How to Po! A ComiPo Tutorial that Starts at the Beginning.
By LadiSilverfox
How to Po! is a manga-style tutorial starring Willa and Caster. They help to show you step by step the process of how to complete certain tasks in ComiPo and answer user questions, from the most basic to the most complicated ComiPo techniques.
__________________________________________________________________________

How to Po! is back and better than ever! The original version was started in 2014 and was intended for the English (non-Steam) versions that were out at the time. Now that we are in 2021, the English (non-Steam) version is no longer supported by Degica and we have been through many updates and version changes that made much of the information previously found in How to Po! irrelevant. Please note that older chapters will be removed. The completed older version will still be available here on my DeviantArt ~~~> https://www.deviantart.com/ladisilverfox/gallery/51668233/how-to-po

I hope you all enjoy the new How to Po! as much as you did the original. Please feel free to make suggestions or ask questions!

Thank you all!

Thank you, Xyzt. It's hard to believe that my original started in 2014 which is oddly 8 years ago (or very nearly). I still think 1999 was just a couple of years ago. LOL

Thank you LadiSilverFox, I really appreciate this tutorial. I wish you good luck with raising your kid in these crazy times. I guess most of us who remember your original tutorial probably have kids, myself included.

Mr. ESE - I assume you are talking about the "Hand positions & holding items" chapter.

I haven't used ComiPo in a while so I went ahead and re-downloaded it. When I click the Change Item button (F12) the menu is pretty much the same. However instead of having a drop down menu there are buttons along the top listed under "Target". They are the same categories as the drop down menus for the most part.
It looks like you can add 2 custom items per hand. One as palm and one as grab. Using
Head Item you now have 8 custom slots. All those custom slots can be added by using the drop down menu accessible after clicking the Target button.

I hope this helps :)

Fantastic guide, thank you for all the hard work you put into it.

The "Change Item" window doesn't have the "List Mode" option in the latest version of the software. Got any ideas to work around this?

Thanks for the update. I hope all goes well for you

Hi, Amaxe. I had originally planned it to be a continuous series as ComiPo developed and grew. However after losing all my assets to a hard drive crash and needing to start putting more of my time towards my job and child raising I have decided to leave the ComiPo community and thus this tutorial is as finished as it will be.

I am glad you are enjoying the tutorial. :)

Enjoying the tutorial. Is it ongoing? Or is it basically finished until some content update happens?

Crutch, I am glad my tutorial was helpful for you. And that is so wonderful that you are willing to put in the time to learn software like this to help out your daughter!

Happy Manga Making! ^-^

You can get a lot of free ComiPo ready resources on DeviantART, but the community there can be a little crazy. It used to be okay but too many unhealthy elements moved in. It can still be a good place to get items or links though!

I just stumbled upon your "How to Po!" tutorial. I have been trying to learn ComiPo so that I can help my daughters. All I can say, is that you are awesome! Your tutorial was entertaining, and educational. Well Done, and thank you!
