Holy god this minigame feels like the developers were playing a joke on us. Especially the blood being poisonous after killing the final boss . Shoutout to your tip on Boss 8, although I pretty much waited until it died by dashing itself into the blood river.

Thank you so much, OP, and everyone in the comments, for giving such fantastic advice. I f*cking hate this minigame so much.

I know it's kind of obvious but i did just die to it so I'm saying it. You should probably warn players that the lvl 10 boss drops a pool of blood when he dies that can kill you
Questioning Machine Feb 18, 2024 @ 9:13pm
best way to beat the 7 is to go around the room and hit them always when you can

Thank you sooooo much for writing this guide! I've beat the game in just a few hours thanks to it!

if you die do you always restart the same level? or does it ever make you go back to level 1?

So.
turns out the level 3 boss has a bit of anti-cheese!
During my play through after the game had spawned in so many skeletons that the boss couldn't spawn anymore- the boss just kept dashing, giving it i-frames for eternity until I killed at least ONE skeleton.

Can somebody PLEASE help me and give me tips about the level 7 boss, i keep getting kiled by it

It's possible to cheese the final boss by getting him to backwards-dash up against the back wall. If you time your swings correctly (fast enough to keep him stunned, not fast enough to tire out the palecat) he won't be able to move or attack you and he goes down extremely quick compared to most other bosses. Might take a couple attempts to get right, but since the dungeon leading up to him is just a hallway it shouldn't be hard to set up once you're there. Best of luck demonslayers :os_sun:

"Use the force... the force of the environment" Could you please say a bit more about this section, especially more about how "the 6th and 7th bosses of the games are totally expoitable using the enviroment"? Put it under a spoiler block if you have to, but I'd really like to know what you had in mind there!

B: Yes you get an extra achievement for getting the true ending, in addition to the one you get for finishing at all.
