This is actually an old version. You could try my newest enb with sweetfx instead over on nexus. Since this is a dx9 game with dx10 options that should work as a better alternative. I only have it updated on my l4d2 mod atm, but being interchangeable between games should work.

Download the version 3 enb with sweetfx and place it in the game folder for max payne, After removing the reshade with sweetfx first.

I really do need to get around to those and update them on moddb.

It just looks like you made the game darker. This doesn't look much better at all.

@<KM> The DooMGuy1666 this shouldn't effect the achievements. I tested it originally myself and got 11 achievements, never finished the game but they were working for what I did play. Are you running it in admin mode or anything?

@top dollar - Try a system restart first. If anything changed and is causing the issue, that may correct it.
Second, make sure the game is still set to dx9 in the graphics settings and add the -dx9 to the launch options like shown on the mod.
Double check the resolution if it's been changed.

I installed this a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly, but today for some reason this reshade now causes the cutscenes and loading screens in the game to look like crap. All the colors are distorted and pixelated and half the screen is black. Any idea what could be causing it?

Been playing it abit now and no issue with the steam overlay that I can see. Prompting me with the steam keys and I can shift tab fine. Disabling enabling effects is also working, so it seems everythings running. Not sure why your isn't. No overclocking software or anything like that running in the background on yours, like Afterburner?

Oh, one other thing, the fellow that had the duke nukem issue, set his game.exe to run in win7 compatibility and that fixed his. You can also try that while I wait to get the files. I am downloading fairly quick, just this is a big game.

It's gonna take abit for it to load and install, so let me check and see.
Make sure it's enabled in the game settings, just incase. Goto the game in the library, right click, properties, check the overlay box if unchecked. Or uncheck it, start game and exit, then re-check it, see if it's now working.
I've had a game occassionally having it off for some reason in the settings.
I know they also just did a steam update, and some people have had issues with some stuff on steam. Me I can't see steam video's on some ppl's guides, including my own that play through the video's link.
But let me get this downloaded and I'll check it just to be sure.

Hi, These setups normally work fine with the staem overlay. I have had one time when someone had to disable the steam overlay with the duke nukem one, but not with this one before. Let me load it up and check it out. Are you using any other overlay software? Also did you set the launch line, like in the mod description? I'm just installing now to double check it.
