Will Guide for Each Specific Town Role (Inc Coven)
Autorstwa: LaughingButterCup
I am an expreienced player, I have over 1100 hours racked up on this and 2000+ games played on this. This is a guide to help the people who don't know how to setup their will for certain roles since each role will have a different will from each other. I am not saying that other guides that give you templates are wrong by any means, it's just they tend not to have enough info that i'd have in it, plues with my experience, i know what works best! If you feel like my wills should be different feel free to tell me why in the comments below!

This guide has been updated for the new coven roles!

Jailor
As jailor, you need to make sure you have not just who you jailed, but what role they claimed, seems pretty simple but I have seen a lot of people put otherwise!

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Jailor
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
Night 2 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
Night 3 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
Night 4 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
Night 5 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
Night 6 - <Who you jailed> (claims <role claimed>)
And so on

You can also leave any notes below to say who you suspect, what jailed people say and so on but you don't have to! If a target does not claim, i'd reccomend executing sine most of the time they will be evil role....but not always, same as if they'd claim and evil roles. You do what you want with survivor claims!

Investigator
This is another role where leaving a will is important, especially for later on in the game

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Investigator
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
Night 2 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
Night 3 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
Night 4 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
Night 5 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
Night 6 - <Who you investiagted> ( <roles that appear>)
And so on

I'd suggest leaving it in the format as "<role1>/ <role2>/ <role3>" e.g. vigi/ vet/ mafioso
Also if your target comes up as vigi/ vet/ mafioso and later on the godfather dies, i'd suggest checking them again to see if they changed roles from mafioso to bodyguard. You can leave any suspicions below the will e.g. if two of more people come up as bg/ gf or arso etc.

Sheriff
This is, one again, another role where leaving a will is important, especially for later on in the game! This will might be useful for executioners and werewolfs!

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Sheriff
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
Night 2 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
Night 3 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
Night 4 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
Night 5 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
Night 6 - <Who you investiagted> ( <Whatever appears>)
And so on

For where I said <Whatever appears>, i'd suggest leaving it in the format ns/gf (If appears at not suspicious) or Mafia, Sk or Werewolf (if it comes up as Mafia, Sk or Werewolf..fairly obvious!) Feel free to put suspicions on people of you think they are the godfather etc.

Lookout
This is, one again, another role where leaving a will is important, especially for later on in the game!

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Lookout
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
Night 2 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
Night 3 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
Night 4 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
Night 5 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
Night 6 - <Who you watched> ( <Who visited your target>)
And so on

Making notes is quite important here. I you find someone evil kill your target, say "<Name> are <Mafia/ sk/ arso etc>" and that if you can prove town as well, even survivor (since they visited themselves if vesting)!

Spy
This has been updated for the lastest spy change

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Spy
===========================

N1 - <Who you bugged, if something happens, place here>
N2 - <Who you bugged>
N3 - <Who you bugged>

Mafia visted :
N1 - <Who mafia and/or coven visited, if twice just put "(twice)" after>
N2 - <Who mafia and/or coven visited>
N3 - <Who mafia and/or coven visited>
etc...

So alongside all of this info, you might want to put who has not been visited by mafia and/or coven as well as people who have survived. Then just any basic info you feel town needs to know!

Bodyguard
This is a role where it isn't as important to have a will but can be useful in some cases e.g. if healed! You may want to use this will for arsonist and godfather!

This is how i'd set ot out!

<Your Name> the Bodyguard
===========================

Night 1 - <Target protected>
Night 2 - <Target protected>
Night 3 - <Target protected>
Night 4 - <Target protected>
Night 5 - <Target protected>
Night 6 - <Target protected>

Any extra notes may be useful but it isn't needed, only put if you believe someone is evil or not!
Also if you protected yourself, you may want to put Myself (<Either Attacked or Wasted>)

Doctor
This is a role where it isn't as important to have a will but can be useful in some cases e.g. if healed!

This is how i'd set ot out!

<Your Name> the Doctor
===========================

Night 1 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)
Night 2 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)
Night 3 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)
Night 4 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)
Night 5 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)
Night 6 - <Target healed> (<Whether attacked or not>)

Any extra notes may be useful but it isn't needed, only put if you believe someone is evil or not!
Also if you heal yourself, you may want to put Myself (<Either Attacked or Wasted>)

Vigilante
This will is important, especially if you actually shoot! You may want to use this will as mafioso!

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Vigilante
===========================

Night 1 - <If you shoot, say who and if immune, othwise say"not shooting">
Night 2 - <If you shoot, say who and if immune, othwise say"not shooting">
Night 3 - <If you shoot, say who and if immune, othwise say"not shooting">
Night 4 - <If you shoot, say who and if immune, othwise say"not shooting">
Night 5 - <If you shoot, say who and if immune, othwise say"not shooting">

I'd suggest saying below who you shot and whether they are immune! Other notes may be useful as well!

Veteran
Most likely the most useless will but it might still be useful in some cases!

This is how i'd set it out!

<Your name> the Veteran
===========================

Night 1 - <Whether Alerted or not, if alerted, say who you kill>
Night 2 - <Whether Alerted or not, if alerted, say who you kill>
Night 3 - <Whether Alerted or not, if alerted, say who you kill>
Night 4 - <Whether Alerted or not, if alerted, say who you kill>
Night 5 - <Whether Alerted or not, if alerted, say who you kill>

Seems fairly obvious if you are veteran, you are confirmed but if they person who visited you does not say that they visited you, you aint proven, so just have a will, because someone else might claim veteran as a last minute call!

Escort
You are expected to have a will for escort as well, just so you prove that you did roleblocked them, but if you die by sk, then the last person you rbed may be sk or if you rbed mafia and they didnt attack and so on. This is also useful for consorts!

I's suggest having you will like this

<Your Name> the Escort
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you roleblocked>
Night 2 - <Who you roleblocked>
Night 3 - <Who you roleblocked>
Night 4 - <Who you roleblocked>
Night 5 - <Who you roleblocked>
Night 6 - <Who you roleblocked>
And so on

You are best leaving info below like, " If I die by sk, the last person I rbed might be serial killer" or if you rbed the last mafia etc!

Medium
Medium is a role thatt'll benefit from a will later on in a game because any info you get from the dead may be useful! This might be a good claim for most random mafia!

I'd suggest having your will like this

<YourName> the Medium
===========================

Underneath that, put any useful info in your will, any suspicions as it may be useful! You most likely wont need to write much in the will in first few nights because town tend to leave if they die early on, however some might stay so be prepared to write what they have to say!

Transporter
As transporter, it is most likely the best person to keep a will so investigators will know from their findings

I'd suggest your will be like this

<Your Name> the Transporter
===========================

Night 1 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
Night 2 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
Night 3 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
Night 4 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
Night 5 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
Night 6 - <Target 1> / <Target 2>
And so on

I'd suggest not moving people around, but instead move the same person twice so that investigations are not getting ruined by trans but also it proves there is an arso as well!

Mayor
This is a will that isn't as useful but can be if you want it to! Used to be very important when you were able to wisper to revealed mayor but now he is less useful but still.

You might want to use this

<Your Name> the Mayor
===========================

Info you can put here can be, people roles that they claim, other info etc! I'd suggest not revealing unlesss forced to, if revived, dont reveal, just ask for roles!

Retributionist
This is also one of the most useless wills that a role needs to have but you might as well, just in case!

All you need to put is

<YourName> the Retributionist
===========================

Thats it really, put any info you want below like who you revived but its pretty self explanitory, a will is basically useless!

Vampire Hunter
This is the role you are least likely to become, because first of all there has to be a vampire in the game (which is rare itself) but you also have a 1/3 chance of being tk but if you are 'Lucky?' enough to have a will, you might want to set it out like this!

<Your Name> the Vampire Hunter
===========================

Night 1 - <Target> (<Either vamp or not>)
Night 2 - <Target> (<Either vamp or not>)
Night 3 - <Target> (<Either vamp or not>)
Night 4 - <Target> (<Either vamp or not>)
Night 5 - <Target> (<Either vamp or not>)

If all the vamps are killed, you will become vigilante with one shot so you might as well revert to that will!

Survivor / Amnesiac
Both of these roles can either help mafia or town, in reality i'd suggest helping town but you decide ;) If amne becomes town, just use the roles from above!

Survivor you don't exactly need a will but if you did, i'd suggest have it like this!

<Your Name> the Survivor
===========================

Night 1 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>
Night 2 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>
Night 3 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>
Night 4 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>
Night 5 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>
Night 6 - <Whether you vested or not (if vested, whether you were attacked or not)>

Like I said, you dont need a will for survivor, but it's your choice!

Witch
Now this is a will you definately do not need but I like to leave a will just to say who I controlled and what they are, helping both evils and town!

This is how I have my will:

<Your name> the Witch
==========================

Night 1 - (Controlled Target) > (Target)
Night 2 - (Controlled Target) > (Target)
Night 3 - (Controlled Target) > (Target)
Night 4 - (Controlled Target) > (Target)

<1st night target> is <their role>
<2nd night target> is <their role>
<3rd night target> is <their role>
<4th night target> is <their role>

Once again, you do not need a will but I like to leave one anyway!

Coven - Crusader
Crusader is one of my new favorite roles, and saying who you protected is ideal for town to know who was attacked or not!

<Your Name> the Crusader
===========================

Night 1 - <Target protected>
Night 2 - <Target protected>
Night 3 - <Target protected>
Night 4 - <Target protected>
Night 5 - <Target protected>
Night 6 - <Target protected>

The only problem with crus is that it kills town, and in a lot of cases, they kill more town than evils. I'd recommend revealing you are crus and that you are on someone early on (only if you know there is another tp in your game) so that you reduce the risk of killing townie's!

Coven - Tracker
This role seems like one that will be hard to fake and so a will is needed. It may be able to find who kills who so it's one of the more important roles in my honest opinion.

Here is a will i'd recommend for now (I may change this once I played the role more):

<Your name> the Tracker
===========================

Night 1 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
Night 2 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
Night 3 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
Night 4 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
Night 5 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
Night 6 - <Who you watched> ( <Whoever they visit, if they were jailed etc>)
And so on

You might want to add what happened to the person who your target visited if they claimed anything, like say if they were roleblocked or poisoned!

Coven - Trapper
This is a role that most likely dosent need a will, as if you do say who you placed a trap on then the evils won't visit them. However, its best using a will for trapper on the VIP gamemode as then you can just say like 'placed trap on VIP' although doing so may get you killed by another Trapper:

<Your Name> the Trapper
===========================

Night 1 - N/A (Building trap)
Night 2 - Trap placed on <"Someone" until trap is triggered, then put name here>
Night 3 - Waiting (If trap triggered, say by who)
Night 4 - Building Trap
Night 5 - Trap placed on <name>
Night 6 - Waiting (If trap triggered, say by who)
And so on...

So, you don't want to reveal to the evils who you placed the trap on so I put N2 - Placed on someone special. Once the trap is triggered, I will then go back and change it to N2 - Placed on *name* (triggered by *role that triggered it*)

Once again, i'd recommend you dont put who you placed the traps on. However i'd leave a notepad open so you know who you placed a trap on if jailor asks etc...

Coven - Psychic
Psychic i'd say is one of the most important roles out there, and may be the most important town to have a will.

This is how i'd recommend you set out this will (for now, may change once I played as them more!)

<Your name> the Psychic
===========================

Night 1 - The three targets who appeared (e.g. ButterCup/Bubbles/Blossom is evil)
Night 2 - Whoever is town (e.g. ButterCup/Blossom is Town)
Night 3 - The next three targets who appeared
Night 4 - Whoever is town
Night 5 - The next three targets who appeared
Night 6 - Whoever is town
And so on

Beneath this, i'd recommend saying what you think the (potentially evil) targets roles are and who you think is evil! You can also say who the proven town roles are, if you so wish.

Coven - Guardian Angel
I'm still 50/50 on whether you need a will as Guardian Angel but, here are a few things you might want to add into your will:

<Your name> the Guardian Angel
===============================

My target is <Targets name>

I healed him nights <nights healed>

If your target dies, just carry on with the survivor will I guess. T6here is not much more I can say thaty you need to add as Guardian Angel, your the boss to decide whether they need a will or not!

End Note
Most town you do need a will, some you do not but i'd suggest always have a will, no matter what role you are because it might help you! I hope this guide is useful as it did take me a while to complete! I did create it all, the screenshots are mine (becuase it says ButterCup)!

Also the "===========================" is just for design, either change it or leave it blank, it's up to you!

ret needs to be updated, it had an overhaul where it functions like a necromancer but for town.
Syl700 10 września 2018 o 22:25
What if you are an evil role trying to be a good role to fool the Investigator or town in general or whatever? I'm talking about Blackmailer faking as Spy or GodFather faking as BodyGuard or... even someone not Mafia. Like Werewolf. It's kinda hard to fake a will as a Werewolf. Anyways, I think you should add that for tricky roles like Werewolf or Pirate or whatever feels tricky to wriite a fake will for. Just throwing ideas! Good guide though!

oh, spy nerfed? eh, It makes sense. the problem wasn't theri capcaibilty, it was that in their orginal state, unless they were a random roll, people would be ultra careful or lie when knwoing a spy was out. By reducing the coverage, you can have a better chance of mafia/coven/vamp not being aware of what awaits them

Can you do a will for Spy and blackmailer please?
LaughingButterCup  [autor] 17 maja 2018 o 15:18
Yeah, if you are going to follow a template then you should pick a role thats on the same investigator result as your role (i.e. escort will for consort) to make it more believable!
Darth Xerxes 10 kwietnia 2018 o 9:42
what about killing roles like maf or sk?
gump balls [galot] 24 marca 2018 o 10:05
No problem, buddy.
LaughingButterCup  [autor] 22 marca 2018 o 16:20
Thanks for pointing it out, it's been fixed now :D

The will for "Trapper" says "Crusader". Just letting you know.

I think this guide is very good. Could you also add an updated guide on normal ranked as well?
Thanks you
