Battle of Hu Lao Gate

This is a scaled replica of the classic Battle of Hu lao Gate from Dynasty Warriors 3.

This is scenerio style battle, Attackers(Allied Forces start west of Fan Shui Gate(Middle Gate) and must attack it from multiple fronts. They have the possibility to spawn in the north to try and strike Fan shui from the rear since a full frontal assault would be quite the struggle through its one choke point. Allies also have the option of deploying troops in a risky position south east of Fan Shui. Use teamwork and time your assault, just like in Dynasty warriors a 3-4 pronged attack would be the best way to spread the defenders and create a weak point.
Like in most scenerio battles the defenders will have quite a few good choke point areas to defend, But the vast space between them will have you choosing wisely if you don't have the numbers to hold them all.

[#1 Scenario Condition, Have players choose a General on each team to play as Dong Zhuo(Defenders) and Yuan Shao(Attackers) If either of these Generals die the opposing team wins.

[#2 win condition for scenario players could be that you place a hero in the defenders(Dong Zhuo's Forces) supply depot(center of map has large barrel storage containers) he/she is the supply captain, the captain can't leave the depot and if killed the defending force loses OR needs to force march to Hu Lao. Attackers(Allied Forces) lose if all generals are dead. OR if Allied forces choose someone to be Yuan Shao and he dies Allies lose.]


Story behind the map : Dong Zhuo a very corrupt politician and warlord who took control of china's capital from the Han dynasty. In response many warlords of the land including Yuan Shao(Noble lord, Coalition leader) Cao Cao (childhood friend of Yuan Shao, Lead a force through the narrow mountain pass) Sun Jian ( "Tiger of Jiangdong" Lead a frontal assaults on Fan shui Gate and Hu Lao) Gongsun Zan, and Liu Bei (Liu Bei being a lesser lord at the time followed by his sworn brothers Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei were lead by Gongsun Zan in a northern assault) and Yuan Shu (Brash cousin to Yuan Shao, tried to lead an assault from behind Fan Shui. Was met and killed by Lu Bu - Dong Zhuo's Badass stepson) all joined together to slay the tyrant and claim glory for themselves. (except Liu Bei because he's noble as ♥♥♥♥ and did it for the people)

Even with part of the map cut off I recommend you play 3v3 or 4v4 due to its scale.
Also due the many ways of approach the AI will have some trouble choosing what route to take. So I recommend that you play this in multiplayer battles rather than with AI. It's playable with AI just not optimize. But is you want they will work, Most of the time they will attack the front of Fan shui or march through the mountain pass(slowly).
Haven't tested AI on defense.
