New Lorn Teaser!
THANK YOU!!!
Description
Release date: 2018
Story:

The discovery of the Lacerite mines brought the dawn of a new age for mankind in an age where darkness had overshadowed the world.  The new element offered infinite possibilities, as a single piece small enough to fit in the palm of a hand could power an entire city.  This lead to a great era of prosperity for the Kingdom; but, these good times were short lived.

As the mines were stripped of every last bit of the Lacerite, that the workers could pull from the rock, a toxic substance was being released into the air.  The plague released from the mines consumed the world and made quick work of the population: people, animals were brought to the point of extinction; crops were unable to grow and water soured.

The King and his servants would set out to stop this plague by any means necessary, but before they could embark on their journey, a woman approached the King with terrible information.  She told him the truth of the mines and how the precious material they extracting was toxic.  The King would not have it and his greed blinded him to her words; he accused the woman of witchcraft and that she had tainted the once sacred mines and was the cause of all misfortune that had befell the Kingdom.  The King ordered that all remaining workers were to be abandoned to the mines, all ways of escape destroyed, and that the cursed woman be dropped in with them.

With the death of the accused woman, the Kingdom began work on medicines to cure the illness plaguing the land.  It did not take long before a promising elixir was discovered.  However, the needed herbs to make the medicine was hard to acquire, especially considering the state of the world. You, one of the King's healers working on the medicine, always served the King without question.  However, the day your own family fell ill to this plague... everything changed.

A request to speak with the King was granted to you in order to ask for medicine for your family and for a moment as you spoke with him you thought everything would be okay.  But, when he looked you in the eye and said "no" and gave no explanation, your heart dropped.  You yelled and screamed for an answer, demanded an answer from the King you had always regarded so highly.  Your pleas for the survival of your dying family fell on deaf ears. So, you took matters into your own hands.

As you worked for the King, little by little you took small amounts of the herbs and tools back to your home in order to produce the cure for your family.  Then one day as you began to see progress in your family's health the King's Guard broke into your home and placed you under arrest by order of the Queen.

After being beaten and bruised they take you out to one of the entrances to the Lacerite mines.  You are sentenced to death for bootlegging, conspiracy, extortion and the murder of the King.  The death of the King does not come as shock to you as you knew stealing the supplies for the medicine would risk the lives of others, but your family... they were more important.  When the soldier sentencing you asks "how do you plead?" You respond "guilty..." accepting your actions and fate.

They push you into the entrance of the mine were you fall a great distance before slamming into the floor of the mine's main chamber and blacking out.  The fall should have killed you, but when you come to and realize where you are and that there is no known way out of the mines, death's embrace seems oh so sweet.  A fervor in your eyes, you are determined to find a way out; return to the surface and see your family once more.

Lorn is a first-person survival horror game, set in a fantasy-medieval world, currently under development by TeamKill Studio.

Thank you Smile_Cat! The health system at the moment is a regenerative one. For health we have gone with the idea that if you can find any items to replenish health it will be hard to find due to the circumstances in the game. So yes, for the most part, if you get hurt you have to retreat and heal on your own before you are killed by the enemy.

This looks like a great game. Good graphics, and the story is unique. Is their anything that can raise your hp when you get hit or does it regenerate overtime? Btw i am looking forward to this game and i wish you good luck!
