In this guide I will be showing a build for Nidus which requires 0 forma.

Nidus

Nidus is an infestetion based Warframe. He was introduced in the Glast Gambit update (19.5U). He is a very versitile Warframe. He can be a Healer, Tank, Damage Dealer, Croud Controll.

Getting Nidus

You get the blueprint for Nidus after completing the Glast Gambit quest. His other parts drop on the infested salvage mission located on Eris. His parts drop on rotation C, which means you need to do 4 rounds of the Infested Salvage to have a chance to get the parts.

Abbilites and the Build

First I need to explain how Nidus's mutation stacks work. Above your ability bar you will see a circle when playing with Niuds, that is your mutation stacks. The circle is made up of 5 parts, when the 5 "parts" get filled up the number inside of the circle increase. That number is your mutation stack. The higher your mutation stack is the more damage you do and you also have other added benifits. If Nidus has 10 stacks when he dies those stacks are used up and he gets invinciblity for 5 seconds. Nidus gets 50+ armor for every stack he has untill 250+ armor.

Virulence is Nidus's first ability, it launches out a wave of infested mass which damages enemies. Each enemy hit by your infested wave adds 1 "part of the circle" to your mutation circle. Each enemy you hit with your infested wave gives you 1/4 of the energy you used to cast your abbility.

Larva is Nidus's seccond abbility, it launches a larva mass which pulls enemies together. ( it works really well with your first abbility )

Parasitic Link links you to an enemy or an ally ( thats your choice ). If you link yourself to an enemy you get damage reduction of up to 90%, if you link yourself to an ally both of you get a damage buff. To cast this you need to use 1 mutation stack.

Ravenous spawns a field of infestations. From it maggots spawn, the maggots damage enemies and explode. In doing so they build up your mutation stack. To cast this you need to use 3 mutation stack.

I used blind rage because you can easly make up the energy you spent by hitting 4+ enemies.

You can also use Hunter's Adrenaline. It gives you more energy per health than Rage, but it takes up 11 capacitiy.

Since you're always taking dmg why not get energy for it.

Also, when you use your 3, whoever you tether spawns a free virulence as well, so you not only deal double the damage, but you also get double the hits, and thus, double the energy return.

The build is pretty solid in practice, though I preferred to swap flow for steel fiber for the EHP bonus.

That and, with this build (with the flow swapped with fiber), the 90% damage reduction combined with the ridiculous healing per sec while in your 4 makes you unkillable against level 250 grineer heavy gunners x30 (assuming youre moving slightly, and not sitting there like a log)
