Skip the game's intro

Do you grow tired of the intro cutscenes when you load up the game? Do you wish there was a way to skip it or just not view it at all? If so I got the work around for you.

How to remove the files

:Intro:

Now I used to think that the intro was part of loading the game, but that is a lie. The intro is made of short videos that have nothing to do with load time, other than making the load time longer. Yes you heard me correctly, longer. So in this guide I will show you the way to speed up your game, and quit wacthing intros again & again. etc.

Easy way to skip the intro

Step 1: Go to library, RO2, properties, set launch options and paste this:

-nostartupmovies

Now this should not play the videos in the intro. However if you are like me and want to get rid of the files to save memory, then try the alternate way to do this below.

Alternate way to skip the intro

Step one: First off you want to go to your SteamApps folder.

Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\

Step 2: Now look for the folder called "common" and open it. Next you want to open the following folders.

\Red Orchestra 2\ROGame\Movies until you open the movies folder.

Step 3: Now this is where the "magic" is. Now all you need to do is delete the files named: Copyright_PC.bik LogoGA.bik LogoOrigin.bik LogoRO2.bik LogoRS.bik LogoTripwire.bik LogoUE3.bik

Step 4: Boot up the game and enjoy being able to gte right to the game and not be forced to watch long slow videos that you dont want to watch.

Final note: Some of the videos are old unsued videos, but there is no real reason to keep them on your PC so feel free to delete what you wish.

Or just hit ESC.....every single time.

You can however just hit the escape/Esc key, but for those who just want to remove it all together, I hope you enjoed this guide.

well i guess if you want to do that. but i just find it easier to not mess with the files and press a button to skip through the intros but whatever.

@cgerbiby yeah but that takes effort every time, sometiems I load up the game, walk away to get a drink and come back....sometiems i dont have time to wait for the game to boot, just to skip the intros....I'd rather just disable it without my input. Hnece why I made this, as it seems nobody else had a way to do it.
