Just Us is a 2 player COOP experience.
The story is about a couple, a man and his wife (you can play as man+man or woman+woman), set on an Island created due to Global Warming that has flooded most of the Earths surface.
You came here to settle down and live a quiet life, far away from civilization. The problem with this is that nobody were able to notify you of the ongoing world crisis that would alter the fate of all living beings on Earth.
The people who lived in your vicinity fled in hope of finding civilization, without any means of communication there is no telling if they succeeded or not..

You must scavenge the Island to find resources to stay alive, due to global warming the climate is quickly shifting from summer to winter temperatures with harsh rain and thunderstorms, the lack of winter clothing isn't making it easier either..

The reason you are still alive is thanks to enormous mountains surrounding the newly created Island, hindering any more sea water from flooding your home.

But the most important question.. Are we truly alone in the world? If not, how long until others find this place....

You must craft everything from bows, arrows, clothing to food, bandages, campfires and more, to stay alive.

  • Shelter/Building placement (also campfires, generators etc).
  • Crafting system for clothing, weaponry and food.
  • Generators to drive electrical equipment such as lamps
  • Cooking system
  • Fishing
  • Hunting
  • Day & Night cycle
  • Weather system
  • Temperature system
  • Clothing will give you better protection against wildlife and weather
  • Fuel for cars and generators (limited supply)
  • Gas for stoves/ovens (limited supply)
  • Drivable vehicle
  • Weapons will be simple, hunting rifles, bow/arrow and melee weapons (hatchets, sledgehammers, etc)
  • All wildlife has AI awareness and will react to your actions

Your worst enemy will be nature, due to global warming, nature is freaking out, and there is no telling when the next thunderstorm will hit, there will also be wildlife such as Bears, wolfs and more.

What is the end game? Now, why would I spoil that?

The goal with this game is not to create anything ultra realistic, everything you see in the screenshots and gameplay trailer is all a work in progress, but a fully playable game integrated with Steam built in Unreal Engine 4.

It's nice that the description actually xplains what the game is about.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at .

Good luck with the development!

Samurai (flaz3r): I answered your question 4 posts down already.

May you add any bandits NPC? Like in a Conan Exiles.

Phil: Not at the moment, the game is unfinished and unpolished and I think it would be unwise to share it unless you are near completion, kind of gives the wrong impression of what the final release will(might) look like.

any plans to put out a demo to test?

abxyxx: Indeed, I love fishing, if you have any suggestions for improvement, give a shout!

Samurai: At the moment the games focus is on "You vs Nature", I will not rule out adding additional enemies in the future, but I will not promise anything either unfortunately.

I would rather add more environmental dangers such as Toxic rain due to Nuclear pollution or something, but we'll see :)

Veskaida: I've given it some consideration, given your advice I might actually edit the video when I get home, I know what my game is, while others do not, and this could potentially damage it.
