Play Cuban Missile Crisis in true 1080p or higher resolution.

Modifying the config.cfg file

Open config.cfg in your game folder and change the underlined entries to your liking. I found 1080p the best compromise between readability and visual quality. Of course a higher resolution might also work but it becomes difficult to read the text.

LS is by far the best for scaling up lower resolution games and making them look native and clear.

You can also try the application "Lossless Scaling" which is on Steam. It requires the game to be in windowed mode. I haven't tried it but it should work. Lossless scaling is a great application for both 2D and 3D games.

The main menu will always remain 1024x768 but when you load into the game itself it will be whatever you set it to in the .cfg. Also, if you go into your options while in game at any time the resolution will reset back to the games default. So set the config, and load into a map itself and see if it works.

Don't pay attention to the main menu resolution. It's like this for all Enigma engine games, like Blitzkrieg, Stalingrad or World War I.

I'm having problems getting this to work? I make the changes and I start it up and it goes back to ultra-boxed resolution, much blackness left, right and below...
