Medieval Engineers survival tutorial

This is a guide for those who just started playing the game and want to do survival mode. There are a lack of video tutorials for 2017 and I want to create a series of videos to help new players into the game. Thankfully the developers created a short quest for you guys, but it doesn't tell you everything you need. With that I have my first nearly 40 minute long video to help you guys with the simple stuff from eating to building.

Before we start I created a map of sorts with a storage building and a huge deposit of iron placed in a mountain.

This is an ongoing guide, so I will be updating this every so often with videos to help you with the simplest things. Right now we only have one video up, but that will increase over time.

How to customize your character

If you are doing this in survival mode, you won't be able to cusomize your character for a while until you research blacksmithing, mine for iron ore, smelt the ore to create an ingot, and then change them into metal parts at a blacksmith. It will take some time.

I must say, it can be pretty hard to find iron if you don't know where to look. Which is why I put together that edited map for those who don't know. This video should tell you how to get iron and build the tools you need to become a more efficient engineer.

Claiming territory for your own!

Claiming land is easy. just build a claim block and wait for ten minutes. However you have to fight off constant attacks by bandits and pay taxes to an unkown ruler. If it were me I would hunt down that ruler and claim his blasted kingdom, that greedy pig.
