Great guide, I has 2 additional problem not mentioned here.

The game would crash on startup, I fixed this by changing to 1 display at 1280 x 1024 resolution.
I had to change the in game option resolution to the same( using the funky purple split screen ), or else the main game screen was all messed up.

I found disabling "Direct Input" during the main game screen fixed the mouse lag issue, although I had to use "Razer Synapse" to get the mouse DPI just right so it was smooth. Disabling "Direct Input" in the main menu page just caused a softlock where I could not select anything with my mouse.

With these two changes the game play was perfect.

No offense but can I get a text version? I personally don't want to watch a video, i would rather have it in text format.

tried this and game still doesnt really run. starts on screen not set as middle screen (starts on screen 1) and i have no video. do have sounds thankfully

tried to watch the" How to Fix Issues" vid. and that crashed. anyway... The game plays and is fun but the sound doesn't work unless a ship needs resources. no music, no sound effects no nothing.
