A simple walkthrough for the steps of it's always monday.

Introduction

I know this may not be a necessary guide, but it's always monday was an unexpected gem of a game. This guide is also a solid opportunity for me to practice steps in a sequence, so forgive me if it seems more handholding and image heavy than would seem necessary. Hopefully this will help me as much, in the end, as it may you.

Steps 1-4 can be done in any order, but I felt listing them in order of appearance starting from your spawning point was the most focused and best way of proceeding.

I'd advise you play through the game and discover everything you can for yourself, even check out some of the secrets and fun extra things to do. Of course, it is my hope that this guide will help you if you're stuck.

So let's get started.

From the start, you'll see a series of post-it notes on the bottom rim of your monitor. As you complete steps in the game, the numerical post-it notes will reduce.

Step 1 - Not Safe For Work

The Chatroulette on the right of the screen will be our First Step.

Click it once and it will bring you into the chat screen. It doesn't matter what dialogue options you chose, the same messages will play the same every time.

The girl in the chat will eventually send you a set of files, 3 images of her (allegedly). Click through them and as you reach the 3rd image, your boss will come around to your cubicle. You will have the option to press "H" and close them, but pressing it won't actually do anything.

Got caught, nice work.

Step 2 - Locked Door

You'll respawn at your desk, a post-it note will fall, 4 Steps remain.
Press the power button in the bottom left corner of the monitor.

Head out of your cubicle and meet the rest of your coworkers. Complete copies of you, all Bobs.
To your left and at the end of the aisle, meet Bob2. Clearly a hard worker, he requires food to keep up his free throw practice.


You'll find the Burekas he asked for on the island of the kitchen. Just bring them over and he'll hand you the hallway key.
Head back to the kitchen and you'll see a door on the right with a chain and lock on double doors. Head through the hallway after and reach the bench in the Japanese garden.

Step 3 - Breaking Boss

This one is especially entertaining. Head through the kitchen and you'll find a long meeting room adjacent to your boss's office.

Head into the latter and go to the first drawer. Take the key.

Unlock the cabinet and surveillance from the meeting room.

Break the joystick and show your boss what you think.

Step 4 - Secretary's Stash

The poor secretary's fish has died. As you console her, she asks for a replacement.
As there are no fish around, maybe we can find a nice substitute. Head to the table inset into the wall across from the cubicles. Make an origami fish with a couple of folds and take it with you.


Replace the dead fish with the origami fish and she'll end this step with what's in the drawer.

Step 5 - Free Fall

The final step is pretty easy. Just head to the window to the right of the cubicles. You'll see it's quite unlocked now.


Looking at this statue, it looks a lot like Cthulhu, but I could be seeing things.
Head across the red bridge and attain your Freedom.
