A written guide explaining all the diary locations in-game

Introduction

Hello everyone.

Welcome to my guide/walkthrough for all diary locations. There are 11 in total to collect and fairly easy to find as you play through the story but some can be missed so be sure to follow the guide carefully.

• IMPORTANT
  Once you exit a door you cannot get back in, so if you miss a diary you will have to start the game from the beginning, so please read and follow the guide carefully before entering a door.

Diary 1

City Walls
You will need a Mushroom Bomb for this diary but if you don't yet have one you will need to head to Sunny Field and then head west to the save point and talk to a guy called Astat, he will give two mushroom bombs and tell you to go collect his disks from the same location as the diary.

Within the city walls location you will find two pumpkins on the east side of the main gate, further east is a small group of mushrooms that will require a mushroom bomb to destroy them, once destroyed you can head through the gap in the wall and on the right side is your first diary.

Diary 2

River Cave
Go to River and on the far west side near the wooded area you will find a cave with a green bug inside and a locked gate.
To access the gate you will need to go to Hedgehogs Pasture and take the yellow grass surrounding the gold doors, then return to the bug and give him the grass so he will give you the key to the gate, unlock the gate and on the other side you will find a diary.

Dairy 3

Suburbs Bugslayers Cave
Before you can access this diary you will need to complete the Tribe quest by clearing all rooms including the room outside, the room outside is located at hedgehogs pasture next to the nearest save point as you enter the area.

Once you have completed the quest go inside the bugslayers cave and head to where the tribe are located, from there go into the back area and follow the pathway around and you will find a room with the diary inside.

Diary 4

River Gold Door
You will find this diary in the northern gold door located in River, you will need 3 gold keys to access it.

Diary 5

River North West Door
Enter the north-western door and complete the arena, once complete proceed to the exit and you will find a diary next to the exit door.

Diary 6

Hedgehog Pasture Central Gold Door
As you enter hedgehog pasture head towards the centre of the map to find a gold door, you will need 3 gold keys to access the door.
Enter the gold door and inside you will find another diary.

Diary 7

Hedgehog Pasture West Gold Door
Go to hedgehogs pasture and on the far west side will be a gold door, you will need 3 gold keys to access it.
Enter the door and inside is a diary.

Diary 8

Suburbs South Door
Before you proceed please make sure you have plenty of pumpkin bombs as this is a boss fight.

Enter the suburbs and head to the south door, enter the door and you will encounter the Pumpkinillo Boss, kill him and next to the exit door is a diary.

Diary 9

Mushroom Grove West Gold Door
Go to mushroom grove and head to the west side gold door, you will need 3 gold keys to access the door.
Enter the door and inside will be another diary.

Diary 10

Mushroom Bay South West Door
Please prepare as this is another boss fight.

Go to mushroom bay and enter the south-west door, inside kill the boss and from there you will find a diary in front of the exit door.

Diary 11

Blue Forest North Gold Door
WARNING: Do not trade the gold door with the guy nearby.

Go to the blue forest and head to the northern gold door, you will need 3 gold keys to access the door.
Enter the gold door and inside will be a diary and if you followed the entire guide this should be the final diary.

The hive gates, i'm not 100% sure where they are as it's been a long time since I played but just continue on with the game and it should give you the achievement.

What do you mean by the gates? The entrance to the area?

You did it wrong my friend. DON'T take any reward from Mr.Bee and then pass through the gates, that will give you the gentleman achievement.

Does anyone know how to get the Gentleman Achievement? I got the silk hat from the bee and equipped it but I still don't have the Achievement.
