Cooking Meth For Dummies

Don't want to be 'that guy' on Rats, Cook Off, or any other heist with involves cooking meth? You don't have to be with this guide, cooking meth is simple. Just read this guide and you'll be a pro at cooking meth in no time!

Introduction

I've been searching around to see if there was any decent guides on cooking meth, as it turns out no, there isnt.

So if your new to Payday or have loads of hours in Payday and just haven't cooked any Meth this guide can help you out a lot, telling you where to find the chemicals and how to add the chemicals in the right order to prevent you from looking like Heisenberg with a F in Chemistry.

General Tips

Here are some general tips that applies to all methods of cooking Meth.

• Meth always requires 3 chemicals, Hydrogen Chloride (HCL), Muriatic Acid (MU) and Caustic Soda (CS).
  
• Containers with chemicals added will have a small flame above them (This resets after the batch is complete).
  
• Try to not pick up chemicals in the same area and at the same time as someone else (This can result in loss of chemicals).
  
• If possible try to have one person cooking meth and any one time (To reduce confusion).

Rats/Cook Off

Now we get into the meat and potatoes of the guide, cooking meth.

Primarily, meth is cooked on Rats and Cook Off however is does pop up in 'The Bomb: Dockyard' and 'Hotline Miami' (I will explain these maps further down).

Where to find the chemicals?
There are 5 areas where chemicals can be found (6 on Cook Off).

• The Pickup Truck
  
• The Basment
  
• Road Side Shed
  
• Lumber Mill Side Shed
  
• The Bathroom
  
• (Cook Off Only: Beside the lab with chemicals from Bile)

On rats you can only make a maximum of 7 bags, cook off is theoretically infinite, until you run out of ammunition or all go down.

Which chemical to add?
Don't just add the chemicals willy nilly, it can end really badly.

1. Wait for Bain to say which chemical to add. BUT WAIT!
   
2. A few seconds after Bain will either confirm to say the chemical is right or correct himself.

For example:
Bain: "Its Caustic Soda, I think"
Bain: "Hold it! It should have been Muriatic Acid!
This means you should add Muriatic Acid.

Bain: "Its Hydrogen Chloride, I think"
Bain: "These internet discriptions are iffy at best"
Bain hasn't corrected himself, so you should add Hydrogen Chloride.

Where to add them?
Now you know which chemical to add it can still go wrong if you have no idea where to put it.

There are 3 spots to add the chemicals one for each chemical believe it or not,

Hotline Miami/Dockyard

Cooking Meth on Hotline Miami and Dockyard are the same, but is very different to Rats and Cook Off. Make sure to read this section thourghly as you could miss out on millions worth of extra loot.

Where to find the chemicals?

• Around the Lab
  
• Crates in the basements

Which chemical to add?
The order for both Hotline Miami and Dockyard is:
Mu > Cs > Hcl



Important!
