If you're comboing, you won't really be able to grab the bodies on the floor, and if you do, you'll lose the combo.
You can heal easily via modules, getting combos above 25, or through the shop (which you'll likely always have enough money to buy stuff there if you get good combos.
If you don't get hit much, it's also good to just end the combo after 15(i think that's when you get the increased charge) to collect the rewards.
killing enemies regardless adds to total combo making World 4 one of the easiest in my opinion.
If this is your strategy, getting blast module is actually high up on your list of items to get. This is because it clears red enemies below you, and also adds to your combo counter!
A good combo of items (in order of usefulness) would be:
- Safety Jetpack
- Gem Powered
- Gem Attractor - good if you already have Gem Powered
- Blast module
- Gunpowder Blocks - shooting one breakable block will break others nearby, often letting you keep your combo going
