The Fastest way to beat Crush Crush
By TheGhostThatWas
Let's all agree on one thing; this game takes a long, long time to beat. This is the best guide for the impatient, or just players who have gotten stuck on higher levels.

Intro to Crush Crush
Crush Crush is the best Cookie Clicker clone with all the stereotypical anime girls you could want. Witty writing and cute artwork make it a fun, and enjoyable game. You need to complete Hobbies to level up your stats, which unlock Jobs to make money. After that, you can take girls on dates or give them gifts to gain affection. Each girl gives you a small stat boost when you complete them, but the next girl is more challenging to complete.
I'm the kind of person that people refer to as a "completionist." I really do love the clever pick up lines in the writing, and did somewhat enjoy the "artwork" you earn at the end of each level, but I wanted to beat the game more than anything. I was in it for the achievements. If I just wanted the pin-up art, I could easily find screenshots online.
The problem with wanting to beat the game is that it is exactly like Cookie Clicker. It takes a long, LOOOOONG time.
Getting Started with Time Travel
So if you want to beat the game, you have to wait weeks for those bars to fill, right?
Well, not really. It can be done faster, but you need to have a good little reset boost or two, as well as some clever exploitation.
Let me explain Time Travel. It's a lot easier than it sounds! Since this game relies on your computers clock to count down to your next level, you can easily manipulate the game.

  • First, you want to save the game, just in case.
  • Now, the game can be open or closed for this next step. Simply move your computers clock ahead one week! (Moving it more than one week at a time might crash your game if you left it open!)
  • Set your clock back to the current time, and you're done! This can be repeated to fill up those bars a little bit faster.

You won't lose experience by moving the clock back a week, so all you have to do is move forward!...
But this method is kind of boring. Actually, it was more painful for me than waiting for the bars to fill. (Literally. My wrist hurt after five minutes.) So I thought... how can I fix it?
Let's start dating!
So how can we take time travel a step further? We need to speed up the process, which is actually pretty easy. After doing some quick googling, I was able to write up a .bat file.
A .bat file (full name is a "batch file") is a file that can execute commands on your computer in the Command Prompt. I'm not a computery person by any means, but it's not too complicated to make one yourself.

(Video tutorial covering most of the following steps is at the bottom of the page.)

Writing the File

  • First, open a new text document. (To do that, right click on your desktop, open the New drop down menu, and select Text Document

  • Name your document whatever you want it to be named, and then open it.

  • In the document, copy and paste in the following
    @echo off
    :loop
    date XX-XX-20XX
    echo Set Date 1
    timeout /t 1
    date YY-YY-20YY
    echo Set Date 2
    timeout /t 1
    goto loop

  • Now, in the first line that says date XX-XX-20XX, replace the Xs with todays date. The order on my computer is month, day, year, but yours might be different if you're not from the United States. For example, date 03-26-2017 will set the date of your computer for March 26, 2017.

  • Next, on the second line that says date YY-YY-20YY, replace the Ys with a date one week from today. If today is March 26, I would choose April 2. April 2 would be date 04-02-2017

  • In the top left corner, open the File drop down menu, and choose Save As.

  • Open the Save as type menu, and select All Files.

  • At the end of your file name, you should see the .txt extension. Delete that, and replace it with .bat.

  • Save your file.

(Every day you run the command, you will need to set the dates again. You can easily do it by right-clicking the file, and selecting Edit. You will be brought back to the window with all the writing. Just adjust the dates to today's date and next week's date again.)

Let's get moving!
We have our file, so let's speed this game up!
If you're starting from the very beginning of the game, I would strongly suggest throwing a little money to the developers by purchasing a timescale boost. (I spent $5.00 on a x64 boost once I had already collected enough Diamonds.) It's a free to play game, so give the developers at least one microtransaction. Pay your dues.
Even if you aren't starting from scratch, it wouldn't hurt to give yourself a boost if you haven't passed at least x100 reset boost yet. (I didn't even use this file until I had passed x1000 reset boost and became stuck.)

Run the file as an Administrator
Why you might ask? You're adjusting a system setting with these commands, so you need admin privledges. Don't worry, you're not giving it permission to mess up your computer (as long as you didn't add any other commands yourself!)
Once it's running, your computer will probably to start to slow down. You're adjusting commands pretty quickly, and I couldn't get the Task Bar to display because the date on it kept changing. If you kept the game running, I would suggest you don't minimize it.
Once you've gotten all the experience you can, just close the file and go back to your game.

Reset the Date
After you are satisfied, make sure you set the date back to the correct one in your system settings. (If the file left off on next weeks date!)

The Dark One
There's a miniboss girl in the game that drains the Affection you earn with her over time. She's called the Dark One, and is the second to last girl. If you keep the command running while trying to move past her, you will drain all the affection you earned, since the game registers a week passing. Once you reach the next level with her, you don't have to worry about losing that level over time, but you will have to Flirt and Chat your way through her level without the command to help you. Good luck!
Reaching Completion
Congratulations! You can make it through level 74 in minutes this way! I hope that you enjoy the game as much as I did. Consider going back and purchasing some of those sexy outfits for some of the girls, they would sure appreciate it. ;)
Seriously. Spend money. It's how the game was supposed to be beaten, don't try and cheat out of it if you can afford it.

Have fun playing!

You can cheat engine yourself a fuck ton of gems and beat the game in about 2 weeks. baring the girls you have to pay for. but its like 25 bucks to get them all

I think it happens because the computer being used can't handle running the file and updating the game as it runs. Which at that point is no different than if you set the time yourself. My laptop is an acer aspire from 2012. Run skyrim on lowest settings and it still is slow to play. I should be lucky i can get any game to run smoothly at all.

Okay, so I just tested it. And I can confirm that the freezing happens, but for me it's only briefly; if I stop the script, no matter where in the loop, for a few seconds, the game continues.

I have no idea why. It may be that there's just kind of inefficient coding on the backend of CrushCrush, in which case there's nothing to do about it...

Ravus, I know that. That's why the game is open when I do the time skip but I don't understand why the game freezes every time if the time skip leaves this month.
Ravus Sapiens Oct 7, 2023 @ 10:01pm
Laeman, There shouldn't be anything preventing you from doing longer timeskips, but the game only saves offline progress for a week, so anything longer than that won't count.

Is there any way to skip more time? I tried different ways and changed the code as well but somehow the time skip only happens if I stay in the same month, if for example I go from october to november doesn't work but if I stay in october it works.

TryyalAzureboarder, no. As far as steam is cencerned you got the achievements legitimately, so there's also no possiblity of being banned.
It's the same thing if you were using third party software, like Steam Achievement Manager, as long as we're talking about singleplayer games, you can be 100% sure that you face no risk of being banned.
Competitive games on the other hand might have anti-cheat features installed that can detect if you're trying to manipulate your achievements (although in most cases, it's still not something that will get you banned, as steam achievements generally don't have any effect on gameplay).

Will this mess with Steam achievements at all? I'm assuming so but to be sure. And if not, is it possible to be banned from achievements for using these methods?

Of course, cheating is easy.

Oh jfc. I started with a 20 second cooldown and it still crashed after a bit. I'm using a good computer that's supposed to be able to handle stuff. Yeah, I don't recommend using this method anymore unless you're not afraid of frying your PC.
