What is "Reset scumming?" aka "Reroll"
Actually I don't know the correct term but I do know of a similar term called "Save scumming" which is were a player rolls back to a previous game save in order to get a desired reward from a boss; It doesn't have to be loot, just a desired outcome. Reset scumming is just a term derived from save scumming.

Why reset scumming works aka Reroll
Because Final Fantasy Mobius allows you to reset your data which allows you to reobtain summon tickets.

How long does each run take?
5-8 Minutes if you are proficient, your auto-battles go well, understand the steps, have a decent computer to handle the game, and is paying attention to click pass cutscenes, victory screens, etc; Just listen for the victory music at the end and stream a video on the side. The game doesn't even stop if you go full screen.

Also note that the PC(Steam version) is currently far easier to obtain a "Greater Supreme Summon" than the "Mobile Version", the formor giving you 4 "Summon Tickets" + "1000 Magicite" and the latter only giving you 3 "Summon Tickets" + "1000 Magicite"; That 1 "Summon Ticket" difference is the difference between a "Greater Supreme Summon" and a "4-Star/Supreme Summon". Yes the summon difference does matter in the long run.
Who should use "Reset scumming"
  • People who are cheap and or poor
  • People who do have no problem with performing tons of resets
  • People who have lots of free time on their hands
  • People who do not find reset scumming offensive
  • People who are not rich
  • People who want a strong start
  • People who have not invested much time/money in Final Fantasy Mobius
  • People who have no problem losing their current progress
  • People who really want that limited-time edition supreme Aerith card!
  • Lastly, people who want to test RNG probrability and data mine statistics

Step-by-Step Process

Warning, this guide involves reseting your Final Fantasy Mobius data. All the money, hardwork, and effort will all be lost. If you are willing to accept those conditions then continiue.
1
This guide assumes that you are a new player, the first thing you do is enter your in-game name. A one character name is OK. You can always change your name by going into the "Social" tab later
2
If this is your first time playing Final Fantasy Mobius, you will be introduced to a tutorial. You should view it once to learn the basics of the game but every other time you reset, always choose the "Skip" option because the tutorial waste a ton of time.
3
Tap on the Final Fantasy Mobius logo because the game won't progress without you tapping on it.
4
On every cutscene, you want to tap and hold on the fast foward button to fast foward through the cutscenes. The fast foward button can be found on the top right corner of any cutscene. Before you enter every battle, you are offered to rent a card. Since we are intrested in speed, on the top-right corner of the rental screen, there is a hermes shoe icon. Click that and you will no longer be bothered with the card rental issue. For some reason mobile users do not see this auto-rent option until further progression into the game.

5
Set the battle mode to "Auto-Battle". Auto-battle will automatically perform battle actions for you. It isn't perfect but saves us the trouble of clicking and thus preventing carpel tunnel. As long as you do not click on the screen, with a few exceptions like auto-battle options, then auto-battle will remain until the end of the battle and even at the start of your next battle, it will still be on. My tutorial only requires you to fight 4 fights, each containing 2-5 rounds of opponents so your win chance with auto-battle should always be 100%. You can also double the battle speed by clicking on the fast foward, double right-arrows, on the mid-top right side of the screen when you are in battle.

6
After your first fight, you should get a cutscene and a system notification telling you to claim your "Rewards". Remmeber that you get 1 "Summon Ticket" from the "Final Fantasy VII Remake Event" and a chance for another 1 "Summon Ticket" from the "Special Login Reward"; Like 90% chance of getting a "Summon Ticket". *OUTDATED, was only available during the FFVII: Remake event*

7
Fast foward through cutscenes and auto-battle through battles and when your 4th series battle. You should be rewareded with 2 "Summon tickets" after completing the tutorial.

8
Click on the magicite icon. Every new player gets 1,000 magicite. When you reset, your magicite bar resets so every reset gives you 1,000 magicite. 500 magicite = 1 summon ticket so the 1,000 magicite you get from a reset already gives you 2 summon tickets.

9
Click on the shops tab.

10
Click on the "Summon Cards" button to enter the summon menu.

11
If you have 4 summon tickets, choose to summon 6 cards, the purple option aka "Greater Supreme Summon" aka "GS Summon". If you only have 3 summon tickets, you didn't get one from the daily bonus, then choose to summon 3 cards, the green option aka "Supreme Summon" aka "4-Star Summon" aka " 4* Summon". Do not choose the options that are crossed out in red, they will not give you exclusive win chances. Note that the chances of getting a "Supreme Card" from a "Greater Supreme Summon" is 0.8% and "0.6%" for a "4-Star Summon/Supreme Summon". Yes the small percentage change effects your reroll in the long run.
12
Didn't get your supreme/legendary? Then reset your data. The "Reset Save Data" option can be found inside the "ETC" tab on the right or left depending on where you choose to place the tab menus.

13
Repeat step 1

BIG FAT DISCLAIMER, RESETTING DATA WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOSE CURRENT DATA IF YOU AREN'T SMART ENOUGH TO ALREADY NOTICE!!!!!!11
Drop rate for Soilder 1st Class[Legendary] or Aerith[Supreme]
NEW DATA!! Includes FFVII Remake Batch II!

Greater Supreme Summon (6 "Summon Tickets")
*Each "Greater Supreme Summon" has claimed 0.8% chance of winning Supreme card
*Each "Greater Supreme Summon" cost approx. $20

Data Results:
  • 32 biggs
  • 35 barret
  • 40 cloud
  • 12 1st class
  • 104 total runs

Money that I could of spent: $2,080; Just for greater supreme summons
*Note that I won my Aeirth card in a "Supreme Summon" so it's not listed here

Supreme Summon aka 4-Star Summon (5 "Summon Tickets")
*Each "Supreme Summon" has claimed 0.6% chance of winning Supreme card
*Each "Supreme Summon" cost approx. $17

Data Results:
  • 30 biggs
  • 25 barret
  • 29 cloud
  • 3 1st class
  • 1 aerith
  • 73 total runs

Money that I could of spent: $1,241; Just for supreme summons

Total runs = 177; I actually had 11 runs with 3 - Star Summon too
Total money I would of spent = $2,080 + $1,241 = $3,321

1 magicite = $0.00666. Magicite cost depends on how much you buy at a time but I choose 0.00666 because it has the lucky number of our lord and savior, the "Demon Chocobo".

It also says in-game that 1 summon ticket = 500 magicite so $3.33 each.

$3.33 x 6 equals approx. $20, for greater summon.

$3.33 x 5 equals approx. $17, for normal summon.
Supreme Summon Vs. Greater Supreme Summon
According to anecdotes/reddit post/Steam community post/gamefaqs:

-Drop rate for Supreme card on a "Greater Supreme Summon" is 0.8%

-Drop rate for Supreme card on a "Supreme Summon" is 0.6%

-Drop rate for Normal card on a "Supreme Summon" is 0.4%

Yes that small percent changes the amount of rerolling you have to do in order to get a supreme card.
Greatest Question of All Time: What is my probability?
With the help of WolframAlpha, we can simply ask the question, "probability of at least 1 successes in 100 trials with p=0.008", our "p" value is "0.008" because you have to adjust for the "%" on 0.8% so you get 0.008.

Result? Well it says the chance of you getting that supreme card in 100 rerolls is 55%; in 150 rerolls, 70%; and in 200 rerolls, 80%. You could still be rerolling after 200+ rerolls but at least there is some statistical evidence to comfort your bleeding heart to keep yourself moving fowards.

Here is link for proof:

https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=probability+of+at+least+1+successes+in+200+trials+with+p%3D0.008

Feel free to save link for the future since us gamers love knowing our drop chances.

TL;DR

Chances of supreme in (x) amount of "Greater Supreme Summon" rerolls:
*"Greater Supreme Summon" gives a 0.8% chance of supreme compared to 0.6% of "Supreme Summon"; The list below uses 0.8%!

  • 50 rerolls, 33%; $1000
  • 75 rerolls, 45%; $1500
  • 100 rerolls, 55%; $2000
  • 125 rerolls, 63%; $2500
  • 150 rerolls, 70%; $3000
  • 175 rerolls, 75%; $3500
  • 200 rerolls, 80%; $4000
  • 250 rerolls, 86%; $5000
  • 300 rerolls, 91%; $6000

Note that the dollar value is just there for fun.

Hey man I finally got it from 6 ticket summon. Thanks for the help.
Farit Al-Jungali  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 8:45pm
Without a special event to give you extra summon tickets. Only go up to "Daybreak", the fourth node I think, and just do a 4-star summon. 6 star summon was possible because of a campaign and event giving you +2 summon tickets; Without two special occasions not occuring together, you would have to go extremly deep into the story which means it would take a ton of time.
