Configuring DosBox to use OpenGL
In order to take screenshots via Steam (default key is F12), you have to enable the Steam overlay for DosBox. This is done by changing the output to OpenGL. In order to do this follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your The Ultimate Doom folder. The default path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Ultimate Doom".
2. Open the "base" suibfolder.
3. Edit "ultimatem.conf" with a text editor.
4. Search for the line: output=surface
and change it to: output=opengl
5. Save the changes.

Make sure that in the properties of The Ultimate Doom in Steam the option "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" is enabled.

Now you can take screenshots via the Steam interface and upload them after you stopped playing.

Extra note: If the display after the change doesn't fill the whole screen anymore (huge black border), please adjust the following lines to these values:

[sdl]
fullresolution=1280x800

If you browse for Doom II guides there are multiple guides that apply a fix. They caution that It violates the Steam Terms of Service though, as it involves modifying Steam files.
