RAIDEN FIGHTER

설명
Do you remember the RAIDEN series? It's a remarkable shooting game in my childhood, presented by Seibu Crop. In 2005, RAIDEN III came to PS2, using 3D technique. It was a great surprise of shooting games.
I tried to make this RAIDEN fighter in Besiege. Takes 3weeks to finish.

2017.3.25 update: Greatly improved maneuverability and stabilization!
Finally have a block count of 611.

Suggest run below 50% game speed.

General introduction:

1. Variable wing:
change the wing shape for three basic flight modes, and also can accurate adjust speed.
standard: high mobility mode and super sonic. Full rudder speed is under 2 mach.
low-speed: a easy contorlable mode. Average speed is 400km/h.
landing: the fighter will gently slow down in this mode, help you to land.

2. VTOL:
turn on VTOL engine to get into this mode.

3. Weapons:
I tried to reappear the fire power of RAIDEN game.
yellow shot: I use 10 crossbows.
red shot and blue shot: Need advanced laser MOD, download here http://forum.spiderlinggames.co.uk/index.php?threads/thecvbs-mod-releases-spaars-modloader.3342/

controls
----
T G F H: pitch and roll
left Shift: engine on/off
Z X: decelerate/accelerate
semicolon (;) : turn on/off VTOL engine
I K J L: VTOL pitch and roll
U O: VTOL yaw (also can do yaw in normal flight)
----
R Y: variable wing control
right ctrl and shift: land gear
1: cameras
----
C: cannons
B: yellow shot (not recomanded, always shoot yourself)
V: blue shot
N: red shot (use M to blast the target)

cluster bomb:
press 4, change to bomb aiming camera, hold 4 to lay down the bomb
press 6 to shoot out the bomb
when bomb gets close to the target, press 7 to spread the little bombs
press 4 to quit aiming camera, hold 5 to close the hatch.

NOTICE:
1. in normal taking off: press left Shift turn on the engine, then hold Z and G for a quick take-off.
Must hold G all the time
because the rear gear will leave the ground first, hold G to adjust gesture, otherwise the front gear may crash.
2. in landing: let the rear gear touch the ground first.
3. When doing high mobility, bringing cluster bomb, it has a very low chance to blow itself. If blows, please report in the comments.
4. If you have a Velocimeter MOD, it will help you to make a VTOL take-off. Suggest shutting down VTOL engine when speed is 300km/h.
5. PRESS key Z to save yourself from stalling!

A Tip:
VTOL keys can help the plane to steer quicker.

Damn, this is cool! Would love if it had the rotating thrusters as seen in Raiden II's intro!

Btw if you know where I could get my hands on the actual game files of Raiden II, I would love to play it as I have only seen gameplay videos in YT, and I used to play that one flash fan remake (Raiden X). I have tried to find copies of them, but MAME (the emulator I use) always gives missing files error.

The skin you are using for this creation contains ones that I made.

It's totally fine if you take only the models of my skin pack and create your own texture. But taking both the models and textures is no good.
Please delete the my skins in this pack and use my WhitePaint together with yours.

This is a really cool, well-balanced plane! I think in future designs, it would help to optimize the design with fewer blocks, so it can be run at a higher game speed. Great job, though! :steamhappy:
