The Trick
We all have different definitions of what makes a perfect base location. This simple guide is to help you find near 100 values in almost all resources.

The first thing to understand is biomes. Biomes are types of "ground" that make up certain sections of the map. Common biomes are Green (aka lush fertile land), Arid (aka desert with good minerals), and Swamp (aka water soaked).

The below link is of a map which shows the different territories. Each territory has a biome type.

And each biome has common and rare traits (still filling out these details):
> Green = good Fertility, water, and iron - grows greenfruit, cotton, wheat, and hemp 100%
> Arid = good iron, copper, and stone - grows cactus 100%, and wheat/hemp 60%
> Swamp = good water and copper - grows rice and hemp 100%

It is common enough to find 100 fertility, water, and stone in all biomes. It is possible but rare to find 100 of any resource in each biome. It is difficult if not impossible to find 100 in each resource in one location.

There is a simple trick however to finding near 100 in each resource: find the border of two biomes that have your desired traits and run along that border prospecting until you come across an ideal location both in terms of resources and desirable terrain (flat land or natural walls).

In this screenshot it is night with a low graphics setting, but running down the middle is a clear line between a green and arid biome. And if you look at the prospecting window you can see 100% Green and 100% Arid land. Having this border run down the middle of your base is the key to taking advantage of all resources within one base.

It's important to note the values on the prospecting window can be deceiving in that they do not always reflect what is actually there. It's better to look at the map than the values, or go to build mode and read the values when building wells, mines, and farms.

In this case you can see it says zero iron but when I click on iron you can see very bright green dots on the prospecting map, bright green represents a value of 100.

Despite what the prospecting window says, this spot that I am standing is near perfect. If I move my prospector around merely on the ground in the screenshot I can find:
100% Green, 100% Arid
100 Fertility
100 Water
100 Stone
100 Iron
40 Copper

The only weakness of this spot is Copper is not 100, and there is no Swamp values. As an experienced player I know you need less copper than other materials and that you can do without Swamp values (aka Rice products). So building a base at this large open flat land is an ideal location for me, especially since it is in the center of the map giving me a nice central location.

A lot of locations can be found like this just running along the border of biomes. Don't trust the prospecting values! Trust green on the prospecting map or the values in build mode.

Note you may have other preferences such as how often your base gets attacked, some prefer quiet bases while other prefer a near constant raid of enemies for training purposes. I do not consider these in this guide. The only non resource considerations are flat land (straight buildings), natural walls (ease of making your base safe), and map location (ease of travel).

Hopefully this short little guide is helpful to those of you still looking for good locations. Cheers.

I tried to settle there, but since a part of my guys are sheks, the HN do not like me very much.

I went to this spot and there's not much in terms of copper and iron.

Reminds me that I wasted hours making a base inside Shem, with nowhere to sell my wares... rip(at least HN don't bother me here.)
Good tips btw.
