Plane Recognition Guide

A guide for distinguishing the airplanes of Battle of Stalingrad

Introduction

I made this guide because I myself have problems distinguishung all the different airplanes in BoS, and I think many people share the same problem with me.This is basically a Collection of charts of the wing and body shapes for both soviet and german planes I found on the internet. Please mind, for some planes I have taken only one single silhouette for multiple versions of it, for example the 1941 and 1942 version of the Il-2, because they pretty much look the same.

If you're looking for a complete guide the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association has the unclassified, digitized version of the Aircraft Recognition Pictorial Manual (FM 30-30) from 1943-1946 with four addenda including Italian and Russian planes.

it was still great. I was just referencing that color guides can make mistakes with different camos being used. no need to find pure black shapes
